Mia, im so excited for you both this is a great time your on your way, i know how you feel i remeber when we first got our meds we got very overwhelmed and my DH is a nurse .. its really not as bad as it seems i promise i know with our first attempt we where anal with giving the shots at the exact time every day and our hcg shot was on the second we where supposed to give it... have to say on our second round we got a little sloppy we would do the shots when ever hubby got home with no great panick sometimes we where over an hour late with them and as for our hcg we gave that early too i think something like 40 mins early we where very tired and didnt want to stay up...LOL... it turned out almost perfect for us we got 11 eggs some real beauties in there too so try not to worry too much it will be fine... if you panick we are here

aww amy (do you watch footballers wifes/ and if so is any of it real? ) well i hope hubbys team wins the cup we miss you but understand its a busy time of year we will be here when you need us....

Ems, i wanted to wish you a great day on thursday will be praying you post that your starting your stimms....so pleased your af got here

Angela, i love this new symptoms are a great thing a change is as good as a rest... side affects are a good sign something is happening i do hope you feel better soon

Eileen, thats great to get a definate date your on your way, i think the college will be really good for you i have way too much time on my hands so think way too much about all the wrong things keeping your mind busy will do you so much good... good luck with college too two exciting things at once

Thanks Aunty! I am getting nervous but also excited about tomorrow. I really hope we can move on - its been a looooonnnng 5 weeks! Have been off work yesterday with very painful left side (which is where cyst is) so I'm hoping that's a sign that its collapsing. Bleed is very heavy too, another good sign I hope.
I'll post tomorrow once I know the outcome and hopefully I'll be onto stimming next week!

Hello guys!!

Just to let you know that Dh is finally here!!!!!!!!!! We have been away from each ohter for 1 month so it is good to have him back... But straight away after ET (if I get there!!) we will be separated for 2 months....It is gonna be really hard, so hoping that a lil one will be inside me to keep me going!

Ok, might be a stupid Question, I guess I should know by now, after 3 IVF, but what is the baseline scan?? Is it to check if downregg did the job?? Or is it to check that all is ok before starting??

Is someone using PUREGON as stimms meds??

Lisa, 5 days and you will have your EC!!! Do you know yet how many follies you have?? Wishing you luck!!

FOr all the other, all I can wish for at the moment is a lot of patience!

It's so interesting hearing everyone's stuff!

I don't know about you, but amongst my group of friends and family I don't know anyone who's going through this, so it really helps to hear other people's experiences.

Thanks for the messages of support, my mind is boggling with all the details! It's great.

I'll be reading through everyone's story over the next wee while. Such helpful comments and advice.

Souris - Baseline is to check whether you are "switched off" after downregging. As you can see it'll be my 3rd attempt at baseline tomorrow! I've been downregging for 5 weeks - yikes! Guess I'm just not responding too well to the drugs, but my clinic have told me I'm not "weird" and that everyone is different - this is just the way my body is working.

Hiya girlies,

I'm so excited but so nervous too. Clinic has brought my scan a day early because of high E2 readings. I'm hoping that's good not bad.
I'm having my scan in the morning to see how many follies are in there.
Hopefully as many as Aunty (Debz) has shown us on her posts..lots and lots of follies.. I've not been feeling great this time, obviously had easy rides on 3 previous cycles. Very tired, sickly, pain in lower abdomen, headaches and dizzy a bit too. Might be E2 been high. Hope it doesn't go that high that they cancel treatment due to hyperstim.

I will post tomorrow and let you know what happened with scan.

Anyway, a friend of mine recommended a book to read..it will bring some light and humour into our fertility challenged lives. It's called The Stork Club written by a lady called Imogen Edwards Jones (how british). Very moving, funny story about this ladies journey from trying to get pregnant to baby..it includes all the tests we do, IVF, the lot..worth a read girls, I can relate so much to her.

Thanks lisa for the info on the book. Sounds good. i bought Fertility for dummies ( from the same range of Internet for Dummies etc and a Zita West book. Both great books.

Well I'm into almost my second wk of down-regging. I'm coming out in sweats. Can't remember if I had that last time and I'm tired. Could just be coz it warmer and I am heavier. Been a bad girl - munching too many nice things!
I was doing really well on a low-carb vegetarian diet but that's all went out the window.

Hope everyone is well - 10 mins till my alarm goes off for jab time. AF came today and feel so crap. Really bad pains. Nothing new there. Was away to order a chinese tut tut. But then I remembered OMG I'll have to wait till I've done my jab. DH is away working abroad so take-away will cheer me up nicely. Take care.

How long was it after you started down regulating before you noticed any side effects. I have had 4 shots now. Yesterday I felt like I had got flu coming on but that has gone now. Today I just feel knackered. I have had post viral fatugue syndrome before so I hope that this is just the meds and not that coming back again. The last episode was brought on by the stress of our last attempt at IUI.

Also was AF on time. Mine is due on Saturday when I have been down regulating for 7 days. I have to go 18 days before the baseline scan, and I was told to phone the clinic if AF not arrived by then. That makes me think that they expect it to be late.

Just quik hello to all of you. I've been so busy. I lost 1 Kg for 4 days I can't believe when i saw the scale !!! I become a very good friend with eggs. I replaced our carbo traditional food with boiled egg and omelette. I hope i don't get bored soon. I also do not eat after 6 pm.

Sorry, i have to go. Just copy all posting to my USB, so i will have a wonderful reading tonight.

Btw, I am leaving on the next 3 days. Talk to you soon.

Aunty, Jackie & everyone,

ObviouslyAunty's follie dance worked...it looks like I have 14 follies (that they can see)...10 of them are mature and 4 trailing a bit behind at the moment. Waiting to hear this afternoon when they are definitely doing the egg collection. Everytime I have gone to EC they always find more aswell. I am really delighted with the amount have. Hopefully they will be able to aspire an egg from each of them (all my follies in the past have had eggs in them).

They said that because so many are mature I may have my EC on Saturday. Hubby wasn't too impressed as he was planning to go to the football with his son and brother. Great, start of season friendly games..lots to look forward to..not! I'm really hoping they leave them another 2 days and do the operation on Monday. Let you know later.

Aunty since you are clearly psychic and predicted the correct number of follies, can you also predict at least 10 embryos too honey and 2 of them implanting. I would like twins I think! You are now my good luck charm.

Well, after 5 weeks downregging we are finally over the 1st hurdle. All looked great at baseline scan this morning but just got to phone for blood results tomorrow morning and they'll tell me date to start stims and date of planned EC. We are sooooo relieved. At last we seem to be getting somewhere.

Souris I am so happy that your DH is home with you.. You must have really missed him.. We have missed you so it was sooooooo good to have you back..There is no doubt in my mind that You will get to ET and your little one(s) will be with you too keep you company till he gets back to you.. You have us for the time he is gone to keep you up with all the PMA you need

Macca I am so sorry you are not feeling well but as you said it seem like it did the trick 14 follies you are an egg machine They will be big and strong follies.. Yes I say Aunty should do some more predicting and get you two lovely twin little ones.. So they will call you today with the date right? I am going to look for that book you mentioned.. I have some time on my hands (since I wont be starting till September) so that will keep me going in the meanwhile....

Paula well done with AF coming.. I know the feeling of just feeling icky.. I am sorry DH is away is he gone for long?

Angela I did not really notice any side effects from my stims.. I think it just depends I hope you start feeling better since you will have a long 9 months of growing and being really sleepy ahead of you

Did you ever end up finding an accupuncuture person? How are you feeling.. You will have a lovely weekend with your DH getting a little knackered (you will have to get it out of the way since it will be your last time for a long 9 months plus)

For me nothing new.. I got a herb tea from my acc guy (he thinks if AF is around it may bring her on) but if she is determined to stay away that it wont help.. I am just doing acc and hoping that it helps with staying positive.. I have to say (moment of weekness) I am scared of getting to my EC.. Last time all those follies and one egg I just worry but not much I can do right.. I only need to one but I like our dear sweet Macca would love twins.. Ok enough being sappy I will get PMA back now..
