I was thinking about doing something similar too, just so we can see our dates and have an idea where is everyone at, great!
My ER may be even be little earlier, I am supposed to start my stim. next week. I will find out the exact dates on Tuesday....I just started having these headaches here and there, they say it is from the double shots of Lupron. They are not too bad though...

Alicia --- it is Saturday morning, 9am and I am with you all the way!!!!!!! You may even be done by now (I am on Pacific standard time). I cannot wait to hear from you.

Champa - I am glad you are feeling better about everything now! We just have stay positive and trust the docs..

Mia and Champa --- good luck with your stim. shots, you are both starting today, right?

Sam - looking forward to hearing the good news... you have to let us know about every little PG symptom in the future, promise???:D

Wannababy -- how was the show? I treated myself with a pedicure/manicure yesterday night and it was soooo good. I had a male doing my pedicure...

Anyway, I have to bake a cake for this party I am going to today, so I have to go!
YOU ALL HAVE A NICE WEEKEND!

Thank you ladies for your good luck wishes. My new lucky number is 13! I have 13 follies and my endometrium looks good. According to my Doc we're off to a good start. I'm just waiting to hear that my bloodtest came back normal, then tonight I start stims. I was hoping to have at least 15 follies, but I guess 13 is pretty close and is decent for my age. Anyway I know it only takes 1 good quality egg to do the job.

I guess I forgot that my RE will be doing ICSI. I was signing consent forms and I was like "what it this? I don't think we need to sign this". The IVF coordinator told me they do ICSI for everyone, it improves the chances of fertilization. I guess I'm all for it then :)

How is everyone else doing today? So much is going on right now with everyone. 8)

This should be encouraging:

It's a research paper to be published soon, that finds the optimal number of oocytes (eggs) is...you guessed it...13!

Of course, they are only looking at the fresh cycle.

Cool 8)
It would be great if I did get eggs out of all of them. My doc did tell me we may not get eggs out of all of them. But a girl can dream.

Help! Freaking out!!

Post by samandaw1 »

Okay, starting to freak out about my test tomorrow. It is my final test. I have been cramping tons all week long. I heard cramping can be good as the embroys are trying to attach but if I am pregnant, wouldn't they already have attached. I cramp all through the night. I keep having envisions of my tests coming back with a number that did not rise from my Thursday test. I was so excited on Thursday but no just have bad feelings and trying to stay grounded.

Am I being paranoid or could this be a very distinct possibilty?

Hang in there! Try to stay calm. It's not good for the baby if you are stressed out. I wouldn't worry too much if you've been cramping all week but still got a BFP just a couple days ago. I think you'll be fine.

Sending sticky baby dust your way now. :)

I think I am extra nervous too because I think I had to do more HCG shots than the average person. I had to do four injections, last one being on Sat. That is just five days from my THursday test.

No idea. I am discovering the first time going though IVF you do not questiond the doctors as you think they know everything. This forum has sometimes given me more insight and information than my clinic. OR maybe I am just starting to get it????

True. I suppose getting so many bloodtests is useful to our doctors after all

Only one dose of hCG is needed for the usual oocyte maturation. There are protocols where additonal low doses of hCG are used in the luteal phase, supposedly to improve the endometrium. I've seen this mentioned in the literature, but never seen it tried.

Your clinicians should explain everything to you, or at least be willing to.

Hi Girls!

Done with ER and still a little sore. They gave me some meds in my IV and to sleep I went. I thought since it was a local I would remember some things.

They got nine eggs and I will find out sometime today how they are doing. Tonight I get the dreaded progesterone! I'm not sure if I go back for ET in 3 or 5 days. The RE told me 3 days before the retrieval and my DH said after the retrieval the RE told him 5. :?
I will call tomorrow to find out, but I wonder why the change?

Sam - Good luck today! I can't wait to hear about your BFP. :!: :!:

Mia - Congrats on 13!!!! :D Thats a wonderful number. I'm so excited for you and you will be in my prayers.

Lola - Thanks for the happy thoughts. Sorry about your headaches. Can't wait til you start stims. :D Keep me posted sweetie!

Wannababy - Hope you had a great time and the comedy show! You deserve to relax and have a good time.

Champa - How are things going? You've been on my mind lately. :)

Love you all,
Alicia

Wow! I miss a day, I miss a whole lot! Where do I begin......

Sam--I am impatiently waiting to hear about your BFP! Where are you????

Shapooh- I'm glad to hear you ER went well. Are you crampy sore? When you find out why it could be day 5, let us know. I wonder why that could be? Be honest when you report on your progesterone. Looking at that needle makes me cringe.... I'd like to add my tentative date to the list, but don't know how. If you could add 8/18 ET, I'd appreciate it!

Hopeful--13 is great! Congrats on beginning stims--It really isn't that bad!

Champa-I would not be concerned about you not starting with your period. Trust that the doctors know what they are doing!

Lola-Congrats on beggining stims--how did it go?

If I forgot anyone, I'm sorry!

I had b/w and u/s this morning. The doc said that my retrieval will probably be toward the end of the week. WOW!! It's coming so quickly. I can't believe that I will know the results at the end of this month! Take good care, ladies and stay positive!

Wannababy - Thanks for the smile. I promise to be honest about the injection. My regular doctor said he would be happy to administer it. I go in a couple of hours.

Alicia - Aug 17th (ET)
Champa - Aug 12th (Stims)
Wannababy - Aug 18th (ET)

Let me know girls if I am wrong on anything and I will change it!
