Lucy- Hope your FSH results come back soon...i always hated the wait! Honey your time for abeing a mum WILL come...my heart breaks for all of us wanting that dream. What lisa said is so true...that longing is so difficult and know one else ( except those on this site ) can understand how much that ache hurts at times...sending you hugs sweetie. Answering your question on moving ....YES !!!!i will miss Glasgow the shopping is fab, and my friends and family are here. BUT live moves on. I aint gonna work for a while as i am struggling to cope with the MS .so it makes sense for Adam to get a better paid job and me to rest for a while...hence the move. I do love the area of Forres, it has a slower pace of life.


Lisa- oh Honey you don't know whats going on ...twice i was preg and both times i didn't have a clue until AF was 2 wks late! And i am always a 28 day girl. And, It's okay to feel low. I was the same at last ivf, i think it's to do with protecting yourself.

I am more ar less all set to get packers in in 3 wks on Wednesday for pre- pack move. We are moving on the 14th Sept out of our old house but in out new house in Forres on the 15th I can't wait to jsut be settled. It seems so strange being alone but i will be glad to get next to adam 7 days a week...missing him sooooo much now.
The next 4 wks ar so busy i am catch ing up with friends, doctors hairdressers and physio this week . I go to forres to meet Adam on thursday night and back on the monday 4th sept. When i have another week of busy dates including sizing wedding rings...that is exciting.!!!!

It is full on but i am coping better today after being at the MS clinic for support & sound advice ( & a new walking stick). Will catch ya all soon

Jen I am absolutely exhausted but been really luck with morning sickness, I feel sick most days but only been sick once. I just feel so grateful and happy but can’t wait to get to the 12 week scan. Its not going to be long until your all settled in your new home, it will be so good that you can finally start spending 7 days a week with Adam. Glad you are coping better it sounds as if the MS clinic is very good, is there one near where you are moving to?

Nicki I have posted on one of your other threads, crossing everything for you.

Well I am one day away from testing but sure AF is on her way. I'm sure I've seen the faintest of smudges on white loo roll so will wait and see. If it is then I'm straight into round 3 in a fortnight.

I met a friend last night for coffee after work who know what is happening with me and dh. I had text her to say I was feeling a bit down because I was sure AF was on her way. When I met her she handed me a carrier bag and said "that's to cheer you up" . She had bought me a gorgeous cream cord bag from Per Una and inside was a diamente ring (that her son had chosen for me) a book, thortons choccies, crabtree and evelyn soap and a lip gloss along with a little card saying "thanks for beeing a great mate. Good luck and chill out"! !! I was gobsmacked and so touched that she had done that for me. I felt lik crying A lovely and very thoughtful friend ......

I know you said you were going straight into number 3 if this didn't work, I hope your feeling OK about it, I can imagine it can be very hard doing one after another so soon. 3rd time lucky eh. Hello to anyone else I might of missed.

As for me, I got my results back - FSH was 12, still high for me, for my age but I'm just glad it hasn't gone any higher. All the tests they did for the recurrent miscarriages have come back normal, just waiting for chromosome one to come back. My consultant said it was just unlucky that have had two miscarriages. So let’s hope my cycle in October is the ONE.

I am feeling a bit better too, I was having a bad week the other week, spending time with my family was hard cos they all have children, I kinda felt left out.!(silly I know but this is what it does to you, I felt jealous over my family, mad eh?) But I'm feeling OK again, I have to be strong and stay positive.

A while ago I applied to get funding for my IVF cycles, but they refused because my boyfriend has a child from his previous relationship, he doesn't get to see him though (no fault of his own) anyway I thought it was disgusting that I am getting penalized for it. I have a medical condition as to why I can't conceive naturally, I have been told I am probably going through early menopause, due to my FSH result. So I thought I would try do something about the funding, I went to see my local MP, told him the story. Anyway he is going to fight my case and try get me the 3 free goes I should get. I could totally understand it if we saw my partners son, if he was a part of out life’s, but he isn't. Anyway I am paying for this cycle, but if it gets agreed at least I know I've got them there, as if this one doesn't work for me there's no way I can afford another cycle, I have spent £9,000 so far.

Anyway hope you've all enjoyed your bank holiday weekend.

lucy, here's hoping your ivf gets sanctioned on the nhs- its so much of a financial strain- its not fair that 'not-enough' money could stop us from being mommies that we deserve to be.

good luck-but is your re going ahead with your fsh numbers?i guess it will only mean fewer eggs, but hey, we're looking at quality not quantity right?

Lucy, you go girl! It amazes me that each area funds IVF differently. We got one free go even though DH has children (one who we see regularly). Its just so unfair that you can't even get one. Hopefully your MP will sort it out for you - here's hoping!

Gail, you seem to have a real fruit salad going on in your tummy! Here's hoping the rest of us can join you soon and bring some more strawberries along!!

Jen, hope you and Dh are ok. Moving takes it out of you at the best of times. Just think of all those nights you and DH can spend together tho - pure bliss!

Hi to anyone I missed.

As for me, I went up today to have my first scan since starting my stimms. They seemed pretty pleased, I had 12 good sized follies and a few small ones. They reckon I will go in next Tuesday or Wednesday for EC and then hopefully they will go to blastocyst stage before they put them back in. Unfortunately the timing's not great as I'm back to work on Monday. However, the first week back is a bit of a waste of time so I won't miss much. I haven't managed to find an acupuncturist who works anyday other than Tuesday, so I think I will just travel back to mine and have it with her. It won't be within 25mins (more like 60) but it has to be better than nothing!

hi peeps!!! I am back frm my w/end away, and sorry if this is rushed but know how it is when u get back frm being away, washing and stuff to do etc.....

I have posted on my the dream aint over thread, but just to say the HPT was -ive however had spot bleed on mon and again this afternoon, a little worried as something aint right and not sure what the hell is going on with my body!!!

I cant be having AF aready, i'm on day 14!! yikes!!! Mad huh???

Thanks for your message, i have been popping in and out of the boards, and it was good to hear from you. How are things with you? What do we put ourselves through? My head is completly all over the place, and i really need to speak to the consultant before i can make decisions. My first cyle was funded by the NHS, so it back to the end of the line for 2 years or pay for it.

Yvee, Hey there honey!!! the nhs does your head in doesnt it?? I am about to see if they will fund me iui on nhs as its getting expensive now, had 4 iuis and paid £1000 for sperm too!!!

Its mad, but fingers crossed your wait doesnt last too long!!! when will your consulation be roughly?? Before Xmas I hope??

since my last post I now have quite bad AF cramps, I feel liek AF is coming, but only on day 14, so this really odd!!!!

It is worth asking about IUI on the NHS. I had 2 rounds and could have had more but we put it on hold to go for IVF. We have also been funded for one round of IVf so it is definately worth asking the question.
