Ug...no going out for me. This was my EC day and I am soooo sick. Nauseated and groggy and woozy. Is this normal? HOpe everyone is having a good night (or day where you live)

Morning ladies - just a quickie - had new carpet laid yesterday and new sofa is arriving today so lots of (gentle) pottering around putting things back in their place today - its like we've moved to a brand new house!

Zirly - 11 eggs...FANTASTIC! We only got 2 eggs which we were really disappointed about, but got the call on Thurs that they both fertilised and when we went in for ET on Fri they had both divided, one 4 cell and one 2/3 cell so we were over the moon! Don't worry, out of 11 eggs you'll have some corkers I'm sure

I have been feeling really "weird" since ET on Fri. Extremely bloated and gassy, a funny taste in my mouth all the time and very hot! I know its probably the progesterone pessaries (delightful!) but is anyone else feeling like this with them? Had awful tummy ache in the night which actually woke me up - probably all my trapped wind!! Does anyone know, is it safe to use heat pack/hot water bottle and to drink peppermint tea? It's my life saver usually but not sure whether its ok to drink it?

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Have a nice relaxing Sunday....

Remember to take things easy afterwards, i really do believe that is the best medecine to make them stick.Let your DH and DP do all the work, and when you get that BFP promote them and give them full time.

Hi everyone

Zirly, do you feel nausea after your ET? If yes, it might be because of the anestesia (spelling sorry), some people dont feel well afterwards. But if you do get really sick you should call your doc.

Em, I did feel bloated after my first EC and I think a lot of ladies have the same problems. But if it gets too painful, call you doc!
I was told not to use hot water bottle after ET.

First of all -

Aunty - Sorry, Sorry, Sorry! I will stop reading, and i will keep up my PMA - i had a wee this morning and my DH made me laff when he was cwtching me - (Its a welsh thing = cuddling lol) - he said ' what is it ur lady friends say - PMA!!' So even he's at it now lol.
Thanks aunty for reasuring me, altho ive a long way to go yet, i am getting there

Ems: I too woke early hours in pain, i honestly think it is trapped wind - i found it hard to move around in the bed as it was trapped low down and really did hurt. I think it gave me a bit of a fright, thats why i had my cry this morning! I feel a lot better now that im up and moving about - seems to shift it for me Wish i had a new carpet to look fwd to lol. Put ur feet up (no shoes!) on ur new sofa later and enjoy I think pepermint tea is ok, i dont see why not - and i also thought that a hot water bottle (not too hot tho) would also be ok - i already have used one, but i see from souris input that she was told not to use one so im not sure hun, all i was told was no heavy lifting - no skiing (rather unlikely in Northern Ireland lol) just carry on as u normally would. I was told no 'senacot' or other laxitives for my constipation too - but luckily that seems to be clearing (phew!)

Zirly: Aye i think the sickness is due to the drugs/sedation and more than likley ur feeling very nervous about the eggs 'fertalizing' - dont worry hun, u got 11 good ones - u WILL get a good bunch i promise

Well its back to work 2moro for me i really dont want to go, but its only part time (9am -1pm) and its office work, so im sat on me backside all morning lol. Its just the thought of getting up and going - mind you, it will proberly take my mind off things (ha bloody ha - as if!)

Right ladies, im off to start my dinner - i do love a sunday roast

Hey Ladies!!!

I am so glad the board is back up!!! I was going crazy and then once it came back up it wasn't where I could get on and stay on properly!!

Macca-- I am so sorry about your BFN... -ve's hurt so bad I know and I am hoping that you are pampering yourself really well.

I am wishing all the ladies in 2ww lots of PMA!! It is really hard to keep that up during that long time!!

As for me I have some exciting news and it just proves that God does work mircles. You know that I am getting my drugs for free this time (1st mircle), then I was scared to tell my boss and I asked God to give me strengh and he opened up the opportunity and I told my boss and he was all really supportive and stuff, scary really (2nd mircle) then I have been in a frenzy because I was all worried about coming up with the money for the cycle, because I knew we couldn't pass it up because of the free drugs, but we drained ourselfs with the 1st cycle so I have been all worried about it. Well my DH was talking to his grandmother and telling her that we were going to do IVF again and all that and she wants to give us the money for the cycle. DH was like "no we can't let you do that". She was like "yes, its already done, I can't take it with me and it is for a grandbaby, so I don't want you to worry about it, its done"!!! (3rd mircle) I can't believe it I just break into tears everytime I think about it!!! So, I am hoping that this cycle is just meant to be!!!

Sorry for no personals today, I am off tomorrow so maybe I can get thru all the posts and post properly!!

Becky, re-concerning the hot water bottle, the whole thing is very confusing because every clinics/doctors have different opinion. I was told no hot water bottle, and no hot shower for 3 days after ET...

Jeck, it is great news!!! What a lovely grand'ma yor Dh has! and an understanding boss! With so much PMA, i am sure this cycle is the one for you!

For me, I am on day 4 of stimming and I have a question for you guys. It is the first time Dh and I have few days holidays together and I really would like to take him horse riding. Do you think it is ok while stimming? (as long as I am comfortable)

Hi all. I anxiously await that phone call with "how many fertilized" Should be getting it in about 6 more hours. Ug!

Ems: I hope you are feeling better today. That is the worst feeling to feel like someone took a bicycle pump and filled you up with air. I would stay away from hot packs on your tummy while in the 2ww...but peppermint sure can’t hurt.

Souris: I felt jus terrible after EC not ET. I am sure it is the anesthesia. Today seems to be a bit better...although I have not gotten out of bed yet.

Becky: keep up the PMA!!!

Jeck: I think all these miracles mean it is meant to be!!! I am soooooooo happy for you.

What I am doing is 1st three days of cycle injecting lucrin then from forth day gonalf and lucrin together till iui then progesteron.Correct me if I am wrong, but am I skipping the down reg thing.Sorry to be such a dunce

Well done.. I wonder what the "g" thing was.. you will have to find out so we can all figure out what it was. I can not help you on the fertilization since last time I only had one embie (but it did fertilize and it was mature) so I guess you could say 100%

I felt the same as you with the trapped wind.. It was the odest feeling. On the water bottle front I have heard after ET is a no no. I can imagine the tea must be fine though. it just settles your belly right? I hope you are feeling better..Its just everything getting all settled in there

I asked my doc about excersise during stimms (not that I excersize but incase I got the desire ) she had reccomend no.. I would say if you are going really slow it should be ok. I would phone your doc and ask them..Its good to see you have DH with you...

Ems.. those drugs can have awfull side effects i have heard a lot of ladys have that taste in there mouth from them...i have also been told by my clinic NO hot bottle after ET but before will be fine.. can i ask you a personal q? are you going to the bathroom ok... see i had loads of pain but it was because i was backed up...just an idea, i hope you feel better soon...big Hug

Ladies, do any of you like shrimp??? We had some friends over last night and had a shrimp boil!!! We took a big pan and boiled water and but some spices in it and boiled potatoes, corn, mushroom, onions, little polish saugages, and shrimp!! It was so good!!

I am still stuffed this morning!!

I am getting addicted to these smileys!!! Ok now I need to go get ready for church, see ya!!!
