Hi!
I'm very new to all this, but I will be starting meds in early October. I started syranel late August, and then Puregon in early september, but I was stopped in mid Sept. because my estrogen was too low, and I wasn't producing enough eggs.
I was soo upset..I really want this to go well (like everyone else). It was an awakening that this may not work...I am glad to find this website, with so many people that understand..
Good luck to all of you.

Hi Tonia,Hang on in there, the calendar will get here, but i totally understand, when you have your protocol in black in white in frony of you,it makes the whole cycle seem real, doesnt it..

Jenn,WELCOME I know what you mean,i was so convinced my first ivf would work and when AF arrived i was heartbroken, thought it wouls work first time and that was it for us,how wrong could i have been, ive had 2 fresh cycles and a FET all neg,but i truly believe my time will come and for the most part i try to stay positive,i wouldnt put me or DP thru all this if i didnt think at some point we will get the result we both so wish for..So chin up, it'll work for you..

Jeck, ive been thinking bout you my friend,i soooo hope your visit is going well and you're coping with things..

Hope everyone else is well and having lots of PMA PMA PMA PMA
Take care..Nicola..xx

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I would write a quick message to everyone so here goes -

Lori - I was reading that you do accupuncture, I was thinking of giving it a go, do you have any advice? :)

BecP - Just wondering if you have finished work yet? I too have given up work to concentrate on this rollercoaster! I am sure I made the right descision! :)

Nance - Im glad you like my username, it is what my husband calles me, I don't know why because I am a good girl really!! I know what you mean about the first injection!! mine took me an hour! :)

Jeck - Wanted to say how great and helpful this thread is, and wanted to say hope you have a nice time at your BIL's! :)

Aunty Pebbles - Wow it feels like I am writing to the queen of these message boards, since I have been reading them you are always there offereing great support and advice, Im glad that I am in this thread with you. Good luck for thursday starting you meds! :)

JenJ - I was really interested to hear that you have adopted, my husband and I have often talked about it and think it is something we would like to do, I just feel I had to go through this channel first to have a baby ourselves and maybe adopt later. Good luck on your cycle! :)

Jenn - Hope your drugs came today, it is weird the things we get excited about, getting needles, waiting for AF, although I am like you and don't have AF on my own! Good luck for starting on thursday! :)

Nictor - Thanks for my welcome, it is nice to have someone who is also from scotland, I think I might be starting around the same time as you but have to confirm on 25th so fingers crossed! :)

Cowgirlclass - Hope things went well today, were you at an appointment or are you starting your drugs? good luck with everything! :)

Cmoscar - Not long now till you are on your way, I hope everything goes well for you! I can't wait till I am at that stage when you are no longer waiting and are actually doing something! :)

Dory - I was just wondering what the BCP'S are used for, I have not heard of them before I came on this site and wondered why they are used for IVF? sorry to be nosey, it's just great to learn! :)

CasyP - I was just wondering where you are in this crazy rollercoaster ride, I might have read it but I am getting so confused with everybody! :)

KF06 - I hope your work out helped your AF along, It must be so frustrating for you but I am sure it will come soon, I don't have AF at all which is sometimes good but also sometimes bad, hang in there and it will come real soon! :)

Jen1d - Just wondering how your move went, it must be hectic moving while you are going through this! Have you moved far? I live in Glasgow and I think I should be starting in early Oct, hopefully the same as you! :)

Jordan22 - That is so unfair they have not sent you your calender, do they not realise they are dealing with highly hormonal women!! LOL! I dont get a calender, I just get appointment as I go along! Not sure if that is better or worse! Hope it comes soon! :)

Dvrdab - Hope you get your dates soon, where are you up to in your cycle? Is this your first one? Sorry for being nosey! :)

Amd - I am glad that your money has worked out, it is stressfull enough without having to worry about money so it'as great that it has worked out for you! Good luck in your cycle! :)

Jenathan - Welcome to the thread, I am quite new to this too but it is great to get to know everybody, I too had my first cycle cancelled in august, but my hormones and follicles were too high!! I don't feel as confident now as I did before that one but these boards are great! Good luck to you! :)

I don't think I missed anyone out, but if I did I am really sorry.
Well lots of luck and baby dust to you all and heres hoping for lots of BFP's in Ocober.
Take Care

Good Morning!!

The drugs are here! The drugs are here! And boy is it A LOT of needles. DH gets light headed at the thought of a shot being given to him- so it will be interesting to see his reaction to giving me the shots. My mom told me to lay out all the needles on the counter so he can look at them for a few days and get used to them. I don't know- that kind of sounds like torture to me!! Poor guy- He asked the other day if they sold smelling salts in case he passes out!! It's a little stressful.

Aunty Pebbles- Thursday we are on for Lupron right? good luck to you!!

Welcome Jenathan- so many Jenn's!! Good luck with this cycle- this one will go better

Gotta go fix lunch I'm starving!!
Have a great day everyone!
Jenn

Well, I hope all is well with all you women out there!

I am getting nervous  . My RE called and said she was going to place the order for my drugs today! :? She is expecting me to start stims as early as Sept 22! Now I am shaking! All this time, I hve been waiting and waiting! Thursday, I am going for my baseline scan and blood work. After that, I officially join the rollercoaster! Wow, I am just in awe.

Hi Jordan22,

I hope you wait at the door for the mail man when he does come and make sure you give him a piece of your mind!
Glad you can go and get all the stuff tomorrow yourself, I bet you can't wait!! it all starts to seem so much more real when you actually have stuff in front of you!!
Will you get your actual dates for ET and ER tomorrow?

Good Afternoon All,

I hope everyone is well.

Just got back from my RE's office. Had an ultrasound, my mock and a endometrial biopsy. The ultrasound should that I still have a cyst but my RE thinks that it should go away by the time I get my period so at this point we will stay on cours. The biopsy was not 1/2 as bad as I was anticipating so I am a happy camper. I did find out that they suggest we should do ICSI because my DH last two samples showed low mobility. I am scheduled for my baseline for next Friday the 22nd and I guess we will go from there.

Jenn - So happy that you got your medicine. It makes it feel so real. Don't worry, If I can do it anyone can. I am the biggest wimp there is.

Jenathan - Welcome to the group! We all have the same concerns. You are not alone. Anytime you are feeling afraid or down just log on. We will always be here for support.

KF'06 - Any sign of AF yet?

CowgirlClass - Good luck with your baseline. How did it go?

Aunty-Thank you for updated the list and for all your great advice.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi Nance

I am glad that the biopsy was not as bad as you thought, and it is good that everything seems to be moving for you, I can't wait till I can have my bloods and get a date for me to start!!
Sorry if this is a really personal question but I am not sure if it is, I was just wondering what ICSI was, I have seen it quite alot on the board but wasnt sure what it meant!!
I am always asking akward questions but it is great to learn things from you all!

Hi CheekyMonkey- I actually know the answer to your question. ICSI stands for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection. It is a form of IVF when they inject a single sperm into each egg under a very strong microscope. They usually do this when there is a problem with your DH's sperm i.e., low mobility, low sperm rate etc. From what I understand, everything is the same as with regular IVF but they inject the sperm into the egg instead because it is not strong enough to pennitrate the outer part of the egg by itself.

I hope that helps.

Take care,
Nancy
