How many?

Hi all,

Can anyone please shed some light into how many ivf treatments are allowed with the NHS in the UK? Ive read that its 1 and somewhere else that it was 3???

Hi Nic,

Don't know where you are based but it depends on your council e.g where I am depending on your postcode you are entitled to two or four...unfortunately I fall into the two but a friend has access to four. Sorry this doesn't exactly answer your question but it highlights that there are variations.

Hi Nic, in Aberdeen they fund 2 fresh cycles and 1 frozen. We're so thankful and grateful that we got to the top of the list. We've just started our 2nd round. Good luck. Paula x

Nic it is your pct that funds it and they refer you to were they have the contract. Ask your GP or your local pct to inquire how many. The criteria also differs from areas. You just need to ask.
In south essex we were only intitiled to one and i was told two years but was seen within 9 months.
