My numbers are in.. what do you think? (Hcg)

Post by MB »

Girls -- I am so excited, nervous, anxious... please please give me some advice.

This is my third ivf.

Our hcg numbers are 152 on 14dpo and 2400 21dpo.. What do you all think? This is good right???? Single, double, triple????

WOULD love to hear your thoughts.

congratulations MB!

I know it's really hard first we are bad with the hpt's then it's the numbers! 16 days after transfer mine were 314 then at 20 days after they were 3400. So going by my numbers I would say one baby but we are all different.

I think there were two ladies on here with the same numbers - a lot higher than mine - one was carrying twins and the other a singleton so you just never know!

When's the first scan?

Best of luck

Jo

I'm not one of the girls, but I'll hazard a guess you have a strong singleton there.

Definitely a very viable pregnancy. I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the numbers...mine were extremely high with a very healthy (and now very active) embryo!

Congratulations and enjoy the next 8 months :D :D :D

Never got that far so not sure about the numbers......but they sound like they are very strong.

Huge congratulations. Try to relax and really enjoy - although I know that is so much easier to say than actually do

Lots of Luck.

Thanks all for your great words of advice and for your wishes. I guess we were terrified that the numbers were too low but after reading all your notes and researching on the net, I feel a lot more comfortable.

I have another 2ww now for the first scan!

Thank you again to all.

MB,

I find myself totaly obsessing over my numbers. 11 DPT 577 and 14 DPT 1,325. I have some how convinced myself today that they should have gone up more. Most of the web sites say HCG should double every 2-3 days. All this waiting is soooo hard!

Your numbers look great.

If I am not worrying about my numbers I am worrying that it is ectopic. Basically I am losing my mind. I promised my husband I would chill out once I hear the heartbeat.

Maybe the hormones are making me crazy....

Myriah and MB, I think we are all within a week of each other. LEt's worry or pledge not to worry together. My ultra sound is two weeks from tomorrow. It can not come soon enough although I am much more relaxed than that hell 2ww period before the beta testing.

Best of luck

I have been trying not to worry the past week. Everything I have read says that HCG that doesn't double correctly will end in M/C. Today I had another Beta test and the score was 6,181. It doubled every 3.2 days. My clinic said it was fine, what I have been reading says it is a little too slow.

My U/S is a week from tomorrow (9/5/06). The U/S should tell the real story of what's going on in there.....

Myriah,

An hCG above 6,000 is fine. Very unlikely to be an ectopic at that level. They should be able to see the sac(s) by now. They are probably waiting the extra week to be more sure of seeing the fetal heart beat?

In any case, with an hCG like that, worry is not justified.

Best of luck, although it sounds like you don't need it.

I am starting to feel good that is not ectopic since I was bleeding by this point last time.

Thank you for the positive note. :P
