It doesn't matter really how many there are total--it is QUALITY!
I had 7 fertilized, but only 6 were there on day 3 transfer.
Some women have many more with low grades, some have less that are perfect. I had 4 eight cells that were grade 1's, so it didn't matter that I had 6 total, I only needed 2 of the good ones.

It is odd. I have read about the quality grades but no one at the clinic where I go ever talks about quality of eggs or embryos. I'm at the stage where I got 10 eggs retrieved and 6 were successfully fertilized using ISCI. Apparently there was some reaction to the hormones and they suggest that all of the embryos be frozen and that I try for the transfer in a later month.
Does anyone know what I could specifically ask to find out about the quality of the embryos?
Hi Lady's im always shocked when i read things like this maybe cos im spoiled at my clinic ... i get sat down before transfere shown drawings scales and exact detailed day to day of all my embies and from what i have learnt (done two IVF's) at day three they like to see embies that are 6-8 cells with no or little fragmentation (when the cells break up and have lots of specks in them) i had 4 perfect little embies no baby.... now saying this my friend went to the same clinic only got 4 eggs 3 fertilized she was told they where 2-3 cell i think with lots of fragmentation (she was an unexplained with low response) anyway she had all 3 transfered on day 3... her twin girls turn 1 this month... so no matter what they say or tell you there is always hope...
good luck...Debz

Sounds like an endometrial issue to me. If it was an embryo problem, freezing would not help.
