Hi souris, I was reading the zita west book last night and she says in there that you can get all the same symptons as AF so I wouldn't worry! I'm sure it will be fine.

Lisamarie/aunty - Remind me to watch out for you two in New York next time I'm over there - you sound scary on hormonal drugs although probably slightly amusing to watch ! :)

Becky - sorry AF is being a queen ***** to you, may be its a way of clearing your system ready for the next IVF and the BFP you will get. :D

Tigergirl - well done on 9 that sounds fantastic .

Angela - if you were not so far away I would come and help you out! Try and take it as easy as you can.

mortisha - I'm sure its not your AF - just keep those positive thoughts and keep visualising your embies snuggling in a safe and warm environment... :)

Well we had our call this morning and its not looking too good - only 2 have fertilised and she said that they were not looking good and bless they still have a day or so to go. I didn't speak to her so don't know why they don't look good - not sure if they haven't split or that they are a low grade??? They will look at them again Monday morning (if they have survived) and give us a call prior to us going down to the clinic.

So as you can imagine there has been some tears but we have also started to look at our options in case the worst is to come on Monday. Phoned my poor mum (who happened to be in M&S) and bawled down the phone to her

On a postive note we have now some options of moving foward and we still are holding out a glimmer of hope that we have a couple of fighters that will see it through.

Love to everyone
Jackie xx

ps - god aren't these pessaries bloody awful - how do you get them to stay!!

Good morning. Well, for me..what I feared would happen with IVF and using all these hormones has come to be...I am a total WRECK! Really...I feel anxiety and a bit depressed. It is the worst feeling. I suffer with anxiety through times in my life, and it is always made worse by hormones.

I called my RE in tears and begged him to let me back off on some of these hormones. (I am wearing two estrogen patches 24/7, and getting shots of progesterone nightly).

He told me to come in today and we will run some blood and take it from there.

And the worse part is I cannot even take anything (not even a glass of wine) to help make me feel a bit better.

The anxiety is over nothing in particular. And everything at the same time. It is a terrible feeling and I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

Toni: That sounds really encouraging about your Ec. Please let us know the fertilization report as soon as you can!

Becky: Ooooo...what I wouldn't do for a glass of wine! Really. Maybe even have 2 since this has been such a rough week for you. (Have one for me!)

Paula: I know you are scared. I would be too. Hang in there...Brown blood is not always a bad thing. Really. This time it could be your embies getting comfy. Let's hope for that!

LisaMarie: Don't even get me started on idiots that work at clnics. I could talk to you all day long about the ones at my clinic. Really...mind blowing!

Souris: I think the cramping is a good thing!!! I do! Why the HCG shot after ET? I have not heard of this before?

Jackie: Honey. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that your two continue to divide and make it til ET. Keep us posted

LOL at all your IVF Rage stories, i had one this morning as i had to take my car into a garage that i have never been to before - it should only be about 20 minute drive from my house, well i got lost and it ended up taking 1 hour lol - i am sure the other road users were speeding up past me as i am screaming and shouting to myself in the car and hitting the steering wheel in frustration like some maniac!!! (lol i have only been on stimms for 1 days!!)

I ended up having to ring the garage for directions

Then i got home and shouted at DH as he had not hoovered the bedroom or made the bed like i specifically asked him to before i went out, and he shouted back "I am not getting into this now with you, i have been up for 10 minutes", i have turned into some sort of control maniac lol

Hi all
Souis and Paula - i'm sure u have nothing 2 worry about and u'll b annuncing ur bfp's very shortly!

Becky - my af is awful, i feel so uncomfortable and got woken up twice in the night with it as its so bad (sorry tmi).

We have decided to go for the other clinic - its in london and we live in devon so its quite a way. we have filled out the paperwork and are going to send it off on monday! They say we should get a consultation in 8-12 weeks so there is light at the end of the tunnel!

I will stay with dh's family and he will come up on weekends and obviously he will have 2 get time off for EC and ET! Its all a bit daunting but hopefully if its gets us the child we want so much then it will all be worth it!

Sorry i haven't been on much in the last couple of days, we've been trying to get over our BFN but i haven't stopped thinking about u ladies and hope everything turns out well for each and every1 of u!

I'll be sticking around!!!

Spk soon

Becky, Vickie, JackieG:

I had a failed IVF last November, and I bled like a muther for a week and a half. Bloody, clotty, very painful. It felt similar to a miscarriage I had in my 20's.

Well, this morning I felt even worse, my stomache is killing me. I called the clinic, they said to come in, they did a scan and bloodwork, and I have fluid built up around my ovaries. Not exactly OHSS, but some similar symptoms. Ouch! I'm to drink lots of sodium high drinks to absorb the extra fluid. So I'm drinking lots of V8 juice, Gatorade, etc.

Of the 9 eggs ICSI'd, 2 didn't fertilize, 1 fertilized badly with mutated chromosomes, but 6 fertilized well. The odds are that 50% of fertilized eggs make it to the embryo stage, so hopefully we'll get at least 3 embryos for transfer.

BTW, for a trivia tidbit, does everyone know the history of Gatorade? Gatorade was created by Mrs. Robert Cade, Dr. Alex DeQuesada, Dr. Dana Shires and Dr. Jim Free at the University of Florida in 1965 for the school's football team and given the university's mascot, the Gators. It was first used in a football game against LSU (Geaux Tigers! - my alma mater) in 1965.
The Gators football team used Gatorade and went on to win their first Orange Bowl title in 1967. They beat Georgia Tech, whose coach, when asked why they lost, replied: "We didn't have Gatorade. That made the difference." Gatorade was used officially in 1969 by the Kansas City Chiefs, who attributed their Super Bowl title of that year to the University of Florida sports drink.
The University of Florida still owns the rights for the drink's formula, and has received more than US$80 million in Gatorade royalties.

That's our trivia fact of the day! :)

Good luck to everyone, I have to go to the bathroom again now. :)

Hi Ladies. It is late for most of you...but I just wanted to pop in and say hi.

I also wanted to mention that I know you guys are waiting for my test on Monday (AS AM I). Remember...I am on Pacific Coast time and most of you are nine hours ahead...therefore...I get my blood draw at 8 a.m. and probably won't get the results til about 10:30 a.m. (which would be 7 p.m. or later for many of you). Just wanted to remind you of that when you wonder why I haven't written on Monday.

Fingers crossed! I have good pma today.

Hi Girls...

AF pain is unbelievable. 2 days after BC I got the most pain AF in my life. Well okay... to be honest I had never felt AF cramp before. But if I had to roll over my floor with my tears, it must be very painful Right? 'Sprite' :D The Warm Bottle helped me a lot. Have you tried?

Anyway, I graduated my First Injection. Now, Im officially IVF lady. :D :D I was shock that I didn't feel anything. I was so amazed I shook my nurse's hand. Told her She was the best nurse ever
AF already reduced yesterday DR said it was normal because of BC. I said goodbye to AF last night on toilet. I said I loved having them, but I need them to take a break for the next 10 months :D :D Im starting be sentimental. How fast Gonal works!!!!

Dr also said my womb was very clean. No polyp or cyst. But DR didn't mention about follies. He said because BC No follies   Is itt true? Im praying to see them on next appointment. My next appointment on Tuesday to see if I have response. It will be my 4th day on Gonal.

Happy Sunday Girls. My thoughts and prayer for all of you. God Bless Us

Im back. Its rainy outside, I cancelled my morning walking.

Tigerwood, what is V8 juice? Where can i buy it? Is it easy to find? 6 sounds good. I hope the they are good quality. Good luck on your transfer.

Moristha, i also read in internet. Brown spot sometimes comes on day 4 after transfer, sign of implantation. Don't worry. we are here praying for you.

Zirly, Im praying for your dream come true.

Hi ladies,

Just a quick one from me today.

Had scan and BT this morning and another BT tomorrow and looks like will be triggering tomorrow(Monday) night. With EC Wednesday. Image

Was hoping to be triggered tonight as am really uncomfortable so have taken two Panadol and am lying in bed reading the "Harry Potter"books.

Will update tomorrow.

Jemima

V-8 juice is sold by Campbell Soup Company. Its a combination of juices from common vegetables, story is it was 8 veggies but dominated by tomato juice. Its ridiculously high in sodium, a 12 ounce 354 mL bottle has 880 mg of Sodium, that's quite a lot! There's nothing special about it, the nurses also suggested McDonalds French Fries!

Campbells is a big soup company here in the states. If you can find a store over there that sells American products they will probably carry it. If not, Cambell's does have a web site for the juice (www.v8juice.com) and the bottle has a phone number (800-871-0988). They're based in New Jersey, so their phone numbers might work on New York time.

Good luck with the Gonal-F.
