I want to purchase a breathing monitor, but would like to hear peoples opinions on which ones are best. At the moment I am tossing up between the Respisense and Angelcare...
Any experiences and advice would be appreciated - thanks.
I have the Angelcare monitor. Ive used it while Jenna was in her carrycot and now her cotbed. No real problems, except if she rolls right into a corner of her cot occasionally and the alarm goes because it cant pick up on her breathing. I live in a 3 storey house (The nursery at the top) and it still works very well when Im downstairs.
I think it might have been updated since I got it and the new version shows the temperature in the baby's room (I think). This would be very useful.
I havent used any other breathing monitor, so cannot compare it to any other, but Im very happy with it and can reccommend it. I dont know if its the same with all breathing monitors, but the parent unit does have to be plugged in. (Although with backup batteries in it it may work for a short time without-never tried it for long though). Having a breathing monitor compared to a normal monitor has certainly helped me sleep better!
Take care

Hi Libby
We also have Angelcare monitor, it was given to us. We haven't used it much as jake only has his naps in cot in daytime, at night he's still with us. Not had any problems with it so far.
