Did IVF work in High FSH Case?

Hi,
My FSH was 12.9 in April 2005. Dr says poor egg quality

I am on BP and will be starting Lupron on 12th Aug. This will be my first IVF.
I am curious if we have success with such high FSH.

I am also drinking Wheat Grass 1oz Shots for 4-5 months.. 4-5 times a week. Not sure if it works..

Hi,
I wish I had an answer for you, but actually I have the same question as you.
I was scheduled to start my IVF injections yesterday, but my FSH was too high (17.6) so I am out this cycle. Your doctor said 12.9 was too high? From what I have seen on message boards 12 .9 seems good. Then again, I am new at all this.
Let's hope someone who has some answers posts soon!

Hi,
I got my ivf done last year.. my fsh was 11.9 and the doctor said it was too high- they like it to be below 10..
It came down to 8 in may last year when the doctor decided to go ahead..
It fluctuates in women each cycle ,so hang in there..

I am very happy for you Smita. Congratulations!!!

In my case Dr. is saying that he will to the IVF cycle even if FSH is high 12.9. Do u no if anybody's IVF worked in the cycle when they had high FSH?

hi i wanted to give you a little hope, my FSH was almost 10 at my first blood work... it went down to 6 with my second lot all i did was drink tons of water take baby vitamins and 1600 of folic acid a day oh and quit smoking.. also primrose oil at least 1000 a day but not during your cycle ....

Thanks for sharing your information. I feel better now. Presently I am in cycle. I hope it works. If didn't I'll try what u did to lower ur FSH.

Hi Champa..
Good luck with your cycle- I would also recommend yoga- it works on the hormones in our body..

My FSH was at 13 during my IVF and I am now pregnant w/ twins. They did say mine was high, but did put me on aggressive drugs that did the job. Good luck to you

Kabillion- I feel much better after knowing that it worked for u even if the cycle had high FSH. Thanks for sharing the info.

Smita - I am doing Ramdev baba Yoga now a days.. Mostly breathing exercises and Kapal Bharti. Do you recommend any specific aasan? Thanks for the suggestion.

I am 31 and did bloodwork yesterday. My FSH is 10.5 and E2 is 52.8. The doctor said that the normal range is 6-8.

I am going to go on Clomid and try for for IUI first. Is this going to work or only IVF will work?

What did doctor tell you guys?

Hi standardpoodle,
I tried 3 cycles of Clomid and then 3 clomid + IUI. It didn't work in my case. I heard cases where it works. All the best to u.
My Dr. did a mistake they should have done IUI 35 hrs after the HCG shot but they did after 24hrs..
U should make sure ur timing is correct after the HCG.
