Hi all, Helen I too am a Surrey girl (not Irish Jen, must be someone else) from the age of 5 months old and both my sisters were born in Epsom Hospital and I grew up in Ashtead (and had first infertility investigations at Epsom). Quite why I should find it exciting that someone else was born there I don't know! Maybe I'm expecting to find someone I know already on this site, who knows. Sheldon was doing his usual mumbling last time I went when looking at my scan but Katie was there to tell me what was happening! I am now injecting and back for scan on Friday.....
Lots of love
Kat xxx

Hi Kat,
It is fun when you "meet" other people here who are from same area...it certainly encourages me to keep going with this lark. I don't think we will have any more IVF this year...have had a few big things to pay for recently and with Xmas just around the corner....

So, we are keeping ttc naturally. I keep bbt charts and seem to go through the motions most months - whether an egg actually gets released is impossible to tell, but Miss Bevan seemed to think that every now and again I should get one...just have to keep bding every other day around the right time...hubby thinks this part of it is great!!! (During last IVF got 5 follicles but only 1 egg, so it is a numbers game for me).

Good luck with your scan on Friday - let us know how it goes. What dose of drugs are you on this time?

Take care,
love
helen x
Hi Helen,
I think we have similar situations, Miss Bevan said she thought I was most likely producing an egg some months and not others, and with DH's count being up and down too it is just that the likelihood of us having a month with an egg and a good sperm count and getting the right day is so small that we haven't managed it naturally. Which should make me feel better that there's not actually anything wrong as such, but we have been ttc for over 4 years now....

Last time I got 3 follicles and 1 egg and am on same protocol this time. Scan is tomorrow morning and I have to take the cetrotide injection with me in case I am ready for it (that's the one in the stomach). If it's anything like the last 2 cycles then everything will get put back a couple of days so I am expecting the same this time. Apart from that I am injecting 6 amps menopur which is also the same as last time. We shall see tomorrow. We too will wait till New Year if this one doesn't work.
Lots of love,
Kat xx
