I had my 2WW last week and was informed on Friday 18th August (the day before my birthday) that we have been successful!!! Wheyhey. The first week after embryo transfer went relatively quickly for me but I must admit the 2nd week had dragged its heels. I got quite worry as I had some mild cramping and brown spotting around 15th and 16th so I started to prepare myself for whatever news we were going to get on 18th August. The little brown spotting cleared in 2 days and my level of posivitiy returned. So when we got the good news on the 18th, I just couldn't believe it. I am so happy! Good luck all with the 2WW, occupy yourself and live a normal live and don't stress over it.
Thank you very much. I haven't been told when the baby's due. As a matter of fact there has been little information given to me. The consultant said until the six week scan takes place just continue as usual. But I guess 9 months makes it May.
So, I thought the 2nd week of the 2WW was hard. Now I'm more confused than ever as I don't particularly feel pregnant even though the blood test says so. So I think I should stop thinking about it and focus on BEING POSITIVE!!! The road is long ladies, don't exhaust yourselves over the 2WW
If you look on the left hand side of the screen there's the prengnacy calculator, you can calculator your due date there.
Becky the 2ww is awful. I took it easy for the first week then had a few days of retail therapy the second. Laughing is good for you so maybe get some funny dvd's to watch!
Best of luck

Per your suggestion, I used the pregnancy calculator and just had the shock of my life. I used the pregnancy calculator and the day of Egg Retrieval (4th August) they calculated that I am 4 wks & 6 days gone! I mean, I've been saying I'm 2 weeks and 6 days gone as I thought the day the eggs were retrieved was also the day they fertilised and hence Day 1. What do you think, is the calculator right?
I am on the 2ww now and it's the worst one I have been on. Especially since hubby says I am not allowed to cheat and buy HPT.
Hope all you other ladies are ok and managing well. Best of luck for the BFP's.

Yes it is right. In a normal cycle you would take it from the first day of your last period but with us there is a couple of days difference. You are technically pregnant before you even conceive. A pregnancy is between 37-42 weeks - they usually go by 40 weeks. You are definately 4 weeks and 6 days!!
Hey Lisa hubby is definately right to ban those tests!!
Enjoy

i am also on the two week wait. test is on 9/29. looking for clues if anyone has any. from what i understand there aren't really any. only thing i have now is sore breasts which could be the hormones right?[/img]
Speaking from personal experience, I had sore breasts as soon as I started the progesterone so you're probably right that its medicine induced. I had no feeling/sign of pregnancy until Week 8 when afternoon sickness started. I didn't have a clue and was completely surprised when I got a BFP at the first beta. Then the no-sign pregnancy continued and I said to my DH that the 1st U/S could at least confirm if I am still pregnant considering I don't feel much. It confirmed I am pregnant alright and I'm carrying twins. So good luck with the 2WW. You'll drive yourself crazy if you look into every little sign. Try to relax, think positive thoughts and ignore it if you can. Hope this helps
I'm glad I found this forum. No one knows we underwent embryo transfer, so the only person I can talk to is my husband. He panics at every thing he's so fearful this won't work. This is our first try. There were 2 "excellent" embryos transferred, and 2 more frozen. I have been getting cramping and I guess this could be normal according to the information the doctor gave me. They don't tell you much, just wait for the test. My breasts have been tender since i started taking hormones, so I can't say this is part of anything. The nurse at the center told me that after the transfer the embryo floats around for 3-5 days before it attaches, which sounded bizarre to me. Did anyone else have cramps and it was a good sign? I just assumed the positive and at least one embro found a home and my body is adjusting. Good luck to everyone. I'm hoping for the best.
