It feels like PMT!

Hello, wonder if anybody can help? We are currently going through our 1st IVF programme. I am now on day 8 after the embryo transfer. Over the last few days I have been feeling bloated with huge boobs and the occassional stomach and back twinge. To me this all feels like a bad sign and PMT. I won't be doing a pregnancy test till Wednesday, I don't want to scare myself at this stage. I'm trying to keep optomistic as there has been no bleeding yet (my period should naturally be on Monday!). Could this be the effects of the drugs? Is it the lining still preparing itself? Has any body had this experience and been successful? I just need some answers and comfort if possible. Thanks, nervous in anticipation. Kate

Hi Kate, Not much of an expert myself but try & stay positive, when you read over old threads so many girls get different symptons, you cant really tell either way. Are you using Pessaries?? as the side effects from these can be sore boobs etc. I am also on the 2ww after a FET and am due to test friday, I also had stomach/back pains during 1st week post ET but nothing the last couple of days, have not had sore boobs but I dont normally get them on my natural cycle either....(as I am doing FET have not had drugs/EC etc & I remember this can cause a lot of discomfort) I know its hard but the best thing to do is try not to analyze every ache & twinge as it does your head in......... Have a good weekend & fingers crossed for wednesday. Why not post on the SCB Test date thread as there are a lot of us testing next week & all in the same boat Sarah xx

Hi, Kate, I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry too much. What you are feeling is really quite common and it isin't a sign either way. Many people have felt like this and gone on to have positive results and successful pregnancies - these boards are proof of that. As for your period due date - I've always been told never to go by that because the drugs screw up your system anyway. The signs of early pregnancy can feel exactly like PMT and just think of everything that your body has had to go through in the last few weeks, so no wonder it feels all over the place! Let's just hope your hormones are raging for all the right reasons!!

hi i feel just like you but i have not got a backache. i'm on day 7 from et. oh it is such a worry. well i really hope you get a positive are you doing a hpt or do you have to go for a blood test.I'm normally naughty and test early. from july ann

Hi Kate I, like sarah and july ann, are on the 2ww and I have had very bad af pains, back ache sore boobs the lot. I handle it by thinking there is nothing we can do now, its all down to luck, so just try to stay positive. I test Thursday, so will be thinking of you on Wednesday! love nikola.xx

Hi there, Well it was great to get such a response from all you guys, Its definitely calmed me down a little and reassured me that it can be perfectly normal. Over the weekend the aches and pains did vanish a little - probably because we were busy and my mind was a little distracted from every little twinge. I will now continue to soldier on till my home test wed am!! I just keep counting those awful pessaries down every night- only 2 to go now. I am then meant to go to the hosp friday. Wot the hell for if its negative I don't know? Thanks so much for your replies will keep you posted. LOL Kate xxxxxx

Hi Kate, This is my 9th tmt and 10th et (had 1 fet) and I haven't had a clue if its worked or not each time! Had + on 6th attempt and was convinced it had failed. And then this tmt the only difference is that I had a sharp abdo pain day 5 post et and have had a kinda period ache the last few days! GOOD LUCK FOR WEDNESDAY! Di
