Cramping & Clomid

Cramping & Clomid
hi..i just got off of my 2nd round of clomid..i have been having cramps on my left side...can anybody tell me what that means?..does that mean that the clomid is working or am i fixin to start AF?..i did the cycle of clomid cd 5-9...all i have to do now is have intercourse every other day... thankx

how bad are the cramps? If they are bad, I would call your doctor and get scanned. what day are you on now? some people ovulate early so even if you are only on day 9, maybe do a ovulation test from the pharmacy. or just start trying now.
if they have worn off, then just keep trying. the month we got pregnant, we 'tried' every day around ovulation. we weren't on clomid that month, we were on menopur injections. when i look back to when I was on clomid, we tried every other day then and sometimes I wonder what would have happened if we had tried every day.

no its not possible. the amount of time between your period and ovulating can vary greatly but the amount of time between ovulation and your period is always around 14 days give or take a day or two. You will see many people talking about the 2 week wait on here, thats the time after they have ovulated and they are waiting to see if they are pregnant.
I think it would really help you to get an ovulation kit, you can get them very cheap from the internet. They are normally just sticks you pee on and when you ovulate 2 lines come up.
I think it would also help if you got a book to read like Zita West Guide to fertility. She explains very clearly how ovulation works and when the best time is to try. I learned so much from reading her books. She also explains the kind of cervical mucus you should be looking out for around ovulation.
If it is 11 days since the first day of your period, you should start having intercourse around now. Many women ovulate around day 14 but us for us women with ferility problems it doesn't always work like that. On clomid I think it was about day 15 or 16 for me.

keep using the pee sticks, I found them to be quite accurate despite the fact that I have polycystic ovaries and sometimes they say not to use them with this condition.
I have heard of people conceiving when they tried during their period even! I don't know if its true but certainly if you tried straight after, the sperm could live for days and if you have a short cycle.
However, in the end, whilst I used the pee sticks every day, I tried not to just focus on that. we just tried every day anyway.
have they diagnosed you with anything or do you have unexplained infertility?
