Myhb,

So happy for you babe!!! Isn't it great each step has been a success so far? Good luck with the ER on Monday, I will be thinking of you.

PS I've postponed my Italian holiday as I've got a bad cold and I think afternoon sickness has finally kicked in in putting me off everything. Urgh!

Lots of love
Rittie

Hello Girls!
Finally I have unpacked everything and got back on track! Here is another update, please let me know if there is something I should change...

Sam (Denver, Colorado) Aug 13 BFP!! 9/6 - u/s - expecting one little miracle Image
Rittie 2000 (Wimbledon, London) Aug 18 BFP!! 2 heartbeats seen on 9/6!! ImageImage
Champa (California, Bay Area) Sept 7 BFP!! Image
Newbie_Rose 9/11 – Pregnancy testing Image
Herbie 6269 (Southern Maryland) - Sept 1 - Started StimsImage
Myhb (New England) Sept 18 ER Image
Malinka (Philadelphia)- Aug/27 Started Lupron Image
Jemima (Jakarta) – Sep/15 Starting Stims Image
Yogi Sept 11 Starting LupronImage
Lola (California) Aug 22 - cancelled cycle, next IVF Sept/Oct Image
Alicia (Yuma, Arizona) Aug 28 – BFN, next IVF - Oct Image
Suzhan (California) Aug 21 – BFN, next IVF Sept/Oct Image
Wannababy ( New Jersey) Sept 1 - BFN, next IVF in Oct/NovImage
Mia (Las Vegas, NE) Sept 8 BFN, 1st FET - Oct/NovImage

Champa --- my birthday is April 26, so you are 22 days older  That's great to know we are so close!

Alicia --- I know how you feel, but listen, my husband keeps telling me that my body fat is good for the baby, so at least gaining weight makes us more fertile! I started running slowly again and he told me I run to fast and I should stop and rather put on some weight. Isn't he funny?

Mybh - I will be thinking of you tomorrow, wishing you a lot of eggies! I cannot believe the time is here!

I just got back this morning, we went to visit some friends who live 5 hours away and tonight I just got my period. I was so surprised! The doctor said it may take over a month for me to get it, since I dropped everything when my estradiol was 38, but it took less then a month! So I have to call the doctor tomorrow and go down there on Tuesday. So I guess I am starting again this week!

I have to go make a dinner now, but I will write more to all of you tomorrow!

Love Lola!

Hey there Lola - Thanks so much for the update!!! And, congrats on getting started again - wish I was there with you. Assuming AF arrives on time this weekend, it looks like I'll start BCPs about a week later, with Lupron starting the end of October and ER/ET second week of November. We have to add another week with BCPs to get off of DH's work trip. So, I think we won't be too far off.... hurray!

Alicia - I'm so glad I'm not the only one having trouble buttoning my shorts! Between these last two cycles this year, I've gained 10 pounds and have had a terrible time losing it. I started really getting serious about working out again in June and since I got the -ive result last month, I've been at the gym at least 4 times per week. Nothing seems to be working - this past week, my pants are tighter than ever! I'm going to chalk it up to working towards my new baby figure.

myhb - I hope your ER went fantastic today! Give us an update when you're feeling recovered. Sending your new embies lots of positive energy to cleave, cleave, cleave!

champa, rittie, sam - Hope you're doing well!

Is anyone still having bum pain from the PIO? I still get little twinges now and then, especially in the morning - ugh!

Happy baby-making to all!

- Suzhan

I feel like I have gained a lot of weight as well. When I asked my nurses they said that all the medications and that the overies are swollen. I imagine that that is what is going on in your cases as well as they said it had nothing to do with the pregnancy. It is good to get in shape but remember that your bodies have been through a lot and most of it is out of your control.

Love,

Sam

Hello everyone!

I have read that your body should be a certain percent of fat in order to produce enough estrogen which is important for fertility. A friend of mine was told to stop high impact exercising for awhile by her Dr. because he said her bodyfat and estrogen was too low. I think it's supposed to be between 15% and 25-30% body fat (I'd have to look it up again). Women who have too low body fat or too much body fat will likely have fertility problems, for some all they need to do is correct their percentage and they can get PG. I wish it we're that easy for me. Last I checked (several months ago) I was at about 22% body fat. I'm sure it's more now. I'd rather it be under 20%. I've done no excercise for like the last 6-8 months, just a little walking, really bad I know. I really need to get back into Yoga and walk more. Stuff that will tone and strengthen rather than burn alot of fat.

myhb, How did it go? You doing OK?

Wannababy, I'm sheduled to do FET, the actual transfer for the week of Oct. 29th. I wil start a BCP my next AF which should be in about 3 weeks.

I'm once again very optimistic, but not trying to get my hopes too high. Chances of this failing is 50% so it's a 50% we'll have to go another round of IVF at $15,000 a pop  . I think the cost bothers me more than the actual IVF process. it's not fair, normal people can just keep trying (the fun way) every month without spending a dime. For us it's like, It didn't work, can we somehow get another $15,000 to try again or do we throw in the towel :( . I think we'll have to get a home equity line of credit or something to pay for another round. I don't really want to do that since we just bought the house :? . Or we'll have to wait a year or 2 to pay of the medical loan we got to pay for this round. I don't really want to wait that long though because I would be 40 when I give birth (if it works). Not that being 40 is bad, but PG is much riskier and I'm all ready considered high risk at 37.

Dear Friends,
I've a bad news to share with you. I had severe abdominal pain last thursday and since then my HCG levels are going down. Today Dr confirmed that its a miscarriage.
Lola please correct the chart.

I am not sure when I'll be starting my new IVF cycle. Hopefully in November. I am hopeful for my next cycle as atleast I reached so far. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Champa!
This is so sad, I have tears in my eyes. I cannot even imagine what must be going through your mind! Image
This thing is such an emotional rollercoaster and it seems like it is never really over.. But don't worry, when you are ready, we are here to help you and we will be with you all the way!
Please take a good care of yourself... This happens and it is just one of the obstacles you have to go through on this way. And there is a baby at the end of it, I know it!
Hope you are handling everything well. Love always... Lola

Champa--My heart goes out to you. I will be thinking of you this next time around. I am sure you heard this a million times but at least your body does get pregnant and you responded to IVF. That is half the battle.

Lots of love

Champa --- Yes, that's true, look at me , I did not even respond to the meds and I have never been pregnant before. So at least you know you can become pregnant and it is just a matter of time! And again, rembember that you are still young 8) !

Girsl, I did not tell you, I am starting again, I went to the clinic today and my protocol is different and much faster. My stims start already on Oct. 1st and the ER should be around the 10th (if I respond well, of course  ).

Warm greetings to you all! Lola
