Hi Catherine,

This is just a quickie as I have to take my pessary and lie down for half an hour!!

The crystals I am using are moonstone (grey), rose quartz (pink) and Carnelian (orange). The rose quartz and moonstone are supposed to be good for female fertility. I know 2 people who carried these about and got pregnant, after previously having some difficulties. The Carnelian is for your internal organs (obviously I'm using it for my womb!)

According to the info I have you cleanse and charge them by placing them in the sun, and before you wear/carry them you "concentrate" on what you want them to help you with. You do feel a bit stupid "talking" to lumps of crystal, but hey so what. I would probably walk down the street naked if someone told me it could help me get pregnant.

I don't know how far I believe all this, but carry them religously. I have 3 moonstone. 2 rose quartz and one Carnelian. It would be pretty hilarious if I got taken to hospital with all these stones in my pocket!!

I had them on my last FET, which didn't work, but DH said I seemed a lot calmer. I go by the philosophy that it can't hurt!

Anyway, better go and lie down!!

LOL

Karen
xx

Hi all, haven't been here for a couple of days and so much has happened...I am injecting now and have had a headache on and off since I started - didn't have it last time and am on same drugs but I suppose it is different each time,am telling myself may be it means I have got more follicles developing than last time (3, 1 egg). Will find out at scan on Friday. Am feeling more resigned to just having to get through another cycle rather than being excited like I was before I started injecting - maybe this is my mind's way of preparing myself?
Catherine -I have posted on another thread somewhere ( I get lost where I've been!) but congratulations again - you must be so pleased, I hope we can all join you v soon
Donna - I was told they would embed 6 days after fertlisation but it's true everyone is different
Karen - interesting about the crystals - I have a carnelian bracelet and one in aventurine as well which is supposed to be help fertility. I also don't know if I really believe it can all help but I agree it can't do any harm. My sister sent me a wooden fertility doll (she is working in Africa) which was really sweet of her so I'm hoping this might help.
Re pessaries - I read on another post about lying down for half hour - I wasn't told this before - maybe that's why so much just dribbled straight out again?
Anyway, hope everyone else is OK and feeling positive
Lots of love
Kat xx

Hi Karen,
I've got the same stones! The only difference is that I also have an amethyst as well. The moonstone is a ring that I wear constantly, the carnelian is worn on a string around my waist, the rose quartz is carried in my purse, and the amethyst goes under my pillow. The woman who gave them to me so far has a 4/4 success record. One of the women she gave them to had been TTC 7 years and had worked her way through the proceedures to IVF. She was waiting for AF to show up before treatment, but she didn't come. Frustrated she was going to have to delay her cycle, she was shocked to learn she had conceived naturally!

Sometimes the string on the carnelian comes loose and I'm sure it looks interesting as I grab and reach my "lower abdomen" to catch it before it falls. Also, I was so spacy and nervous the morning of my test that I had taken my moonstone off when I washed my hands in the restroom in the lobby of my clinic (big medical center) and guess I left it sitting on the counter. I didn't notice it was gone until I had used the restroom again later that morning (should have taken the two potty trips as a hint of the test results). I was horrified and certain it was a sign for the worst, but fortunately some kind-hearted person returned it to the parking cashier.

Anyway, glad to know I'm not the only crazy one - and who knows, it just may have helped!

Good luck and lotsa love going your way,
Catherine
hello all

I'm a bit zonked out, having taken my two lorazapan (its great it feels like I've had a bottle of wine!) ahead of todays EC. I'm leaving shortly to count and hope there are some big fat juicy eggs inside these ever expanding follies!!

Good luck to July Ann who I know is also going for EC today and then also for ET on Saturday - and Val too!

Then the fun begins when we sit and wait!!

To everyone else happying sniffing, inecting, collecting or waiting,

love nikola.xx
Hi All,

Just want to wish good luck for everyone going for EC today.

I am feeling pretty +ve having just spoken to a friend who has PCOS and conveived on Clomid. She had 2 other friends with problems. One has just given birth after IVF and the other is 10 weeks pregnant having had ICSI, so I thought I would send out my +ve vibes to everyone. Success stories always make me feel better.

I have to ring this afternoon to find out about my 2 day frosties. I am feeling pretty chilled at the moment. I think because this is my 5th go I have lost a lot of the excitement I had on earlier cycles. Being on a cycle has almost become routine!! Don't really now what it feels like not to be taking drugs!!

Anyway, good luck to everyone, particularly those in the 2ww.

love

Karen
xx

Hi Everyone. My embryologist called me this morning to let me know that all 10 embryos are developing very well so they are going to give it a couple more days to see if any 2 stand out as the "cream of the crop". So, I am scheduled for ET at 10:15 on Saturday.

July Ann, great job on the 12 eggs. Can't wait the hear from you on Friday.

Sarah, great news!

Nikola, really looking forward to your next post.

Continued good luck to all
Val
Hi everyone, it's good to see so many people getting good supplies of eggs and embryos. I find out tomorrow how my follicles are doing, so hopefully I have more this time than my last cycle. I have to take my cetrotide injection with me to the scan in case I am ready to have it but knowing past performance I will have to wait a couple of days longer, so not getting too excited.
Good luck to everyone whatever stage you are at
Lots of love,
Kat xx

Hi all

Back from EC, we only managed to collect 6 eggs, so without being greedy I'm a little disappointed! We got 14 last time, so this is huge reduction. Nevermind, we'll wait for tomorrow and fingers crossed at least one of them as fertislised and we can have ET on Saturday.

July Ann - your news is fantastic - 12 eggs. See what did I tell you! The follies grow at the last minute and look what you've produced. Good luck for the call tomorrow when they tell you how many have fertilised!

Val good luck with your ET on Saturday too, looks like me, you and Val will all be doing it together!!

Got to go to bed, I'm exhausted. Lots of love to everyone else.

love nikola.xxx
