any success stories??

i am 31 yrs old and on my second iui with clomid i wil have insem in couple of dayes,go in tomarrow for a follie check (got more tHis month)
just wondering if there are any successful stories. i haven't read any on this site at all.

I had to post a reply here. I know someone who I met at an infertility meeting, we both started IUI together and guess what.. that she is pregnant...it was her second IUI...I am very happy for her and as I said to her it give me a little bit of hope....I will have my second one in October as my consultant is on holiday for the moment...I know the rate of success for IUI is quite slim but at least instead of trying naturally it gives us a focus while waiting for IVF...I wish you good luck for your 2nd IUI and who knows you could be the next one.

No success for me with IUI (tried it 5 times around age 31). However I met a lady a church last month that had twins from her first IUI. So there's a success story times two!

I ended up pg with twins with my first IVF. I met a lady last week that did 15 IUI's (not sure why her doc allowed her to do so many). None of them worked, but she just did her first IVF and is pg with triplets now.

Obviously IVF has better success rates, but there are still success stories from IUI and it's a lot less expensive and less drugs so it's a great route to try before jumping to IVF.
