Hi All! I am back from our long weekend away and just starting to feel 'normal'...yesterday I literally slept the entire day. I am definitely getting bigger and slowing down alot. I did alot of walking over the weekend and lots of hills - it really knocked me out.

I am going to the doc every 2-3 weeks. Next appointment is 8th Sept. and we will do another 3d u/s. :D I promise to post some piccies next week (DH has taken the camera).

The little boy this weekend was a dream! I don't know what his father complains about but he is a really good baby. Only a couple of outbursts. Plus they potty trained him at 5 months!!! Well he goes number 2 in the toilet...I need to find out how they did this! What a relief that would be

Off to my breathing lessons this afternoon!

Hi all!

sorry have been MIA! Had a few days off work. Frankly I can't wait to finish now - it's really a struggle getting up and motivated! Finishing on the 15th Sept so counting down!!

Had another growth scan yesterday and baby is still small. So they sent me to a larger hospital for a CTG monitor and want me to go twice a week for this. It's a moniter they hook your belly to which monitors heartbeat, bloodflow, movements etc. Am hooked up for about 30 minutes at a time. She seemed pretty pleased with the one today - to be honest everything looks ok (fluid etc) except the actual size so not overly concerned but keeping an eye on. I don't mind - it means I see the consultant and get a scan every 2 weeks (oh, as well as now seeing the midwife every time I go for this CTG). Lots of "baby" time!!

Looks like everyone is doing really well - as you say it's unbelieveable that we are now at this final stage!

I have no piccies at all of me pregnant   Even more embarassing is that my dp is a photographer!!!
Have a friends wedding this weekend so will try and get some piccies and then post them on photobucket. Just off there now to have a look at everyone's new piccies!

Cheers!

Bella, I was going to say that you cheated by not showing your face in your pic, but then I remembered you posted one awhile back and I went back and found it. :) Your tummy looks great! It's amazing seeing the difference from your 20 wk to your 28 wk pic.

Cla, you should have your "professional pics" posted soon if DP is a photographer. No excuses! :)

Tracii, sounds like you had an exciting weekend! Fun, but tiring too.

Sounds like most of us 3rd T'rs are on the every 2-3 week doctor or m/w schedule now.

30 weeks today! Wow! I just spent 3 hours last night painting letters for the baby's names to hang each name above their crib (white with blue polka dots). Which means we settled on names. Tyler & Brady. Not sure of middle names yet.

Then tonight I just spent 4 hours putting the whole nursery together. I hung all the decorations, put the bedding on both cribs, hung the mobile, even put diapers in the diaper stacker & a trash bag in the diaper pail thing. Gee, you'd think I was bringing home babies tomorrow!

I cried twice...once when I hung the letters for the first name. And secondly when the room was all done and I just looked around at it.

I am just reminded again tonight at how blessed and lucky we are. We've had such a long journey and we're almost to the "reward" at the end of our journey. Which of course begins the new life long journey of motherhood!

Anyway, sentimental mushy post from me!!!

Hi all,

did anyone else have trouble accessing the BB on Fri, it just wouldnt let me in, it was so weird not being able to catch up with everyone.

Kristi - it is amazing that you/were are 30 weeks, i cannot believe it, your post was so sweet. we have just started putting the nursery together, so hopefully most things will be sorted in a few days. Yours sounds lovely, i wouldnt of even thought of putting names up, but that sounds good idea.

Smita - how are things, is motherhood still all you imagined and more? it still seems unreal that i may get to experience that.

Cla - glad all is looking good with your scans and you get to see you baby lots, thats the best bit. Not long now until you finish (lucky thing).

Tracii - glad you had a good time away and enjoyed all that walking  , i am kna*****d even walking around the shops for 20 minutes, normally have to sit down for a while, so you are doing fab. it is amazing though how much we do slow down.

Mel - how are you doing?

ahart - can you not ring and ask for the results, with my clinic they were back the next day, its weird that your take so long. hoping they come back fine for you.

I have gave my date for finishing as the 30th October, wanted to TRY and work as long as possible, but M/W has said it depends on how the b.p is playing up, will soon see, i am back in work tommorrow after being off for the summer holidays. My repeat glucose test is tommorrow and then growth scan on wed, so i should get the reslts then.

Hope everyone else is hunky dorey

love

Hi All -

Kristi - you're email could not have come at a more perfect time. I have been feeling really down lately. So many things to blame it on... the hemorrhoids  , the sleepless nights  , a bladder the size of a thimble  , the stretchmarks and weight gain, the pre-term labor which keeps me from doing anything fun (like decorating the nursery). So, yes, I've been having a pitty party for myself!

Your post has snapped me back to reality that I have lost focus on what is amazing and wonderful about all of this. Soon we will have our babies to hold in our arms and not just in our hearts and dreams! Any pain, discomfort, incovenience, etc is just so unimportant compared with what the end result will be! :D

I'm so glad to see so many 2T girls coming over to 3T. Now that we are in September, I see that all of us October girls are the next in line on the due date list   (Must not have been anyone cycling over the holidays as us October girls cycled in Jan/Feb).

Had a scan on Friday because the doc wanted to make sure all was well. With the pre-term labor and a diagnosis of anemia she thought it was best to take a peek. OH DARN (hahaha). The babe looked amazing, measuring right on target with an estimated weight of 4lbs 12ounces. Although, she did say the head is measuring slightly big (ouch!) Can hardly wait!

It is so fun to read about all that you ladies are up to and how things are going. Continued wishes for continued blessings!!!

Hello Ladies,

It's been quite on here recently, hope everyone is just too busy getting things ready or else putting their feet up.

Todays the day i hit the 30 weeks mark, it feels so good to think i have completed 3/4 of the journey, just the last furlong to go!!!!

Julie - i agree with you that all the discomfort etc. etc will be so forgotten very soon. I was so hoping i would be one of those people to be happy about everything experienced in pregnancy, i can honestly say i never imagined how hard it was and how many ailments you pick up, but like you i am just happy to be able to experience all this and to be able to give 'bubble' a home for a few short months.

Happy monday everyone

love

Sue - it is hot in Vienna too! I was hoping for cooler air. In Munich it is much cooler and has a nice crispy fall feeling but we are back in Vienna and it is still summer

I can'"t believe our little ones will be arriving soon. We have one of our last big nights out this Saturday (opera). I still remember buying the tickets about 5 months ago thinking how far off the beginning of Sept is. I still feel totally unprepared! I think maybe because we don't have a nursery I won"t ever feel really prepared. hohum. Isabella's activity has slowed down a bit...I get a little nervous but then she gives me a nudge to tell me everything is ok.

I actually went hiking on Saturday! About 2.5 hours in the Alps. The weather was gorgeous and the fresh air was amazing. I will post the pictures. Breathing lessons are going pretty good...I guess the real test will be during delivery. One thing she keeps reminding me is when it is time to really push is to keep on pushing - don"t give up. Anyone else going the vaginal birthing route?

Julie, glad my post helped you out of your pity party (as you called it). Honestly, it helped me out of mine too. I was in a lot of pain the week prior and just so uncomfortable (probably not as much as you are going through though). So doing the baby room gave me a real big lift. And even settling on names for them has helped me because I can call them by names now (thus making it feel even more real).

Tracii, glad to see you over on the 3rd T thread now too.

Glad to hear everyone else is doing well. Some of you will give birth NEXT MONTH! How exciting is that?

Hi all!

Firstly - Tracii - you're mental!!! I can't believe you have the energy to hike in those mountains!!! The most I do is walk home from work - about 2 miles which now takes me forever!!!! The photos are fab - bless the dogs - so sweet!

Kristi - Again you're sounding very energetic!!! Love the sound of the nursery. It's great to spend time on this board with others who appreciate just how special this is. I have a "friend" who is also pregnant - due about 4 weeks after me - and she has done nothing but moan the whole time. She's not worked a full day since she found out - won't cook or do any light cleaning even. I haven't once heard a good word about the pregnancy from her. In fact I have avoided her as much as possible as it bugs the life out of me. I put it down to the fact that she's never had to "try".

Sue - how did the glucose test go? At your growth scan how do they do the measurements? I have a growth chart which has 2 lines. The baby growth should be between the lines but mine's below the bottom line at the moment, hence the scans/CTG monitoring etc. I don't know actual measurements though - just that at last scan (last Tue) it was 3lb 12oz which I didn't think was particularly small (????!)

Julie - Despite what I just said about my "friend" I don't know we can be Mary Poppins all the time! I have to say the piles get me down when they flare up. Puts me in a really bad mood as I'm in so much pain!!! A warm bath is the only thing that helps (plus teh cream from the doctor of course!!).

Hi to everyone else (sorry that was as far back as I could scroll so only did personals to those I could read!!)

Went for another CTG yesterday. Heartbeat fine but the little so and so decided to sleep all the way through and they don't like it when there's no movements!! Anyway was hooked up for about 1.5 hours in the end and got a few nudges! Needless so say when I got home s/he turned a few somersaults!!!! Typical! Am back for the next monitoring on Thursday.

Wow - just realised this is such a long post so will sign off and let someone else have a turn!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone :)

I just wanted to say 'here here' to all of the posts about how much we all appreciate the long road we've taken to get here! I feel really blessed because I've had very few problems or discomfort - just a few things here and there. But I have to say - I've looked at other regular pregnancy discussion boards (ie not those who've struggled with infertility) and I didn't even sign up for them. Those girls seem so focused on the negative side of pregnancy I really could not stomach it. That's why this site feels so much like home and I wouldn't trade our optimism and support for anything! You're all great and I love hearing your stories.

Hi,

cla - nice to hear from you, its always the way isnt it, when they want the baby to move they never do. will you be going every coule of days now,or is it just so soon because the babe wouldnt move much? I should get my glucose results tomorrow, so fingers crossed. At the growth scan they look at all kinds, like the amount of fluid left surrounding the baby, supposedly by that they can tell if the baby is happy. they also look at beats of heart and measure around the babies head, all quite detailed but never said what weight it was aprox, will ask tomorrow. the whole thing was about 20-30 minutes. by their size it fitted in with the dates they gave me at 1st scan. i think the 3lb 12 sounds fine.

gregmbarry - nice to see all is progressing with you, not long now

take care all

love

Hi All -

Tracii - Nice job on the hiking! and great pictures too! What a BEAUTIFUL place! Since you brought it up, I am hoping to go with the V birth and not C (I've had too many surgeries in life and would like to avoide another if possible). Either way, I admit that I'm getting a little nervous. I am trying not to have to strict plan in my head for how I want things to go during the birth. I know things can change in a second and as long as the babe comes out happy and healthy, then I really don't care how it gets there. We start our breathing classes this week.

Sue - Keeping my fingers crossed for you on the glucose test.

Cla - Your babe sounds just fine at 3lb12oz. In fact, now mine sounds gigantic at 4lbs12oz (this was last Thursday). But, 9 lb babes run in my family (my sister had 3 of them and mom 1) so I'm mentally trying to prepare for what it is going to take to pop that kid out.

Kristi - love the names you've picked out. We like the name Mesa if it is a girl but can't decide on a boy's name. So far the only one that has stayed on both of our lists is the name "Blue" which is really strange, and not even a "real" name... but that's what we've been calling the babe for months now and so it has sorta stuck. Ok, everyone, so is that just too weird of a name?

Wow, let the countdown begin for all of us. How exciting! 2 more weeks and I will be at 36 weeks and off bedrest (yippee!). I can actually say I am looking forward to being able to wash windows, scrub floors, and all that other nesting stuff.

Best to you, your DHs and, and babes.
