Sex and 2ww?

I am kinda embarrassed to ask this but are you allowed to have sex during your waiting period. I know they say to take it easy and limit physical activity but not sure if they meant this????

Hi, i was told no sex for the first week,on my 2 cycles of ivf,we did have sex both were BFN's and on my FET we didnt have sex at all and it was still a BFN,i think its up to you how comfortable you feel,for my part if we get lucky enough to do another cycle,i'll definately refrain from sex..Good luck to you..Nicola..xx

We were told no sex until the pregnancy test, then when it was positive we were told no sex till after the first scan.

I'd phone your clinic and ask what they recommend. Don't be embarrassed, it's only natural!

If you read and follow Zita West then she says no sex for first 12 weeks. Sorry

i was definitely told not during 2ww. We did not but it did not help us first time around..........

i was also told no sex during the 2ww and to wait for the first scan then later told that not having sex is better the first 12 weeks (i guess because im high risk).... I guess its individual, listen to your doctor and especially your body!

I was told no sex for 2ww, I am doing iui but some others iui girls have been different stuff....

I am honestly not in the mood for sex anyway, dont want to japodise my chances of being preg.

We are told at our clinic not to have sex until treatment outcome is known.
I never did on my first 2 attempts and we got BFP both times, although they did miscarry but at least I know it wasn't because of sex.
