Hi

After a good start-things not going so well.

Initially only 3 eggs out of nine suitable for ICSI all 3 of which fertilised which is good I suppose. 2 are being cultured for transfer and one has already been frozen.

2 more matured today and had the ICSI done, I will find out tommorrow if they fertilised or not.

Feeling very down about it all -just seems so hard and I've hardly really even started yet (only 2nd cycle)

Thanks for the info re albumin!

Hope you are all going well-we are all really just counting the days!

Em, I am with you buddy but my count down is for until May next year  . SO I have about another 250 days to go??? AGH!

Angie, hi, yea, I am with Freemasons at Melbourne IVF. My doc is Dr. Tsaltas. I am lucky I have him because he is also an Endo Specialist, so that really helps. I am only here for 12 nights this time so I am not seeing him at this time.

Suzanne, few more sleeps until your Melbourne Trip!

Bel's c-section tomorrow morning at 8am!!
Can't wait to hear from you Belinda!!

Cheers, Tiger

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your messages em and tiger.

Had transfer today so am on 2 week wait-fingers crossed!

Have 2 frozen in reserve 1 blastocyst and one frozen day after fertilised so at least it will be a while before another stimulated cycle either way which is a relief.

Tried to set up a ticker-hope it worked

Hope you are all doing well.

Hi guys,
A quice e-mail from me, lots happening here!!
Eleanor Kate was born at 8:42am last Wednesday the 30th of August. She weighed 8 pounds and one ounce and s just beautiful (of course!!). She has beautiful dark hair, browny / blue eyes and a dimple in her chin (no idea where she got that from!!). I had a really good hospital stay, no depression (so far!!), breastfeeding going well and Annie loves her little sister. We are so very lucky and truly blessed.
Will catch up on other news soon.
Take care all
Belinda

Hi everyone

Well its another BFN for me, AF arrived right on schedule as it did last time 14 days after pick up.

At least this time have frozen transfer option (if they survive the process!)

Am thinking of changing clinics-I just haven't clicked with my Dr as he seems so blase about it all.

Anyway hope you are all doing well-em and teresa not long til you start!

Hi Mel,

I am so sorry to hear your bad news. Its not fair.

Changing clinics is a good idea if you aren't completely comfortable with your doc. Sometimes I feel as if my doc is too busy for me but I know that its just my own insecurities. I can recommend QFG so far. I haven't used the day theatres yet as I have had my lap at St Andrew's but the blood people have all been wonderful and the nurse counseller I saw made me cry 'cos she was so lovely.

I hope you heal and come back to us when you are ready,

Hugs, Em

Hi guys,
Another quickie from me. Annie has gastro and is havng a tough time of it poor little thing, that plus re-learning how to breastfeed etc means I'm kind of stressed at present!!! Otherwise though all is good!

Mel, just wanted to re-iterate wat Em said, QFG IS Fabulous!!, and has the best stats in Qld (second only in Australia to Sydney IVF). They are an excellent whollistic service provider as well. As a private patient you have EVERY right to think about changing, you have to be happy and you have to have 100% confidence and satisfaction. Don't be afraid to exercise your rights to get your baby sooner rather than later.

Take care all

Hi All,

Sorry I haven't posted - I've been too frustrated to know what to say.
Mel I'm sorry to hear about your BFN and good luck with the frosties - we too have 5 in storage but who knows when we'll be able to use them.

I went in for my polyp removal a couple of weeks back only they couldn't remove it as it was more attached than they thought. Seems to be a difference of opinion between the docs as to whether it should stay or go and now I have to wait for them to look at the original scan photos to make a call.

So frustrating waiting, waiting. Em I feel my dr is too busy too but I follow up all the time if he hasn't called when he said he would!
That's my rant anyway!

Hi all,

all quite on the Aussie front  ? I too have been away for a long time.... Had fantastic time in Melbourne and back home to hubby safe and well. I was at my parents most of the time and their PC was dying....

Belinda, how are you? CONGRATS again on arrival of Ellie! and I hope little Annie's gastro is all better now... poor thing, pls pass on my hugs.

Angie, I cannot believe what they are doing to you.... how could that be? Maybe you can consult my doc, he is one of the best in OZ (and the world?) on endo and that is all to do with finding little things like (endo growth and lesions etc) and removing them. What a nuisance that they are making you wait and wait, that really sucks. Don't stress about posting, we all know that we each have our time to visit/not vist the thread; the important thing is that you and everyone know we are all here for each other when a support is needed, always.

Em, I have to wait until May next year because Melbourne is the only place for our tmt and I am not returning to Melbourne until next May as I have a work commitment in London until early May. All to do with life circumstance. I like to believe that I have some control over my life but I also know that sometime it is wiser to let it take you where it will, rather than fight and try to swim the other way.....

Mel, I am so sorry to hear about your BFN. {{{HUGS}}}. I agree with Em on changing clinics. If you are not happy/comfortable with your doc then why not? Go girl go, trust that instict!

Teresa, sorry I can't recall but do you suffer bad endo as well? Is it adenomyosis you talk about? I have that desease on top of my endo and it gives me all sorts of problems. When is your ET? I have my everything crossed for you, good luck.

Take care all. Cheers, Tiger

Hi all

Tiger thanks for the hugs hope time flies between now and may for you!

Angie that sounds terrible! where do you have treatment, I'm surprised they would be so obvious about difference of opinion-v unprofessional I think!

Em and Teresa will you both be having tranfers in Oct? I will be (hopefully) worked out dates and I will be testing somewhere around if not on my bday (big 30!) Won't be so bad my partner will be here (he works os) for 2 weeks which will be lovely.

Have decided to stick with current dr for transfers if they survive thaw and then move on to another clinic QFG most likely.

Anyway hope you are all doing well!

Mel,

sounds like good idea to me.

You probably won't need to change clinic anyway 'cos frosties in waiting will comfortably attach itself in your womb and you will have your BFP!!

Cheers, Tiger
