Hello everyone, please let me know if there are any changes to our update. My weekend by the beach was great and relaxing, we had a beautiful dinner at sunset and we walked a lot! I am back to normal and feel great!

Alicia --- looks like you had to go through tons of emotions this weekend and I hope you are feeling better now. I agree with everybody, please don't give up your hope, not now right before your Beta!!! These stupid HP tests just confuse everybody, I wish they did not sell them in Yuma!!! Image I wish you all the best and a big fat P tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

Mia and Champa - congrats on your embies, right, always remember that you only need one good one! The time is almost here! And I love your mantra Mia! How cool!

Rittie and Sam - welcome Rittie and congratulations!!! I realize that there are always 2 people having similar dates, how great that you two can share your experiences together on this board as well and we get to watch  I am happy for Sam - now she does not have to leave this board to share her experiences elswhere since she is so much ahead of us!

Myhb - thank you so much for your funny note, you are right, it is hard to be a turtle, especially for me, I am a runner too (20 -25 miles a week), but hopefully even though slowly I will get to be a mom one day as well. I just wanted to let you know as far as running - take it easy, my doc explained my meds did not work probably because I have a very fast metabolism and they got absorbed by my body faster before they had time to do anything with it... I was still running when I was on Lupron....so this month I decided to do very light workouts and take it easy as well.

Wannababy -- thanks for thinking of me and calling my St., that's so nice of you! If you feel tired, just sleep sleep and sleep, be very good to yourself and do what your body tells you! This could be one of the first preg. symptoms!!!

Jemima - welcome, you will love this board, I don't know what I would do without these ladies, I feel like we have known each other for years! Good luck with everything!

Love to you all! Lola Image

Alicia, good luck, I'm praying for a sticky baby for you! STICK SHAPOOH EMBIES STICK STICK STICK!!! :D :D

Ghost, thanks for the info about the slower embies and FET. That makes me extra optimistic because if our fresh embryo transfer doesn't stick, then our clinic inclusively does FET for us. My RE did mention that they have had much success with FET. For some people it has been better than the fresh transfer. :)

Hope you all are having a great monday. I'm stil waiting to hear my embie update for today. I'll let you know more later!

Hello? where is everyone? I'm writting to myself, Kidding, you probably are working or enjoying your day somewhere.

I got our embie update for today! It's looking good, I think I'm going to get 2 for a fresh transfer and probably 3 to freeze, just as I'm hoping for. The speedy one is now 'compacting' and is in the begining of the blastocyst stage. 4 are at the stage right before blastocyst stage. The rest are at an 8 cell stage and the RE says they could still grow. So it sounds like they are all going pretty strong. I'm very pleased! My RE will call again tomorrow to see if we can do the transfer . I want to say I think My RE is brilliant and such a nice man too. A Dr with a good brain and a good heart, you can't beat that!

Hi Ladies - I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Alicia - Tomorrow is the big day. Please let us know the results. I am sending positive thoughts your way.

Champa - I hope everything went well for you today with your transfer. As everyone has been saying, you only need one good one and I hope it sticks! Let us know how it went as soon as you are feeling up to it.

Mia - Nice mantra! Glad to hear that you have enough embies for transfer and for freezing. I hope your doctor calls tomorrow saying that tomorrow is the day for ET.

Malinka - How did you do with your first shot of Lupron?

Wannababy - I so know what you mean about the crappy weather we've been having. I was so chilled yesterday that I was wearing socks! Who wears socks in August? If you are feeling tired and groggy, don't fight it, take a nap if it'll help.

Lola - I'm glad that you had a nice, relaxing weekend and are feeling better.

Since I've started the Lupron shots, I have cut back on the running although it was more because I rolled my ankle three days before I was scheduled to start the shots  . I was trying to get one more long run in before I completely stopped running and ended up twisting my ankle instead. Once I start the stims, I am going to completely stop running.

Mia- It's a wonderful news. I am very happy that the results are as u expected. Great u'll have some to freeze :)

myhb - I agree that we only need one good cell. Just keeping my fingers crossed.

wannababy1229 - My full bladder was actually not a bad experience. Though I was very scared, but usually I drink lot of water and thus I think I was able to tolerate it more easily ;)

At my end, my appointment was at 1pm pacific time. By the time we reached home it was 2.30pm. I just woke up after the initial rest. I had 1 good grade (8cell) and 3 fair(6cell) emb.

We decided to transfer all 4 as the Dr. said the chances of getting blastocyst for freezing are less as the there are more in the fair category. I am very excited that I was able to transfer all 4 emb  I didn't want to take any chances..

Lola- It's great to know that U had a nice time on the beach. My pregnancy test will be on 7th september (thursday). Lola please update the chart for me.

love,

Champa, I'm so happy for you! How does it feel to finally have the little ones in your belly. It's so wonderful just to think about it. I am losing patience, I want my ET now!
I'm sending sicky baby dust to you at 15 minute intervals until your Beta and beyond! :D

myhb, oooo crap! bummer about the rolled ankle. Those kill me. I've done it a few times. One time my ankle swelled to the size of an orange (and I have boney little ankles). My ankle has never been the same. I probably should of seen a doctor and stayed off my ankle for a couple weeks, but I didn't. Take care of that, you probably shouldn't run anymore. :(

Mia-
I know it is hard to wait but the longer the better in most cases. They soon will be implanted and the strongest survive. I had none to freeze so I was scared the whole time as I felt desperate. Now that I have my BFP I realize the name of the game is quality, quality, quality. SOunds like you have both!!

Champa- FIngers crossed for you!

Alicia- I will be waiting all day and sending you positive thoughts and energy. Remember to stay positive and think good thoughts.

Wannababy- YOu are soooo close. Don't over think it or you will make yourself sick. It is out of your control now, just let those babies stick!!

myhb- I would definitly slow down the excercize. My clinic is VERY consservative and told me to stop (except for walking). I am sure that is extreme but the relaxing of the body helps a lot!

Girls- So glad you are in my life and look forward to hearing all the success stories

Love,

Sam

Image Well its an official BFN.

My heart is broken and I feel so sad. I want to thank everyone for the support and prayers. Honestly you girls make this whole process so much easier and without all your postive words, this would have been much harder to deal with.

We are supposed to go back in two weeks to discuss the situation. We paid $20,000 for 2 tries, but since I had none to freeze I assumed we were finished and would have to pay out of pocket to try again. My DH called the RE and he said he promised us 2 tries and thats what we get. So the next time we only have to pay for the medication. So I hope you don't mind if I stick around even though I have to wait another month.

Wishing everyone lots of baby dust! Image

I am so sorry, Alicia, even though you did your HPT I really did not expect this. I understand what you are going through now, I was such a basket case just because of my cancellation, but hey, 1 month is nothing and soon you will be starting again! Maybe we will be starting around the same time! We still have to stay positive. The way I look at it is that this is not the end of it, it is the start and a part of the journey to have a baby. :D Please, stay positive and hang around, we are not going to leave this board until we all get an BFP, remember? Next year, when you are walking with a stroller, you won't even remember this day.
And you are not alone to go through this, you'll always have us here!!!
