Hello I am new here and in 2 week wait after FET

Post by kate06 »

Hi everybody

I am new here.Please anyone tell me what BFP and DH stand for

I am in my 2 week wait after FET .I will do my test on 23rd Sept Saturday
This my 1st IVF ,it is a male factor ( my husband had a failed vasectomy reversal so IVF + ICSI was the only option ) I am 34 and fertile after egg retrival I had moderate OHSS ,ET cancelled and stayed in the hospital for 4 days.Now I had an natural cycle FET ,feeling OK,no symptoms only mild cramps like PMS.

I am very nervous as I have nobody here ,recently been made redundant .It is quite stressfull to stay home all day .

Good luck to everyone

Hi Kate

Welcome!

BFP = Big Fat Positive

DH = Dear husband

If you go to the General message board you will fine a thread for abbreviations. I cut and paisted a copy to my desk top so I can refer to it as I'm reading along.

I will say a prayer for you to get a BFP on the 28th!

Hi Kate,

if you ever want to talk... I'm also in Liverpool! Unfortunately I've also lost my job back in June 2006 (shortly followed by a BFN in July) but am going through another IVF/ICSI cycle at the moment. I will have my first stimms scan on Thursday.:roll:

Like I said - if you ever want to talk - let me know! We could arrange to meet for a coffee etc etc

Lot of love and good luck for the 2WW! :D

New here

This my 1st IVF (husband had a failed vasectomy reversal so IVF + ICSI is our only option). Yesterday they spotted 7 folicals and said everything is right on track. I tried to read as much as I could before I started all of this, but I'm not sure what to expect next. How many folicals do they like to see before egg retrieval?
Katie

failed vas reversal, 1st time IVFer - will be doing ICSI

ME - 36, DH - 39
Stepmom to 2 boys - 16 & 18

Hi Katie

If they said everthing is OK nothing to worry about.I had 10 follicals and ended up having 19 eggs during egg retrieval and left me really ill , we had to cancel ET back in May this year.Everybody responds differently to the drugs. It doesn't mean you will have the same problems .But I am ok now .Waited another 2 months to do natural cycle FET.I could have done earlier using drugs to stimulate but I prefered without any medication.So after having 2 normal period I checked my LH surge level and after 3 days 2 frozen embroyes transferred.It was a quite simple proceedure.I am in my 2ww at the moment ,testing on 23rd Sept. and hoping BFP :))

If it doesn't work I still have 5 more frozen embryos.I will use them in another natural cycle FET .I am quite positive.I will feel very upset if I find out BFN on saturday but I will carry on living my life normally because at end of the day I have a great relationship with my husband and he is a BFP in my life .....

Hope everything goes well for you ,don't panic and keep yourself busy...

Lots of love
