booty still hurting....

Post by wannababy1229 »

My last progesterone shot was last Thursday after taking them for about 2 weeks. I still feel soreness (especially as I ran down a driveway yesterday). Also, my last night of shots was awful. Every place my DH tried to inject, bled profusely. How long did your booty hurt after taking shots? Do you think something is damaged as a result? What do you think?

I think mine hurt for what seemed like a month... Although there is one spot that I think it is burned into my memory that it was so sore, that sometimes I still think it is, but its not, just all in my head!!!

I don't want to scare you but I have a spot that still feels weird from my first IVF cycle in March.

For my second IVF I insisted on Crinone which is a suppository. My butt just is not meant for injections.

That darn PIO....I had soreness for many weeks, maybe even 2 months after my first IVF, but I also had to do PIO for many weeks after BFP, since I had m/c at week 8 and was doing them every night that whole time.

However, in the morning and when I go running, I can still feel the PIO injection spots from this last session (my last shot from this cycle was on 8/20). It's not really painful, just like a dull bruise that's almost healed, only it never quite goes away completely.

When I mentioned it to the nurse, she said this is pretty common and may last quite a while. Hope yours goes away faster than mine.....

hello Wannababy :)

Well the first 2 IVF i had the shots in my booty and it was sore like what!

However the 3rd time I took another treatment which was Puregon and I took the shots in my tummy...and I did them myself...It was scary and weird the first time but then I got used to it!

I am sure the "soreness" will soon go away!
