BelieveBaby-- Welcome!! I am so sorry about your loss. I know exactly how you feel the same happened to me after our 1st IVF. Are you doing another fresh cycle or a FET?

Tonia!!! I am so jealous that you don't have to have another AF!! If my shows up when she is suppose to I will have ER around the 1st week of Oct and ET around the 2nd week of Oct. Is this about your schedule??? I don't know if you should do acupuncture your MTHFR might get you and you might bleed to death!!  Just kidding, the needles don't make you bleed... Hey also, for some reason I am thinking you are from St Louis, am I wrong or crazy??? If so have you been to The Mills?? A friend told me about it and I want to go and go to Cheesecake Factory!!!!

KA-- So sorry about your -ve... Congrats on AF showing up though!! You are off and running looks like we will be cycle around the same time. Good luck with your acupuncture!! I did it with my FET cycle and loved it. I have an appt on Sept 5 with a guy close to my work, so I can go relax during my lunch!!

Nance--hope your day got better!! Did you get your bloodwork back??

Hope everyone has a great night!!

Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm so happy to have a place to come for support. I have to start a fresh cycle for my 2nd IVF. Long story short, when I had my ER in July, I ended up ovulating the night before surgery. My dr. has been practicing for 33 years and said he has never seen that happen before. Luckily he was able to retrieve 3 perfect eggs (he was amazed he found any) so that's what we used for the ET. All went well until I started bleeding the 2nd week of the 2ww. My dr. thought I was m/c. Turns out I was pregnant but my HCG count was low, 8. 2 days later it was 13 and 3 days later it shot up to 60. We were overjoyed and thought it would all work out but then my next count showed it went down 3. I was very shocked and upset since my hopes were so high. I feel fortunate though that I did get pregnant so am trying to keep positive. I am actually bleeding right now (which I believe is my body m/c) so I will wait until my next cycle and then we start over. I'm curious for those of you reading this, did you use Lupron? My doctor used Cetrotide (to prevent ovulation) and next time he plans to start me earlier to avoid the same thing happening again. I'm just wondering if Lupron might be better? I guess my doctor would know but has any of you ever heard of anyone ovulating before ER? Sorry so many of us have to go through this more than once. It just feels like eternity when you have to hurry and wait!

Good Morning All

Post by Nance »

Good Morning,

I hope everyone is doing well today.

BelieveBaby - Welcome to the group. I am so sorry for your loss and all that you are going through. This is a wonderful place to share and support each other.

Jen - Moving is exciting and just the thing to keep your mind on something else during this waiting game.

Jeck - I heard back from my RE's office yesterday late afternoon and the nurse said that she spoke to the Dr. about my bloodwork and ultrasound and he said that my estrogen levels were very low (I'm not sure if that is good or bad, any clue?) and suggested to go ahead at this point with planning the IVF cycle but we might have to cancel if the cyst is still there on day 21. They scheduled me for our class on how to give myself the injections and I have to go on 9/12 for another Ultrasound and the Mock & an Endometrial Biopsy. Has anyone had a Endo. Biopsy? Is it painfull? Do I need someone to go with me? My DH has to go for his blood work and bring in some of his "boys" over the next few weeks (apparently they freeze some just in case he can't "get the job done" the day of). At least I still have a chance for this cycle but I am trying not to get my hopes up that cyst will be gone so I am not too disapointed if it is not.

Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend?

Have a great day everyone!

Nance--Woohoo!! I am so thrilled that they are going on with the cycle!! Your E2 should be low at this point so that is great!! I have had the mock transfer and it is a breeze but I never had the Endo biopsy?!?! Maybe it won't be bad. I don't have any big plans this weekend and nice relaxing one sounds great to me!! I think hubby wants to have all our friends over for a shrimp boil! yummy!

Jen1d--I am so glad everything went so well for you!! Moving?!?! We moved during our last cycle and your right it will keep you busy!! Are you going to do any redecorating??

Will check on you guys later, I need to get back to work!!

Jeck you are the nicest :-)

Jeck thanks for the warm welcome :-) I may end up having to do another month of bc, at least I am wondering. My cycle didn't quite start off normal. Super light and I don't know how that effects down regging. So we shall see come Sept 12. :-)

Everytime I read the posts' in this thread I think of that Shania Twain song, "Let's go girls" :-) Happy baby dust for everyone :-)

Jeck, I'm curious if you start AF tomorrow (or soon), wouldn't you be doing your ER and ET roughly 2 weeks later? When I did my 1st IVF round, I started my shots the day after AF and went for about 11 days until ER (with ET being 2 days after that) so I'm just curious why you wouldn't have yours sooner, say middle of Sept. than the 2nd week of October?

I bet you are excited. I'm sending positive vibes your way, good luck!!!!! Loads and loads of babydust!!!

BelieveBaby-- Thanks for the baby dust!! I need to roll around in it!!! I will be doing the long protocal. When AF comes I will start BCP on day 2 or 3 of cycle and take for 21 days. Then I will start Lupron on day 19 of cycle and then about week 1/2 I will go for my suppression check around the same time my next AF will be due. If all is well with my suppression check I will start stims the following Saturday after suppression check. My nurse had sent me a sample calendar of my plan if I start AF tomorrow:

BCPs on Aug. 27
Lupron on Sept. 12
Suppression Check on Sept. 21 or 22
Begin FSH on Sept. 23
Monitor the week of Sept. 25
Egg Retrieval the week of Oct. 2
Embryo Transfer the week of Oct. 9

So my fun stuff really won't start until around the 23rd of Sept.

Yes, your right I am excited about this cycle and I didn't think I would be!

Cowgirl--Hopefully you won't have to do another round of BCP's!!! Thats funny about the song you think of!! Now, I will have that stuck in my head!!!

Now I really am going to get to work!!! I am going out and about to visit clients and get my haircut!!

Will check in tonight!!!

Post by cowgirlclass »

The way I understand my plan sounds just like Jecks. I just hope all goes well and I can start the lupron as expected.

I am so excited for all of us. :-) Hey I surprised more woman don't opt for the massage instead of the acupuncture. :-)

Inquiring minds want to know :-)

Now that makes sense. We will actually be starting around the same time then. I start BC this Sunday and take for 28 days so should start AF around Sept. 25th with ER probably around Oct. 5th. Doesn't that just seem like so far away?? I know that time will fly though, we just have to be patient. As the saying goes...good things come to those who wait!!! We deserve a lot of good things with all the waiting we've done  .

Cowgirl, you might be right there with us. It's great that we can all support each other. This is such a great place for support and encouragement. We are all sending positive thoughts your way!!

p.s. I love Shania!

It is so neat having people to talk to going through this at the same time :-) I can't wait to get one of those little counters. BTW where do you get them? :-)

The more active I stay the faster the time will go by :-) I must check the board for people awaiting results 20 times a day :-)

I know what you mean. I was just thinking too how funny it is that I'm not the only one probably pretending to work right now and instead writing and reading posts. It definitely helps pass the time!! Most of the time, I can't stop thinking about it and from the posts on this forum, I'm not the only one. That's comforting to know!

As for the ticker, it took me a few tries before I could figure it out also. What you do is go to tickerfactory.com. Make your ticker by choosing what options you want and then cut and paste the code into your auto signature under profile (on this website). Be sure to choose the code that begins with [img] and ends in [img]. That's all there is to it. Good luck!!
