second IVF-ICSI at BACC, Bangalore

Post by saxony »

Hi Ladies,

I am moving to bangalore in October and will do my second IVF-ICSI at BACC. I read lot of reviews about the various IVF clinics, and everyone has different opinions about different clinics. therefore I have decided to do my IVF-ICSI at BACC, since i read lot of positive reviews abt that clinic too.

If anyone has different opinion with my comment, feel feel to advise me?

Our case is Male Factor [low count/motility].. ICSI is the only option. But I am curious to know about any vitamins/ medicines that can help to improve the count and motility. I will have another 1 month to try naturally, and would like my hubby to take some vitamins and see.

Would be great if you could share your expereinces with these vitamins and its results... and is it possible to buy it in India. /via online.

My appointment at BACC is in the mid of October.

I am really hoping for this attempt.

Saxony.

Hey there,

I have replied on your other post about the vitamins,

I hope you dont mind but i read on your signature that yo are going for a fresh cycle but you have some emnies frozen. Can i ask you why you choose a fresh one again? From what I have read here, if you are in a good clinic, you get as much chance to get pregnant with a FET than a fresh cycle.

Sorry if it is too personal

take care

Hi Souris,

I did my first IVF in Germany. and have 5 frozen embies. Now I am moving to bangalore therefore decided to do a fresh cycle in bangalore at BACC, instead of going for FET in Germany.

I have more than 1 reason for skipping FET now.

1. No insurance coverage for FET in Germany.

2. My clinic in Germany is 40 kms away from my home. and I used to take two train to reach the clinic, which was so stressful and tiring. Going there everyday was quite hectic.

3. My hubby is not here. Therefore I have to manage everything on my own. If get pregnant probably need to face the family and society. None of our family members know about our treatment.

4. I also heard that FET has less success rate compare to fresh cycle.

Hope these reasons are acceptable for me to skip the FET :-)

Hey Saxony,

I know what you mean about the distance. My clinic is 1 and half our drive from home and I dont have a car!
And as you, my Dh is abroad and it makes things a lot harder.

I was just being curious!!

Whatever you decide, I hope it will work for you next time!

Hi Saxony

I was very interested to read your post about moving to Bangalore

My partner works just outside Chennai-350kms fron bangalore and we did not even consider having treatment in India (we are Australian) So I am by myself here in Brisbane having treatment (Male factor and PCOS)

If you don't mind me asking, what nationality are you and are you nervous about having treatment in India?

I would love to be able to live with my partner but don't know if I could feel confident to have treatment there! Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that point.

Do you have any idea how much treatment costs there?

Any advice/info appreciated!

Hi Melx,

My best wishes for your treatment. I am an Indian only. basically from Chennai.

I am not nervous about having treatment in India. but was hesitating a bit in the beginning. After reading lot of reviews and the standard of IVF treatment in India, I have decided to do it in India. especially with a situation my husband is in bangalore, i will feel more comfortable and secured.

To be frank, I am not nervous about IVF, injections. I have already experienced it. So i am cool with that. I would like to have positive thoughts.

I also heard about several succes and failure rates at BACC. But this happens everywhere. I got positive beta, but ended up with miscarriage. This was in Germany.

Regarding the cost, i heard that it will cost from 80,000 to 1,50,000 including medicines. the cost will vary based the dosage of medicines.

Do not worry, as soon as I start my treatment at BACC I can tell you my own experience ;-). I am really wishing to have a good and memorable experience from BACC.

I wish you all the best.

Regards,
Saxony.

Hi Saxony,
I did my ivf in gunsheela in bangalore- currently am here(bangalore) visiting family..
Bacc was too far from my parents house..
I had a great experience at gunsheela..

Mel,
About treatment in india, Chennai and bangalore are really good( you do have to visit good clinics)They have world class facilities- sometimes i feel they are better equipped to deal with any situation than any clinic in the west(maybe biased, but i stand by that) also cost wise, its a lot cheaper..
the downside is the crowd in the clinics- theres always a long wait till u can see your doc for your scan /advice etc- have no clue how it is in UK or Oz, or in the USA..

i'm here if you need any info..

Good Luck,
smita

Hi

Thanks for your responses!

We are very lucky in Australia in that the out of pocket expense is not very high-less then $2000 for me which included ICSI, all drugs, hospital admission for ec, transfer all scans and dr's appts etc, about 70 000 INR. We get rebates from government for most of it and my private health insurance covered hospital costs so thats why it is so low. Waiting times are not bad longest I have had to wait is about 1/2 hour! You make appts to see dr and mostly they run on time.

So I think it would actually be more expensive for me to have treatment in India! It would just be nice for us to be able to live together again!

Smita do you know of any clinics in Chennai? It would actually be much closer then Bangalore.

Do you know if many western women have treatment in India?

Any info much appreciated!

thanks
