Just had to let you all know:

Amelia has cut two teeth - wow!!! She was so brave and didn't make a sound about it all. Obviously DH and I are celebrating like mad - any excuse to crack open a bottle of bubbly.

Apparently 19 weeks is quite early!!

Her Christening was last weekend and the sun shone and the day went well - I really can't believe how happy and lucky I am!!!

Hope you are all ok and things are bonny and bright for you all.

Hi girls,
It's been a while since i was last on, there's just not enough hours in the day anymore.
Kady is now 9 1/2 weeks old and is such a big girl, i haven't taken her to be weighed in a fornight but last time (1 day before she turned 7 weeks) she was 11lb 6oz. The health visitors commented on how big she was for a breast fed baby and also on how alert and smiley she was.
She had her 1st lot of immunisations yesterday and it almost broke my heart when she screamed when the needle went in, as soon as the needle came out she was smiling again.
I've got a right wee telly addict on my hands already, where ever she is in the room she always turns her head so she can see it, at the moment she is sitting in her playnest watching Big Brother and smiling away.
Last night when Michael got home from work he was sitting playing with her, he started making Donald Duck noises and she let out this loud chuckle, this was her 1st proper laugh, he was so chuffed and i had tears in my eyes just watching the 2 of them.

There seems to be quite a few early teethers here (big congrats to Amelia getting 2 already), Kady is another one to add to the list. It started about a week ago, constantly drooling and chewing on her fist, i thought it was too early but the health visitor confirmed it when i asked about it.

Think Kady is bored with Big Brother now, everyone is asleep apart from boring Susie and Imogen, so i'd better go and feed her.
Little P, Cheryl, Smita, Kim, Sher and everyone else (sorry can't remember anymore names, Mummy brain has certainly taken over the pregnancy brain ) hope you and all your little bundles are keeping well.

Its been ages since I posted any news and the weeks fly by at the moment.

So an update on my beautiful Mollie and Stefan. They are now exactly three months old. Mollie is quite dainty and weighs 10lb6 and Stefan is a chunky 11lb12! Most of the time they are Angels. Mollie wants what she wants and when she wants it and Stefan watches her and waits for his turn patiently.

They had their 2nd injections today. It broke my heart hearing them both scream and I was a bit tearful. I finally put them both in their cot at 9.30, usually they go to bed at 7.30, Stefan just cried and cried this evening, he eventually fell asleep on my lap. Last time they were grumpy for 2 days afterwards. I think it is worse this time as Stefan is showing all the signs of his first teeth.
Mollie is my little couch potato and watches TV when ever she is gets chance. However, as soon as I put one of their DVDs on they fall asleep! They would much rather watch Sky One!

Hi everyone!
Sorry but there are far too many here to do personals now, I just cant keep up but I do love reading about how everyones babies are coming along.
Ryan has now turned into a monster. Hes changed from an angel! He has 2 teeth and now he can sit up he thinks he can do everything! He has learnt to crawl backwards so he can get anywhere in the room albeit the long way round. I have to keep Abbys toys off the floor as when he reaches them they go straight in his mouth and as she loves Polly Pocket it has got quite dangerous!
He also wakes twice in the night usually at 1am and 5am, I'm so glad I'm not at work yet as I'm so sleep deprived at the mo as I cant catch up on sleep during the day coz its school holidays and when Ryan sleeps I have to devote my time to Abby.
I still love being a mum of 2 but I cant wait for this phase to pass as he's such hardwork as you have to watch him all the time. I just dont understand why babies can crawl before they understand the word 'no' It would make life so much easier. He also weighs over 24LB so I cant carry him for long as I'm only 5'4 and still have a bad back from being pregnant. Hes such a strong determined little man if you dont give him what he wants straight away he will scream for it. We were going to have a FET in Jan but if this phase lasts much longer I may just change my mind on that one!

Hi Ladies

It will be a little while until I will be able to post as we are going to our summer house on Friday. This will be Meagan's 2nd time there where she will hopefully enjoy the lake this time as it should be warmer since we've had record high temperatures lately. She now has 3 teeth, the bottom two in the middle and one of the four across the top on the left side. She has 2 more of the upper four on the right side trying to come in. She has been wonderful and minimally fussy. She just does a lot of chewing on my fingers and teethers which seem to help just fine. She will be 8 months old next week and is such a wonderful girl. She's saying mama a lot more now. She's sitting up pretty well on her own and rolls a lot. She is very close to crawling we think as she is quite active on her tummy. I'm amazed at how fast time is going by. Her dad and I are talking about trying for #2 next year and will probably go the IVF route again.

HI everyone.
I am not sure if I have ever posted on the parents thread. Sometimes it still doesn't feel real.
Joey is doing great. He doesn't sleep through the night yet, and he isn't a big fan of naps, he's always too busy must think he'll miss something important. He went on his first plane trip 2weeks ago he did wonderfully it was a nice short plane ride.He is teething like crazy pretty fussy from it the poor dear.

Hi everyone

Wow, a lot to catch up on! My laptop broke and we had to get a replacement, so Ive been without a computer for the last month.

Its great to hear how everyone is doing. Like Susie says, there are quite a few of us now, to be able to keep up doing personals!

Jenna is becoming a proper little girl now. I seem to notice something new about her all the time. She has no teeth yet, but seen as though I am still feeding her, Im not complaining!

She was christened last month, which was a lovely day. She was also the centre of attention at my brother's wedding, although I actually missed the ceremony because she wanted a feed! We felt so proud been able to show her off.

How is everyone doing with weaning? I have been weaning Jenna for nearly 3 weeks now and she just doesnt seem that bothered about food! She is still very active and appears to be growing and putting weight on well, but still much prefers her milk.

Gosh - it is so great to hear from everyone and find out how all the little ones are doing.

Amelia is showing signs of the next two teeth coming through (the top ones) which is great!! She is such a star, nearly sitting up on her own at 20 weeks!!!

She was Christened 2 weeks ago and it was a gorgeously hot, sunny day and everything was just perfect. We had loads of kids here for the day and the bouncy castle worked a treat.

I hope that you are all having a wonderful time - we are edging towards the next challenge - weaning!!! Any helpful hints ladies????

Hi everyone - lovely to catch up on everyones news. I'm amazed how similar our little ones appear - Emily also has two teeth and is sitting up unaided for short stretches (10 mins or so),. Do you think there's something about IVF that produces babies who will be strong? I guess the treatment itself creates a situation where you end up with very strong embryos so maybe thats why so many IVFers seem quite advanced for their age. I'm just starting to read up about weaning ready for September - the little contented baby book of weaning seems really useful and the Annabel Karmel one - has anyone tried these? Any tips? Emily just had her third immunisation jab today and ended up fast asleep in bed by 6pm so I expect I'm in for an early morning tomorrow! I'm glad thats done though and I can relax a bit now until the MMR which I'm still very undecided about. I've had a few texts from Jacs who is doiing really well - she said she hadn't had time to come on here but maybe she has by now - if she hasn't she sends her best wishes. Hope we hear from Olivia soon - it would be nice to catch up although I completely understand how hard it is to get on. How is Smita, haven't heard from her for a while? Has anyone heard an update from Jessica Amato? I think about her a lot and hope she is blooming - don't know when she is due but I hope all is goiing great for her and she gets the happy ending she deserves.

Anyway I'm goiing to go and have a delicious bath while I get chance and I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep

Hi everyone

Little P - Only tips I can say with weaning is go at your baby's pace and not get too hung up about what she should and shouldnt be doing, like I did! Jenna just wasnt really interested at first, even though she was 26 weeks when I started. I now dont worry if she eats every meal or not. What Ive found with Jenna is that she doesnt seem as keen on fruit, but prefers her vegetables!! It is getting to be fun now that shes getting more interested. She still has no teeth, so maybe Amelia will find it easier if she has teeth already?

Cheryl - Ive got an Annabel Karmel book - superfoods, which is good. Ive used it to start the weaning process and also for working out how many meals a day etc. I also use her recipes. I do use jars as well sometimes, which she seems to like.
Jessica posts quite a bit on the 2nd trimester thread. Shes having a little boy, due in December and appears to be doing fine from what Ive read.

Has anyone since having their babies, had a change of plan about going back to work?? Although my job was only part time, it doesnt fit in with part time hours at a nursery and with a childminder. I also cant bear the thought of leaving her and dont want to miss out on anything. (It doesnt make it any easier that she wont happily take milk from a cup yet, it always has to be from me!). I would be due back at work in January, but I think we have decided that I wont go back. I have started doing Avon, but I think I will have to do something next year, such as working on an evening, otherwise we will struggle a bit. It helps that my job isnt my career, but since Ive always worked, its quite scary the thought of giving it up!

A long overdue hello to all the 2006 mummys!!

I haven't posted for so long but I have been reading messages from time to time and have found everyones advice helpful.

Joe is now 4 months and remains quite a big boy (he was 12lb born) but is now a normal size for his age. He is my pride and joy and I just can't imagine our lives without him. He is a good boy and has slept through the night since 8 weeks, although in the day he can be quite a little terror.

As for me, I had a bit of a rough ride after he was born, I had a secondary post partum heamorrage at home and ended up back in hospital for another week. But I am fine now and absolutely loving being a mum.

Cheryl - we are moving back to warwickshire in the next few weeks as we can't settle in melton. We have bought a house in Pailton which is only a few miles from rugby so perhaps we could meet up.

Hi girls,
It's been great to read up on how everyone is doing but it seems to be pretty quiet here now.
We are both doing great, Kady will be 14 weeks old tomorrow, it still feels like it was only yesterday that i was in the hospital having her. The time is just flying in.
She's still teething like mad but no sign of any coming through yet, she drools so much her clothes are always soaking. She's now started to get a touch of nappy rash (which i've read can be a sign of teething, so maybe her first tooth isn't too far away). She bit quite hard on my nipple last week and that was sore enough so not looking forward to when there is teeth in her mouth.
She had her 2nd lot of injections last week, she let out just a little cry when the needles went in but otherwise she was great, didn't fuss much at all. The HV said that possibly in November they are thinking about introducing pnuemonia injections but will let us know closer to the time, anyone else been told about this?

Kady is now rolling over on her side, can't quite make it all the way over on to her tummy yet but the way she's progressing it shouldn't be too much longer. When you sit her on your lap or on the floor she can manage to hold herself up unaided for a good 30 seconds or so before toppling over, so i think Cheryl could be right about how strong and advanced IVF babies are (Kady was holding her own head up the day after she was born and been sleeping right through the night since about 6 weeks old) or maybe we are all just biased, lol.

After having Kady i bled for just over 5 weeks, then a few weeks later was really disappointed when AF showed up (was really hoping they would stay away as i was breastfeeding) i bled for a week, had a week of no bleeding then bled for another week, a week later i had another week long bleed, i'm on my week off at the moment going by the way it's been lately. Did this happen to anyone else, is it normal or do you think i should get checked out? Thanks in advance for any help.

I should really be getting on with the housework while Kady is napping but i just can't be bothered today, so i think i'll go make a cuppa instead, lol.

Where is everyone!?! I hope your all busy cuddling your little bundles.
I go back to work tomorrow but luckily only 3 days a week from 8.30 til 2.30 so in a way i'm looking forward to having some grown up time.
Ryan can crawl really well now. Today it was really cute as we were all sat on the floor in different corners of the lounge and Ryan looked at us all then crawled to Abby and sat on her lap. My and Dh heart melted as it was as if he was trying to say how he loved Abby and wanted to sit with her.
Only down side to his crawling is his fascination with the DVD player, but luckily i think hes slowly learning the word no.
Hes on mashed food now too so luckily no more pureeing and he no longer seems like a baby hes more of a little boy. I'm going to take him to toddler group on Friday with my friend whos baby is 2 weeks older so I'll see how he gets on with lots of toys and babies.
Anyway hope your all OK and love being Mummys

Michelle - Jenna has 2 bottom teeth now and also likes biting sometimes at the end of a feed

Susie - Jenna is now crawling as well. She hasnt discovered the DVD/Video yet, but shoes/remote controls/magazines are more fascinating than her toys!

I cant believe how time has flown! Jenna is 8 months old today. We are both suffering with colds at the moment, but she is coping really well with it. Its only the 2nd cold shes had, so shes doing well so far!

Ah bless - 8 months already Kim, it only seems like yesterday when I was coming on looking for your arrival news! I wish we could just slow down time a little, I want to cherish every second but I keep forgetting things even though I'm keeping a diary.
Hello to everyone - sorry I'm not on much its just so hard because when Emily's asleep I have to work on essays and workshop plans (I'm just starting to do a little work back at the university again) and when she's awake she's just too wriggly now for me to sit and type with her. I do think of you all and if I have spells not on here much, I haven't deserted the place and i'm still so very grateful for the support I've received on here but sometimes its impossible to get on for days.

Anyway I'm sending my love to you all and hope you are all enjoying these mad days!
