Kristi - Thanks for the tip... I had no idea... duh!!. How are you?

Denise, I know exactly what you mean about the not so precious kicks!!! I have been seeing alot of limbs poking out of me lately. It's freeky but great.
I really do feel like I am going to pop. Does this ease or get worse... I am not sure if I want to know. :?

Kareen - Cute bump. If you are anything like me, you will be looking every shop window, catching a glimpse of it. Such a proud feeling.

Hayley - Glad to hear your sickness has gone. Now you can start to enjoy every day.

Racquel - Sorry to hear you are on bed rest, although some days I wish I was. I shouldn't say that I know, but boy am feeling tired lately.

Lumi - how's things with you?

Have I missed anyone... Sorry if I have, there's alot of us now, which is fab but hard to keep up (it may just be my mushy brain!!!)

Love to all

Yeah, there are lots of us now!!!

Denise, so glad to hear your babies are doing well. I see your pic now! You must have just recently put a title on the picture with your name because I was wondering who that was. Everyone always says to try to get the babies on the same schedule. Have you tried that? Or are they doing things at different times and keeping you extra busy?

Chelle, my babies are most active at night. It cracks me up. I try to sleep and they start kicking me like crazy. Especially Baby A who is on my left side, which is also the side I lay on. Guess he's feeling squished and wants to make sure I know it! :)

Things are going well for me, thanks Chelle!

I am looking BIG now and a friend I havent seen for 3 years could tell straight awayI was expecting which made my day. She has a 10 month old daughter so DH and I got some practice in cooing and playing ready for our girls! I LOVE seeing my bump and, apart from an aching belly button everyother day or so, no pains yet. Anyone else suffer with a feeling of someone pushing their belly button from the outside all day long (I wonder why it feels like that!!!)?

Kristi, sorry about that naughty muscle :x . It must be so irritating but at least you know what it is. :)

Kareen, it's twins for sure!! :D

Hayley, my bump grew overnight! One minute I was chunky the next it was a bump!!!! I think the difference comes when the bump seems to emerge from under your boobs. You cant mistake that pregnant shape!

Raquel. you are having a tough start so hold on there. Thinking of you.

On another note, at the last scan they had moved position. They like to trick me! I was imagining them in bunk beds and this time they are lying side by side. Do you think they will settle now? What amazed us is they already look so different. From the head shape and features we could identify which was which from the previous scan! We have round fat head and long thin head!!!! :!: :!:

Love to all

Congratulations to all of you expecting twins.

My question is this....when did you first see the heartbeats? Did you see them both at the same time?

I had my first scan yesterday...I am only 5w5d, so the doctor didn't expect to see a heartbeat yet. We saw two gestational sacs, 1 yolk sac in one and the embryo with heartbeat in the other. The doctor is not worried at all. I am having another scan next week to hopefully see the other one.

What do you all think? Normal? It really is too early, right?

LM, from what I hear, I think that's normal, like your doc said, and can be too early. I didn't have my first scan until closer to 7 weeks and we saw both heartbeats at that time. So my clinic apparently doesn't even do the first scan until a bit later....maybe for that reason. Try not to worry too much! I'm sure you can't wait for that next scan!

Saw my two little ones

Post by mariab1976 »

After a small bleed with clotting this morning I called my Dr.'s office who promptly sent me to the hospital. Now, that was before 9:00 and my pre-breakfast sandwich was at 7:15am.

I got there told the nurse about bleeding and was told to go to the bathroom and check for more. I emptied my bladder and checked. Just a bit more. But no clotting.

Then get the word they want an U/S. Get wheeled down to U/S and the tech there ask me is your bladder full. Uh..no the nurse just had me empty it. Back up to the room I go....to drink water for an hour and 15 minutes.

Now I am super uncomfortable heading down to U/S. Both babies look good. One is so active they can't get a h/b reading. The other waits until she tries to move away. Very cute. Both look to be about the same size...so being this close to end of trimester I am hoping the vanishing twin thing is passed.

Now when first starting the U/S tech ask me the following questions:
There are two babies right?
In there own sacks?
Are there two placnetas?

Hello you have the machine surely you can tell.Uhhggg. God save me from idiots. I mean don't ask me questions like that unless there's something wrong.

Anyway after what looks like a perfect U/S I get wheeled back up to my room. Where the doctor will be with me shortly. Almost an hour and a half later I am calling to see if they can send someone in to see me. When they do they tell me I can either wait for the doctor or make an appointment to see him tomorrow.

Now when I first checked in I was having mild nausea and hunger pains. That was about 9:00am but I didn't get checked out until about 12:45. The entire time I only had water and ice chips. :x

Tell me which one would you have chosen?

But I am exetremely happy that everything is okay, and I got to see the kidlets flipping and playing. :D

Maria that sounds like a day and a half! Glad things are okay.

Kareen, I cant feel anything at the moment. I thought i was starting to a couple of weeks ago but nothing really yet. They were very active last Wed. at the scan but I didnt feel anything so I am not worried but would love to feel the 'bubbles'. I have some podge on my tummy so I think I am well insulated!
Have you thought of names? We have one name on our shortlist but that is it! The other will be T2 (twin 2). Has a certain ring to it.....!!!

LM
Yes, at the same stage we could see slight pulsing in both but no heartbeats. Congrats on BFP!!!!!

Hayley, your bump is cute! So are you, by the way! Great picture of you!

Kareen, I don't know if I'm lucky so far or if the Palmer's stretch mark cream is working. I've used it twice a day since around 12 weeks. I'm assuming I'll get stretch marks some day soon though! But until then I'm still wearing a bathing suit at the pool that shows my belly!

The 3rd Trimester is just days away for me! AAAHHHH!!!! Time is flying!
