Good morning everyone.
Hope you are all well.

Well, the results are in. Estradiol level is way down so I am all set to start stimms on Wednesday with planned EC on 30th August! Its all becoming very real now and I am slightly nervous but excited. Thank you so much for all your good wishes, PMA and prayers, they have obviously paid off!!

So, I've added my stimm start date to the list and after the scans next Weds and Fri I hope to add my EC date.

Good luck to everyone else on this journey. Everything is crossed for you all.

Love Emma xxx

Hi Aunty
I'll be stimming on Menopur - a little apprehensive about the mixing process but am sure I'll get used to it!

Any advice for me from here on in? Being new to this I'm a little anxious :?

Hiya ladies,

I made it to EC today and this time under sedation not general (much better recovery). They retrieved 12 top grades eggs too. My consultant is absolutely delighted with this. They are all going for ICSI now and I will hear in the morning how many fertilised.

My E2 levels are high at 20,000 but consultant was happy to keep going as I have no fluid retention on my ovaries and they are fine. Every day at a time now. Potentially I am having a 3 day transfer on Thursday unless I get sick in the meantime due to E2 or OHSS.

Hope everyone else is very well. Great to see loads starting the stims.

Love Lisa XXX

Good Morning,

Tony its good to see you, i hope that the meeting with your dr gives you some hope for the future i know how hard it must be to recover from all you have been through, if you do end up trying again (and i hope you do) it would be great if we could share this with you i know its hard but maybe looking forward will help heal the past ... i will be praying for you both..

Zirly hey good to see you (is it ok to keep you on the thread?) us late starters could really use your BFP to keep our minds focused... i never had a problem with Lupron a few power surges (hot flashes) but nothing else then when you start your stimms it gets so exciting going to see how your follies are doing it helps you over the hormones...

Angela, wow almost half way there now, i know af can be a pain around this time on my first cycle i didnt get AF then on my second i got Two  a week off that would be great if you could time it that way lets hope it keeps going smoothly for you, as for bed rest i think you should go with whatever makes you feel comfortable i was told to think of my embies as peas in honey they arnt going anywhere just take it easy and enjoy :D

Emma, i have heard of Menopur i do know lots of ladys did really well with that so thats a good thing i can imagine trying to mix it  i am blessed i get Gonal f pen i just turn a dial although last time i was on three injections a day so im glad i dont have to mix those up.... im sure you will do great was it you who posted about not using the cap? i hope someone else who has used it can give you some advice....

No, not me who posted about not using the cap. I am sure I will get the hang of the mixing once I've done it a couple of times

Ofcourse keep me on the thread!!! I am one of those people that will likely have lots of questions once this gets going. For now...I am just doing my injections and waiting til I get to the good parts.

Is anyone on here already a mom? I think I read that there are a few of us. Just wondering.

Keep the threads coming! And yes, again, please keep me on!

Being very new to this :? can someone explain how many eggs is good? What's your E2 number? And any other information on the stimming/ec stage would be really helpful. I have no idea how many follies is good when I get scanned next week etc.
Thanks

Aunty,

Brilliant graphics. How do you do that honey???
I'm really excited about tomorrow and nervous that none of them will fertilise.

Emma,

E2 is Oestrogen. My number was very high but I think they like it to be around 10,000 (in UK) at egg collection.
With regard to the amount of follies, there's no real way to determine whats good or bad. I've had low numbers before 7, 9, 7 on first 3 IVF's and the egg quality was not that great. This time I got 12 and excellent egg quality. Each cycle is different. I've had FSH from 9.8 to 5.8, ranging cycle to cycle.
Ideally having eggs in the late teens would be perfect as it gives more chances of having loads of embryos and having some frozen for repeat visits. But it is the quality not the quantity that counts.

Hey,
Emma, i think the stimming fase is the most exciting and the most stressful it has the most highs and lows of a cycle... as for eggs 1 egg with lots of fragmentation can be better than 10 eggs graded 1 with no fragmentation there is just no way to know...eg: i had 4 brilliant embies put back got a BFN my friend had 4 eggs at ER 3 fertilized she was told they where very poor quality i think only 2-4 cells at day 3 and lots of fragmentation she now has twin girls, so just remember no matter what your told there is always hope... ooo plus at my scans i was told i had around 5 good follies even the final scan we expected to only get a couple of eggs we got 11, 10 of those mature so dont pay too much mind to the scan either just enjoy seeing your little one/s growing

Lisa, i get the graffix from http://www.cheesebuerger.de dont forget to look in the top right hand corner to change the language  im predicting tons of embies for you some frosties too not that you will need them with getting twins this time

Jackie hows the work week starting i hope its a good one

hugs to all...debz

Evening Ladies...

Only 8 days to go until I start Burselin injections. Getting a little freaked now.

Just a quick question. I've read a lot about baby asprin and IVF and how it can increase the chance of a BFP due to it increasing bloodflow to the ovaries and uterus. My clinic here doesn't do this but has anyone been advised to take Aspirin while doing their stims??

Hope all is well with every one.

Thanks for your info girls - very helpful.

Macca - 12 eggs? Fantastic. I wish you the very best of luck for tomorrow, everything is crossed for you xxxxx

Isla - I was told to take baby aspirin every day from the start. The clinic told me it is great for blood flow to your womb and for getting the womb lining nice and thick.

Hope this helps.
