Halloo.
Carolyn thank you! How are you feeling? I'm glad Trewbert did a top job but can't believe you're still in pain! You poor thing, I hope you are getting lots of special sick persons attention....
When can you start trying naturally? Or is that plan already underway

Margaret - glad The Lav was good advice guy. Your appointments are pretty soon - we may be cycling together - together we will address the magazine situation in the Family Unit....

Vicki, red wine, is there anything better? Nope is the answer to that. Hope you're doing ok lovely one. stay in touch

so tomorrow its the long goodbye to fallop 1 and fallop 2, the evil retardo twins, bye, see ya, losers. They now have just 14 short hours to beg for a stay of execution - fat chance piglets. Their final meal will be humble pie and I will snort guffaws as they get thrown into the metallic surgical basin before they are flushed down the sluice - Thorpe park it aint, twiggos. Anyhoo, hoorah for a fallopless tomorrow!

Take it easy hammers

Love, Lola

Lola

Just dropped in to say that I thinking of you today and hoping that Lavermaster is on top form. Sending positive vibes from West Hampstead over to the Sainsbury wing at Hammersmith. 8)

Goodbye and farewell to both of the Lola tubes

As for me. Still can't bend over, drive or pick up anything. He told me I would be normal (!!!!????) in 6 weeks. I am 4 weeks + 3 days. Think that the pain relates to the amount that he had to take out and then all the knitting back together :!: :?: I am in 1st attempt au natural although my acu guy told me that I was insane and that my cycle would be all over the place. Trew told me that I could start straight away if I could take the pain!!! No pain, no gain - right!

Hope all the other Hammers are bearing up.

Thats right trooper C!! No pain no gain!! Good luck my lovely.

Well the Lav did the deed and I am minus tubes. Is my third laproscopic surgery on dem damn fallops so my belly button to quote the dude "is not his best cosmetic result". No short tops for Lola. Which frankly I'm too old for anyway. Also, question: Am I too old for those footless tights everyone is wearing? I am, aren't I? Sigh.

So I hope you are now (week 5?) starting to feel a bit better??? I'm happy you can try au naturel but also disappointed you won't be joining me and Margaret in the floral lounge of hope this autumn... what a trio we would be!

Hope you other hammers are bueno

Hi All

Lola - you have a wicked sense of humour I love it. Hope you OK and goodbye to those naughty tubes of yours. As for footless tights depends what you wearing, I have a just under the knee length dress I wear mine with, so come join my in the footless tight gang.

Carolyn - Sorry to hear you still in pain I admire your courage for trying natural so soon, you go girl and good luck..

As for me more bad news I afraid had review with Trewster on Fri gone, he thinks my ovaries are on the way out and there is nothing he can do. He feel no point in doing tests as an IVF cycle is the biggest indicator of fertility and since my egg number is low it shows how fertile I am (or not in my case). Let me tell you this was a big shock for me I only 34 and got lucky first time in 2003. He sending me for HSG as not had one since 2003 and thinks we should have another go using 300 puregon which is the highest daily dose he likes to give when on Antagonist protocol, if this fails and my egg numbers don’t go up to at least 10 then donor eggs is my only option, How can this be! I not sure at moment still in shock, but I think I will have one more go maybe in November now as time not on my side.

Take care all

Vicki - No wonder that you are in such a shock. The good news is that you can have another go for it with your own eggs. Are you having acupuncture? Have read that can lower FSH levels/increase eggs if done in conjunction (before & during) with a cycle. It might be worth a go. I am seeing someone on Harley Street who specialises in infertility. Happy to recommend if you want just let me know and I can PM you. Thinking of you. Must be very tough to get your head around this.

Lola - at 4-0 think that I am past footless tight - how ever that gives you a 3 year window so may be you should wear them whilst you still can!!!

Glad that the surgery is all done & the tubes are a think of the past. Saw your other post. Have no idea how long you have to wait to cycle. How are you feeling?

How come your tubes get done via belly button and mine required the full 7" open up the whole tummy!!!!??? No short tops or hipsters for me for sure. Whilst you cannot see my scar, you would certainly see my tummy sagging over the top! Was not my best feature before and as for now....................it should be hidden at all costs.

Sorry that I shall not be joining you all at sofa city in November. I could be outside with pom-poms to cheer you all on. :o

I have no clue what is going on with me. :? I feel much better in terms of recovery - finally - although still get pretty tired. Drove on Friday - very short distance - and could really feel it on Saturday. Tummy has had some pain which could still be post op, could be AF arriving or could be cramping................

I am normally a 32day girl which would mean that AF arrives on Friday when I am in the midst of the Milton Keynes Bowl seeing Robbie!!! Which must be odd on favorite to happen to me. Longest cycle 34 days which sees me lasting til Sunday which is what I have put in my ticker to postpone the agony. Cannot really believe that it could happen to me without any drugs, injections or random people prodding me...........feels a bit surreal really. Like it is just in my head.

Well I'll keep you posted on Robbie Williams and my AF head-on collision which is all set for Friday in the Milton Keynes Bowl!!!

Take care all. Special hugs for you Vicki.

Hello ladies

Carolyn how are you feeling and what happenend at the grudge match AF v Robbie??? Or are you....y'know, the P word??? Tell us! Tell us! Hope you're a bit more post op perky lovely.

Vicki - man! that must have been such a shock. I saw your other thread about 2nd opinion. I would talk the whole thing through with Trewster again and if you're not comfortable with his answers or he can't explain his logic to you then I would def get another view from another specialist. You'd always feel strange about it otherwise. Well, I would anyway. I hope that everything works next time for you - if you go nov we'll be cycling same time!! One more for the floral heaven couch!!! We'll be the Positivity Triad of Fertility!!!

well, my af has started and just waiting for tues appointment with El Lavadora to think about next cycle. SCARED!!!!
Meanwhile down in scar alley..... the nurse couldn't get my stitches out because they were too tight. So I thought I would have a go, y'know, DIY. Couldn't. So dh had the fantastic idea of trying to actually undo the knots. Picture the scene, me holding desk lamp over my tummy while dh has magnifying glass, tweezers and a pin... of course, it did not end well. In frustration, we tried to cut stitch with nail clippers.... Result:stitches still in situ. I cannot wait to see lavs face when he surveys the Vietnam that is my belly button. Not pretty.
Anyway, shhh, I'm not going to tell him what I did. Blame it on the district nurse and then act innocent.

Ok my girls, keep me posted!

Oh Lola

Was looking on page 2 for this thread  Then saw that it was right at the top of the leader board thanks to you.

Could not believe your stiches in tummy button story - DIY - crickey. My dh would have disappeared under the bed or passed out or both. Mine were pretty bad when then came out of there after the lap so dread to think what yours must be like. Took 2 nurses - 1 on either side. Trewster steered well clear. Made the stitches out after tubal surgery a breeze as they were all on one thread that she just snipped and pulled. I knew there had to be some benefit!!

So appointment on Tuesday. Well scarey. Although must confess that at least if I was doing a cycle then I'd feel a little more hopeful than this trying without drugs, injections etc etc

So Robbie beat AF hands down in the head on collision at the Milton Keynes Bowl........He was utterly amazing. Probably the best gig that I have ever been to. Fireworks. Huge set. Fab lights. Flames bursting up from the stage. He arrived from under the stage and then appeared for the encore from miles above the stage in a cage that dropped down. So cool. He certainly went to great lengths to avoid me being too down about AF!!!!!!!!!

My dh is so in my good books for getting me the tickets. He bought me the tickets the day after I got BFN 1. I am (trying) to be super nice to him despite time of the month which is hard but necessary!!! My two sisters, my sister-in-law and my friend all love me and dh for getting the tickets and taking them. They all loved it. And on top, we just had such a great day out together. The sun even shone. We left early in the morning and queued. Even that was fun - talking to others. We got pretty close to the front. I never thought that we'd be so close. And he performed a lot on a satellite stage which was right in front of us. Sorry - I could do on and on..... at least it took my mind of AF although trips to the loo proved interesting!!!!

Knackered yesterday but must be much much better. There is no way that I could have managed the full day like that even just 10 days ago. I drove 40 miles each way too. Plus we went at like 9.30am and got home at about 1am on Saturday. No more complaining from me. I must be better now. It is 6 weeks tomorrow post-op and the range he gave me was 4-6 weeks to recover/start driving etc etc Felt very rough at start of week but must have been AF arriving. May be I am having a good clean up!!!!!!!!! Sorry tmi!!!!

So no p word for me. So onwards we travel. Am going to try to do better tracking this month and take my temperature and see if that helps me figure out anything at all. Think that my dh is already preparing himself for 2 weeks time when I will be accosting him for baby dancing more than is reasonable at our advanced years!!

Vickie - I agree with Lola. I'd go back and see Mr Trew again if you are unhappy and then move if you are not satisfied with the answers

Margaret - any news lovely?

So Lola hope that appointment on Tuesday goes well for you. Hope the stitches out does not hurt too dam much. Let us all know how you get on and when you might board the train for the cycle.

Take good care all.

Porn purveyor has been edited!

How is everyone today?
I am in a v good mood as one of my Oct 05 thread partners, Walshy, got lucky on the third time lucky life raft and is now standing on the dry land of Up Duff Valley! Woo hoo!!!

carolyn you so love Robbie! Are you feeling better now?

Well, I saw the lav on Tuesday. Good news is that my uterus is bueno and my tubes are history. Then I got a telling off for going back to work too soon and then he said I couldn't start next ivf until after next af. Boo. Was geared up to start end of this month. Ah well, November it will be, tough gonads.

So..... who's with me???

Hi Girls

Sorry not been around for a couple of weeks needed a break from IVF stuff.

Carolyn – Glad your starting to get back to normal. Sounds like you had a fantastic time at the concert, Robbie is fab never seen him live but would love to especially up close yum yum! Don’t forget if your tracking your cycle to look out for the egg white (gross term I know) but I read that is a great indicator of ovulation.

Lola – Glad your on the mend you naughty girl for going back to work. November is a good month (that’s when I got my BFP). Good luck honey buns!

I will definitely go back to see Trewster. I’m having HSG in October so will go back get results and have another chat. I believe what Trewster is telling me he truly believes is right and he is doing all he can, but what I’m left wondering is what if he is wrong! Would a more tailor made protocol work for me? The only difference on my next cycle at HH is 300 units of puregon Trewster feels its not worth going higher as egg quality will be compromised, but I have read a lot of research in America where for cases like mine they start you on 450 stims for 2 to 3 days then reduce the dose to 300 and change stim drug. This seems to give poor responders like me more eggs and pregnancies. I will put this to Trewster and see what he thinks. I think I need second opinion for piece of mind. I need to know I’ve done all I can. I will choose my second opinion wisely. I had ac last time, and will do so next time but for next cycle I going to do liver detox as per Zita West plus positive visualisations, I’ve also increased my yoga classes, and changed my diet slightly, every little helps!

Take care

Vicki

Really good to hear from you although totally understand the need for time out from ivf. I am coming here way less than I used to - just trying to focus on other things in my life. Sounds like you are taking lots of steps to put you in great shape for a cycle.

Rob was terrific - close up!!

I'll make sure that I keep my eys peeled for the egg white stuff - you are right, it is a horrid term.

I am going to go back to Trewster again too. I cannot be doing with waiting until after Xmas. I will have only managed 1 cycle this year and 41 will be looming large on the horizion.

Had chat with dh to see whether he could face another round of ivf pre-Xmas. He thinks that I have been very tolerant (right!!!!) and does not see why not if I am up for it..........

Ran it past my acu man and he thought that it was better to get on with it whilst I am off work and more chilled out than usual.

So called Joanne in Trewburts office and the earliest I can see him is 31st October so might be worth you booking a slot if you are not booked already or else you might have quite a wait..................

Given my dates, I may just be able to fit in a pre-Xmas cycle even if he puts me on long protocol again. I could be 2ww at Xmas. Great but better than waiting until Jan/Feb to even start again. Just seemed to far away for me.

Lola - will be getting my BFP the month after you hun

Have a great weekend all.

Hey girls.

Vicki good to hear from you. It is good to have a break from all this ivf stuff. Mostly these boards make me feel better but sometimes, just makes me feel sad. Absolutely, getting a second opinion is best, then as you say, you have peace of mind knowing you made the right choices. As for the footless tight issue - the debate continues. Friends say I have petite on my side but I don't want to be one of those 1661 ladies, y'know (16 from the back, 61 from the front, body off Bay Watch face off Crime Watch). Anyway, we'll all be in maternity wear soon enough!!! WooHOOOOOO! Let us know what trewman says and how HSG goes.

Carolyn back to 100% full strength lady of lightness. I think it is a top idea that you try and get another cycle in before Xmas. They do have a xmas shut down at some point but I don't know exactly when. We'll all be cycling together! Well, almost. Bring it on! Everytime I go to the Floral Unit I'll wear a massive name badge..

I have a question, Carolyn I've decided to acu at the same place at you (I'm seeing a lady though - doh). My first appointment is Tuesday - do I have to shave my legs? I have been growing them for extra winter time insulation and I am pretty scary looking, trousers off. Do they put needles in your legs? Will have to go Extreme Razor shopping on monday if so.....

So anyways, I reckon I'll be starting my next FET on 31st October. Seems ages away. Because it is. want to start NOW! Patience patience.
Ok ladies, take it easy and be well

Hey Lola

Just a quicky to advice on protocol for acu. I saw a lady once when Daniel was away - she was very nice and good although obviously did not know me as well as Daniel who I have seen oddles of times. Think that there are 2 ladies there. One is called Christine who I have not seen. Forget the ladies name who I have seen - Jackie???? Blond hair, quite solid build............

Anyway, they do put needles in my wrists, tummy, ankles and knees. Well do for me anyway. You therefore need to de-fur legs urgently & possibly paint toe nails as shoes come off too!!!!

I am not on best of form today - tired, testy, chewed off with the whole business of ivf/suregry/infertility. Massive row with dh over baby dancing last night. Tears - trauma - slept in spare room - awake most of night - so knackered now and already had cold. Sure that this is not how it is meant to be. So much for romantic, love making.............. Ha bloddy ha

Anyway, hope that acu goes well tomorrow for you. Let me know what you think. Will let you know when we have made up............
