i could do with some advice please

HI Girls, My name is Chrissy and I have just done my 1st ivf cycle and would really appreciate some advice. I test in two days time but I don't think it has worked because I have got lower back pain which I have had now for the past week and also have got some funny feeling around my ovaries so I think the af is on its way so I don't know if I'll even get to the test. Has anyone had these types of pains and still got a positive? Would really appreciate some advice girls. Luv Chrissy x

Hi Chrissy, welcome to the boards - if you read back over the posts you will see there are so many people who have had af pains) and bleeding) and still been pregnant. And I mean SO MANY people. Hi Chrissy, Absolutely! Just read some of the posts going back a while. Lower back pain is quite common - infact, many (including myself) have had the same symtoms as their period. There's so much going on with your body at the moment so I wouldn't worry too much. It's only natural to feel like this at this stage and regardless of how you feel, the hospital will still do your test. Remember though, if you are testing yourself, the home tests sometimes don't pick up the results immediately. Just think of the feelings as your body preparing for the great things that are to happen

hello............... wow its been months since i wrote on here.......... all i want to do is help you guys if i can, i was a lucky one and had a baby in july from my 1st attempt from ivf (i have bloked tubes )i cycled last year im on the old board and did post on the pregnancy after tmt on the new one. as for pains .... i remember on day 8 i was in agony i had pains all over. try not to look into it to much (hard i know), i remember thinking it hadnt worked for me as i had af pains all the way through my 2ww and blow me i had a +. good luck and i hope you get that result your longing for. xxbeckxx

Chrissy, I logged on to ask almost the same question as you. I am due to test on Friday and today feel very wierd. I haven't got the pains in the back, as you have, but I do have the niggling pains around my ovaries, as you seem to have. I also have really sore boobs too. So I can understand how you can convince yourself that the IVF hasn't worked. I am trying not to read into the strange feelings that are going on inside, but it isn't easy is it. Try to stay positive and I will keep everything crossed for you for when you test. Love Donna

Chrissy/Donna Good luck for your tests this week. Remember AF/PG pains are very similar so it could mean anything. Keep believing and we'll all keep our fingers crossed. love nikola.xx

thanks for the advice n support girls its really appreciated and very much needed! The back pain went away a bit yesterday and today but I feel that the pains are returning this very moment! Anyway I test Wed morning so I'n gonna be so nervous tomorrow night. In my hearts of hearts i don't think that it has worked but i did have 5 frozen grade 1's and i do feel confident that it will work one day. Wishing all you girls all the luck in the world.
