Good morning everyone

I think I caused the confussion with what the baseline scan is. I had read in one of my letters that I was going for a Baseline scan today after 17 days of downregulation. Apparaently that was a typo and it should have said down regulation scan. Baseline was what I had on day 1 last month where they did an anterial follicule count. Sorry for the confussion.

Anyway I have been for my downregulation scan and bloods today. I don't get the results until 1.30 today but I know that on the scan there was one collapsing follicule and one small one. The doctor did say that provided the E2 result was ok we could start stims tommorow. (fingers crossed till lunchtime.) Also they did a mock ET to see how far in the catherter needs to go. At least now I won't be worried about that bit as it doesn't hurt at all.

Isla - Good luck with the down reg's. Are you injecting or sniffing?

Macca - Hold in there. It all sounds good so far. Relax as much as you can. Heres looking forward to the first BFP for our board.

Mia - Good luck for ER. You must be so excited.

Aunty - I hope you have got those flashing stars ready for me this afternoon.

To everyone else hello and hope you are well.

Speak soon

Morning ladies...
Well, our scan went really well this morning. I have 4 nice big follies on my left ovary and 5 on my right with some other little ones which they say could come up between now and next scan on Fri. I am sooooo relieved....I had such a long road of downregging but now everything seems to be looking good.
So, we're on course for EC next Weds (30th) - yikes!!!! I am getting nervous.... :? :?
I feel really happy and excited but am trying to remain realistic...so hard!!
Hope you are all well.
Hugs to you all

Hello September girlies :D

Jemma
You are so sweet honey.. Aunty is our fearless leader here... She keep us all going with the PMA and the really cool smiles also :D For your question I think Aunty was right.. For me and my IVF they put me on the pill and did a scan after I finished my pills.. To be honest I completely freaked out because I started the lupron before my pills were done and my AF started really early.. We had to be very careful with the dates because DH had to travel for one week.. I called my doc in a panick and come on here and posted and lots of ladies told me that it was ok and the doc really controlled the cycle.. So I felt much better..It all worked out so all was good...This will be your cycle honey I just know it :D You will be one of our first time success stories...

Islacraig (Ange) Your DH and mine have a lot in comman.. I go home to post and DH is working on school work.. He is going to school at night from home..Congrats on getting started. Keep up the excitement :D

Angela... the mock transfer isnt bad at all huh..I know for me it made me feel a lot better having that before and than I knew how I would feel.. I am sure you will get good news today to start the stims... :D :D

Emma
Your follie count sounds really good..We are here for you if you get a bit of nerves.. Any questions or anything we will try to help.. Stay excited this is going to be a great cycle for all of us... :D :D

Aunty
Hello honey.. How are you doing today.. This little group that you started has turned out to be absolutly amazing.. I am so impressed with all the PMA and support.. :D :D :D

Macca
Just dropping a note. I am sure you are all snuggled in and you have your feet up (you better be :D ) those embies are all good and stuck by now..

For the other ladies I had read (right before my first IVF) that if you used a hot watter bottle every night while your follies are growing that it made them even better and stronger.. I heard not after ET but up till the ER it was ok.. Has anyone heard of that.. I did it on my last cycle but not for a long time and I was kind of lazy..

love and hugs to all

Emma,

Way to go girl...grow follies grow..They will find loads more too when they get in there next Wednesday. Great number already though pet.

Welcome Karen,

Always nice to have more newcomers. Best place to be here. I'm not even officially a Sept girl (except for preg test) but I couldn't leave these ladies if I tried. They are the best.

Update on Moi....

No spotting or bleeding or anything today..back to normal again. I'm really pleased that no AF or anything yet. So that little tiny dot I got yesterday morning obviously was either from implantation or from ET last week.

I am getting excited and obviously nervous. I am been realistic too. Even if I do get a BFP it doesn't mean I will have a baby, it just means I'm one step closer. Hopefully this time they will hang on in there. I am so glad I did my 3 day transfer now, if I had done my 2 day I could have easily put back the 2 that at days 3 were starting to die. Fingers crossed for me girls.

Hi Aunty

Yes, I was surprised at 9 already, but that's good, right? I have had some twinges on the left side for the past few days but nothing too horrendous. Apart from that I'm feeling fine, but extremely tired.
Do you know if its ok to take pain relief during this stage like paracetamol or ibuprofen? Last night it was hard to get off to sleep cos I was a bit uncomfortable but wasn't sure if I could take anything and in all my excitement this morning forgot to ask the clinic

Hi to all! I am totally confused and need some help (and my doc office isn't open). I started my menopur this a.m. I had to do this whole mixing etc. The kit came with something called a Q-tip which is like a screw on tip with no needle. I could not figure out what that was for. When I exchanged needles from the collection needle to the injection needle...there seemed no application for it. Is this right? All I know is I got the medication in me...but man...it is so confusing to me! And the follistim pen is a whole other confusing issue. I am overwhelmed.

Mia and Emma...GOOD LUCK GETTING THOSE EGGIES OUT. :) I know it will go great.

To all you, keep posting with updates. I gain such strength from reading them.

Hi mommy in waiting. I think the little spots were from implantaion for sure :D Honey I am not sure why you have had to go through so much but I really think you are going to have your two beautiful little babies in your arms in just under 9 months... Its your time sweety.. :D

Em
Like Macca said Ibuprofen is a no no the other is ok though... :D You could also try a nice warm hot watter bottle to ease all the action going on in there right now :D

Zirly

Zirly honey - I have been using the Menopur and having to mix it. It was a complete nightmare to start with but the more you do it the easier it gets, I promise. I don't know about your "Q-Tip" (sounds to me like something you stick in your ear! ) but I know I have two needles, a long green one for the drawing up and mixing of meds, and a small yellow one which you change to for injecting. I draw up the water and mix into the 4 (my dose) ampoules of powder and once that's done I just pull the green needle off the syringe and pop the yellow one on. I know this probably isn't helping you at all  but I haven't heard of the tip thingy. Don't fret though, if you managed to get the meds into you you should be fine until your clinic opens and you can call them and ask.
Try to stay calm - I got in an awful state with mine but DH helped me and told me not to be so dramatic!!!! :D :D
Good luck

Emma...thank you! It is upsetting, and unfortunately my dh was not there for the training...so I am solo on this. But I agree...I got the meds in me (somehow), so I guess that is all that matters.

I know, I was in floods of tears the first time I did mine, and panicked about the second time! Call your clinic as soon as you can so they can put your mind at rest. :)
