Lisa:

Glad to hear that things are going well with you. I should know on Oct. 5th, if not before, about the sex of my baby. You are about the only one, besides my older sister, who thinks I'm having a girl. I feel he is a boy :D We shall see.

Kat:

It was good to hear from you. I hope you father recovers from his operation. You are not greedy to want a baby. We just want what every other woman takes for granted.....................a baby!!!!

Bev: I hope you are doing well.

Yasmina: Have you found a doctor in TN yet? I go to an OB/GYN this week.

Anna: How are you feeling? Have you told anyone about your pregnancy yet?

Take care all,
Tammy

Hi Ladies, happy Monday! Hope everyone Ok today.

Welcome Kim. Fingers crossed for that BFP. When is your test date?

Tammy, good to hear from you. In answer to your question, no, we haven't told anyone yet! It's killing me not telling my sister (as we are very close) but DP and I agreed (after all we've been through) that we would wait until after our 12 week scan before we spilled the beans! I think she suspects something as I haven't been drinking alcohol at all which is very unlike me!!! I also think Annalise is a lovely name!!

Lisa, glad to see you are full of PMA. Here's hoping you can cycle again very soon. Strange you should think I 'm having a boy, my dp thinks the same. xx

Kat, hi , good to hear from you. Hope your dad is Ok and well on the way to recovery. Hugs to you x

Welcome Victoria, the IVF meds affect everyone differently so there really is no way of knowing how you will react. I'm sure you will be able to cope with hot flushes and mood swings!! Wishing you good luck with your tmt.

Yasmina, you sound very busy. Hope you are Ok and the sickness soon subsides! Good luck with next scan.

As for me, I started back at work today, yuk, after 6 weeks holiday it is a bit of a shock to the system! Still no symptoms yet which is kind of worrying me a little. I really can't wait for the 12 week scan to put my mind at rest...only 3 weeks to go. Any thoughts, oh wise and wonderful women?

Hello to Bev, hope all is Ok with you!

Hi to all here.
Bye for now

Hi AMck,

Thanks for asking it, shd be 12th Sept, praying for a BFP.

I would like to know :D can the embryos fall out? Anyone been on progesterone, medrol and klexane to support the pregnancy? As my biggest problem is staying pregnant, it was the last year that getting preg was also a problem hence the IVF.

Good luck ladies.

Kim:

Welcome to our site!! Our fingers are crossed for a BFP for you. I was on progesterone shots until week 11 or 12. Thank goodness I'm done with those.

Anna:

I bet it is killing you to keep your pregnancy a secret. I could not wait to tell family and close friends. I would have a scan every 2 weeks and on the off week, I would give myself a HPT. I would save the old ones and compare the darkness of the plus signs. That way I was sure that I was still pregnant. I know that sounds very odd, but I had some extra HPT's and thought it could not hurt. I thought that you would love our name (Annalise) too . I still feel like my baby is going to be a boy.

Take care all,
Tammy

Teacher Tam -

Thanks. I'm so plsd for you and your bump. What a fab surprise? Is this your first baby? Better start thinking of some boys names too

I'm trying hard not to get too excited before the test but you know how it is you can't help letting your imagination run away with you.

And you have passed the dreaded 12w mark so hopefully plain sailing from here. You may actually be able to relax and enjoy it

Good luck to us all.

Kim,

Yes, this is my first baby!! We are thrilled! DH has a 13 year old son from his 1st marriage, but this is our first child together. We do have some boy names picked out. However, we have not settled on one yet. It would be nice to have a boy, since we are also in the process of adopting a baby girl from China. We found out were pregnant right after we sent our adoption paperwork to China.

I'm hoping that passing the 12 week mark is a good sign. I am feeling a lot better now. I was soooooooooooo tired during the 1st trimester, but now I have a little more energy.

Good luck on your upcoming pregnancy test.

Take care all,
Tammy

Hello all,

some of you remember me? I think I was one of the first of this item (40+) to get pregnant and to have a baby.

well my time is up! I am done! my frozen embryos all are transferred but non of them wanted to stay...

I have a beautiful beautiful son and I feel very lucky!

I do have some pregancytests left and I would like to give them to you (if you are a tester like me, I always tested a few days before I was allowed to test...) so send me a private message and I will send you my tests...

that it may be positives ones!

regards,

Alette

Alette- Thanks very much for the offer. I'm almost at your stage myself.

I'm on 2ww with one week left have bleeding  Bleeding always terrifies me. Trying to stay + as I'm on Klexane which may mean this is just excessive implantation bleeding. Lord who knows?

My test will be 14th Sep not 12th as previously mentioned.

Want to cry

Kim, just wanted to send you some PMA. Hang in there. Bleeding could be for a whole different number of reasons. Is it brown/pink/red? Sorry if too personal. Thinking of you , hugs xx

Hi to all other ladies. It's very quiet here isn't it? Hope everyone Ok.

I'm fine. Feel great and going back to work isn't too bad. Funny though I have had to make appointments and book meetings for next year and hopefully(fingers crossed) I won't be there! Oh what a tangled web we weave :D

Take care all

Hi Anna,

Thanks for the interest. You sound like a wise and wonderful woman :)
I'm a little desperate for some advice right now.
Bright red blood like a period. I'm calling my Dr today. I have some thoughts on it. One that it may be excessive implantation bleeding caused and made worse by Blood thinner Dr has me on. Or it's an early miscarriage. Or, of course, things could be ok and I'm just freaking out. But after 8 m/c......

Good luck ladies.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted for a while, been suffering with headaches a bit, but my consultant doesn't seem too worried. Am having extra bloods done and a renal scan as my blood pressure is a bit elevated also. I wish I felt a bit better generally, but feel very lethargic and "heavy". Thought I felt the baby move a bit the other day, but then the last 2 - 3 days nothing. Don't know if it is my imagination!!!! Even after a BFP the worry doesn't stop.

Anyway, enough about me, let's see if I can catch up, been away too long.

Hi Kookstermoma, hope this bleeding doesn't mean problems for you, I will be keeping my fingers crossed that it settles down. Are you able to rest plenty.

Anna, I am so pleased for you that you are feeling great. What is it now, 10 weeks? Can't wait for you to get to your 12 weeks and then you will be able to shout it from the roof tops. I bet everyone will be surprised that you were able to keep it under wraps for so long. Your sister will be delighted, I can just imagine her jumping up and down and squeeling with excitement for you.

Alette, sorry that your FET was unsuccessful but as you say you are blessed with a beautiful son. What a kind gesture to offer your pee tests. I too was a tester, testing at 10 days post transfer - I was amazed that I managed to hold out till then. Gladly, my result was positive, I am now 16 weeks pg. It is nice to speak to one of the original "Over 40's" - you all have been a tremendous help to so many of us over the last couple of years. So for that I thank you.

Hey Tammy, glad that you have got some of your energy back. I feel a tiny bit better, as the queeziness has subsided, but I don't feel like I am bursting with llife and vitality. Have started swimming at the gym this week, so maybe that will help. By the way, Annalise is a lovely name. I do hope you get your little girl, if that is what you would prefer, but I know that no matter what flavour he/she is, you will love them just the same.

Hi Kat, hope that your dad is improving. It is always a huge worry when someone you love is unwell. Please don't think that you were greedy wanting a baby as well as "all the good things". There are plenty of people out there who manage to "have it all" and more!! I wish I could have some influence on things for you, but all I can do is send my best wishes and hugs to you.

Hi Victoria, and welcome to this thread. Hope you are getting on okay with your meds, and wishing you loads of luck for a successful treatment.

Better dash everyone, it is now 11.19 am and I am still in my dressing gown!! How lazy is that.

Hi to everyone else that I haven't had time to catch up with.

Alette,

Sorry to hear about the results of your FET.

Kim:

How are you? Has your bleeding stopped? Hopefully everything is ok with you.

Bev:

I have had headaches too. I caught the stomach flu this past Wednesday and was in bed all day. I could only hold down saltines and liquids. It was awful. I woke up at 4:00 am with sharp, stabbing pains. I was scared, but knew it was the flu with the diarrhea came. I'm feeling much better now, except I am still having headaches.

Anna:

When is your 12 week scan? I had to cancel my appt. this past Thursday with my OB/Gyn, since I had the stomach flu.

Kat:

I hope things are looking up for your dad.

Hello to anyone else that I missed.

Take care all,
Tammy

Hi Everyone here,

I just wanted to say hi to you all. Thanks for asking about my news. I have not posted as often as before, but I try to read everyone's post daily.

Nothing much new here except that I have start to see regular OB now and they do not recommend any tests to me anymore since I am so far along with my pregnancy. My OB said it is unnecessary to let a number worry me if I am not going to terminate the pregnancy based on the test results. So, no more tests, only wait for regular monthly visit to ob's office. If anything else turns up, I will make sure everyone here knows.

Bev, I thought you were 17 or 18 weeks now, have you felt the baby's kick?

Anna, are you feeling tired now? After you pass the first trimester, you will feel safe to tell people. I also held for a long time, but eventually, I had to tell my brother when he asked. After that, everyone in the family knew. That was at the end of my first trimester, I believe.

Tammy, I hope your stomach flu is gone by now. I won't be doing any more tests if I were you. I sware your baby is fine! I am sorry if I sounds very non-scientific to you. I hope you elect not to go for amniocentesis, because your number is so low and the likelyhood of having any kind of abnormality is zero, in my opinion!

Kim, please let us know your results at 14th. My fingers are crossed for you.

To the ones who are trying to get pregnant, please do not give up, please stay positive, you will get there, eventually!

Yasmina,

It is good to hear from you. I am not going to do the Amnio! I am going to have an ultrasound to check for neural tube defects, but my ulterior motive is to find out the sex of my baby. We are having the ultrasound at week 18, so they should be able to tell me the sex of my baby.
Have you felt your baby kick yet? I have not. Well, I'd better go for now.
DH is calling me.

Take care all,
