Becky: I know you are feeling down and frustrated and I wish I could say somthing to soothe you. I can tell you that I have been pregnant before and I am not just saying this...but it felt JUST LIKE AF!!! EXACTLY. I would go to the bathroom and expect the flow to start right then when I relaxed my muscles. I would wipe SURE I would see blood. I cramped, I bloated, I was hormonal, my boobs were sore etc...Please don't dispair. You really don't know til you test.

...I am STILL waiting to hear. How cruel!!! I am supposed to leave my house in one hour to go for ET but I don't even know if I have any eggs left to transfer! Wish they would call.

Oh Zirly, I do hope everything will be ok for you - just can not imagine how you must be feeling right now.... I'm hoping as I write this you are in the middle of your ET with your little embies being put back, where you can nuture them to a BFP...

Becky - easy to say as yet to be on the 2ww but reading other posts I'm sure you will be ok and I'm thinking of you and sending you some of my PMA and big hugs. You know that we are all here for you (((((((hugs)))))))

By the way - how was your lamb last night. I eventually went for someone's suggestion of shepherds pie, which I made last night and it was so scrummy.....

Aunty - how have you got on today - I hope that all went well and you'll soon to be on the road to BFP

Angela - criky - how many!! You must have waddled into that clinic with all those eggs...not susprised you felt bloated!
Can I ask out of interested how many follies you had?

Actually just a general question and sorry if its a dumb one (and perhaps I should know being female and all that..) but how many eggs do you get from a follie? Is a 1 to 1 ratio? Sorry if its thick question!!

Rose - welcome - as Becky said - you've come to the right place for fantastic support and advice.

Souris - sorry to hear of your problems, please bear with it, it will be worth it in the end when you have a wee one. Sometimes my DH can be a little cold but have realised that it is normally stress of thinking what he needs to do and how critical his part is in all of this.

JackieG/Mia - GOOD LUCK tomorrow with your testing....praying hard for you both for BFP.

Jeck - I went to the chiropidist the other week to get my feet done and she also did reflexology. She told me that she wouldn't do any treatment on anyone who had already started IVF as reflexology was about getting your body balanced and ready therefore if she did it after treatment started then it may counter-react the drugs... don't know if this differs to what anyone else has heard??

Well I'm off to see my mum who has been away since my treatment started and when she phoned last night to say she was home I virtually burst into tears! Can't wait to see her......I guess you're never to old to need your mum!!

Having another scan tomorrow so hoping that my 5 little darlings have grown a little more....they would like to see the biggest at 15 - grow follies grow.....

Hi Guys!
Thank you for the welcome notes I cheated yesterday and got a home pregnancy test. It came out negative. Yesterday was 4 or 5 days after retrieval. Does it mean that I will get a negative result on Monday? Has anyone tried the HPT before and got neg results then got positive beta test results? Looking for encouraging stories

OOO Rose...HPT'S are it was way too early for you to test ... at least youknwo the HCG shot was out of your system
i have to say i have seen a lady get a negative on the morning of her test and go on to get a +ive beta two days later she still got -ive on a HPT and she really is pregnant so it shows they are really usless... ignore it i know how tempting they are but they dont work very well for us special conception lady's

Beckie, many many pregnant ladies on this board have had the same symptoms as AF and then got a BFP!! Sending you buckets of PMA!!

KF, it is hard not to get involved isnt it? I cant stand seeing Dh suffer, so I suffer. ANd as well, what her daughter does is affecting everyone... Just hoping it will get better one day! Cant wait to see how your cycle is going in October!

Jackie, thanks for the nice words. To answer your question, there is normally 1 egg per follie. But you can get some follies with no egg
I had like you 5 follies last time, i was worried because i read so many posts here with girls having loads of follies. But my doctor was happy with it, she said that sometimes you get many, but the quality is less...
So good luck with your scan tomorrow, I am also having one and should be the last!!

Hi!!!!!! So sorry to not post...but what happened is the Embryologist finally called and said come right now! We want to transfer! I was in such a rush I had no time to think.

Here is the info...now, before I post this, you all have to understand two things...(cause I don't want anyone to worry about their embys)

1. I had pgd. This is a testing on my ebryos to test for chromosomal abnormalities (which they suspect I have a tendency to have since I miscarry so frequently)

2. My results are scewed and unique because they screwed up so bad with my embies...this will in no way reflect what your eggs are like.

Ok...with that being said.

I had 12 embies fertilize. Of those...7 made it to day four biopsy.

Of those...4 were genetically normal (chromosomally speaking). They tested 12 out of the 23 chromosomes. The other 8 were not normal.

Needless to say, we do not even consider putting the not normal ones back in me.

We had four to work with. Today is day five. Of the four...One was a morula, one was on its way to becoming a blast and one was kinda a slow grower and the last one (my superstar) was a hatching blast! She graded that one as the best for me, but something about the cells inside were not tightly compacted (which she said was not as big of a deal).

We put one in. My superstar. They HIGHLY recommended only one for many reasons. I medically am at HIGH risk for twins to carry to full term. And...I am showing signs of OHSS which can be made worse by twins.

And lastly...and perhpas most cool...the one they put in is a Girl! I know the gender!!! Isn't that amazing?!!!!

So I have one little gril embie attaching (hopefully).

In an honest moment...their tremendous screw up could have hurt this embie, but I am choosing not to think of that. I am hoping she is a survivor and will be just fine.

Zirly, how wonderful, a baby girl! Congrats! I'm sorry you had to go through that ordeal. But, I believe there will be a happy ending to your story. Take it easy now and take care of your precious cargo. Sticky, sticky, sticky baby dust to you!

Well one more day for me! I'm a bundle of emotions. I feel very optimistic, but I keep asking myself how will I handle it if I don't hear those happy words. I have no idea . Anyway, My b/t is in the early morning and they usually call me with results between 2:30 and 4:30. Until then, my fingers and toes are crossed.
