Sorry to be the bringer of bad news but Af is coming.....The dream is over

Monday lunchtime, I had a show of blood, and cried!!! but then nothing no Full Bleed or tummy aches, woke today and nothing however as the day had gone by tummy aches is in full swing and have brown/darkred smudges, not full AF, but i am certain that Af will arrive over night, if not by bed time!!!

However, if it does arrive tonight I know for a fact that I ovulated when i thought i did and i am sure that IUI was done at right time.....

So the Q is???

Why???

And what next???

I know this is not definate BFN news but it will be, believe me! Will post more when i know for sure, but hey thanks to everyone it's cheered me up no end reading all ur posts x x x

Love ya all x x x x

Hey there... I hope that horrid AF will not show her head! And I am SOO sorry if she does.

I just wanted to tell you that I went through 4 cycles of Clomid and 4 Follistim w/ IUI and non of them worked.

I just finished my first IVF (which I never thought I would do) or at least I never though I would have to do.... I go in for my Beta this Thursday. Anyhow I am not sure what you have considered, but the IVF was diagnostic for me, as we have some slight male fert. issues, and I was dianosed as competely fine. No endo, normal cycles, good horomone levels, and I am 33. But after doing my first IVF we had 11 follis and only 5 ended up being good enough to fertilize. And only 3 of the 5 made it to transfer. My point is now the Dr. thinks my egg quality is not the best and that is why the IUI always failed. Even though they said I produce a lot of eggs and they thought from that they would be good quality. Well the three we transfered where great quality, but obviously a lot of mine where not. I just want you to know there are more steps to be taken if this fails. Lets hope it does not.

Hang in there!

Hi there

I don't know what to say. I really hope AF doesn't show.
I think everyone's experiences are different as to when they move on from IUI to IVF. I know our doc said if IUI hasn't worked by the 4th attempt the chances of it working after that were slim.

We had an attempt at IVF. It nearly worked. Sadly my faint positive didn't last long. After our disappointment, DH's sperm problems seemingly disappeared (put down to the colder weather), so we decided to try 3 lots of IUI to at least put our mind at rest that we'd tried the 'less invasive' approach.

Sadly it didn't work. But I am glad we tried. Now I feel ready to move on, back to our second attempt at IVF. I think if we hadn't given IUI our best shot then I would have always wondered if we could have got our miracle without the hideous procedures, drugs and expense that is IVF.

OK IUI didn't work with you (though it ain't over till the fat lady sings remember!), but there is absolutely every chance IVF will. IVF eliminates all those elements of chance - you damn well know that fertilisation occurs, and that the egg makes it to the womb. The chances of success are so much higher.

I hope whatever happens you manage to make a decision.

Thinking of you and still crossing my fingers for tomorrow.

Nicki

I am so sorry and I really hope that this isn't AF, although I know from when I did IUI that you sort of know that it hasn't worked, don't ask me how, before AF truely starts.

I wish you all the best. Let us know what happens and remember we are here for you.

We were faced with some choices and from the research I saw, IUI are not as successful as IVF. Of course, it is a lot less invasive and inexpensive so there is a plus.

There is still hope for your AF NOT to come but if it does, you should look into IVF. That is just my opinion
