Hey ladys....
well to answer your question i am spoilt i dont work we decided i should stop working you know because we where going to have a baby...... of course easy as that .....stop work do ivf get pregnant then do all the mommy stuff....big shocker to find it doesnt work like that...LOL.. i used to do recruiting for an employment agency loved it i hosted all the recruitment fairs did all the testing checks ....got to meet some great people (and some unusual ones too) so im taking a break while we had our three trys then go back to work if it doesnt work for us...so hoping not to be working for a good oo 3 1/2 years

im also lucky that my hubby is an ICU trauma nurse the ivf doesnt fase him at all ...babys now thats a whole other matter hes never been around babys so thats going to be fun i know he wouldnt even hold my niece when she was first born he said she was too little (she was one of the big ones at over 7 pounds too) bless him...

Aunty - You are so lucky you are not working. I wish we were in the position to do that but unfortunately we are not. Your DH sounds like my DH he is an only child and has never been around kids much and is afraid of them half the them. I'm sure he will catch on quickly.

Hey,how is everyone?

Well in answer to your query,accupincture is great,this time im going to a trditional chinese herbalist who does accupuncture..The needles are not too bad,you do feel some of them going in but compared to inj you give yourselves its easy,and you just think of the end result,its been a proven fact that accu can help ivf'ers,so im giving it my all as i dont know how many BFN's i can take...Only thing is she has given me a chinese herb or 2 that i boil to make tea,it helps make womb more receptive to pregnancy,and my god it foul,cost a fortune and i threw it down sink..DP says,just hold your nose and swallow.(all rite for him,he not the one drinking it) Anyway the point is i do thouroughly recommend it for everyone doing ivf,even without the benefits it totally relaxes you...

I also know what everyone is saying bout DP/DH,mine is same,he is desperate for a baby so will try anything,but he thinks ivf is unatural,so i try to shield as much as poss from him..We're mad eh...

hi Guys.
Haven't posted in a while, cos one things have been pretty hectic, like going to see Robbie Williams!! and leaving our little girl for the first time overnight. She was of course and angel for her grandparents but I was pretty anxious! Also I'm still waiting for AF to arrive so have been feeling pretty much in limbo, it's been a long month. AF due Friday though so hope I can soon get going!

Januska- welcome. The guys on here are great. We are all with you!

Nicola- Great that your going through the acupuncture. I've heard it's really successful so good luck.

Cowgirl- good news about DH. Once less thing for you to worry about.

Hey Ladies!!!

I am back!! Trip went really well and we had a great time!!! I did really well with the baby and didn't cry once!!! I really suprised myself!! All your thoughts and well wishes really paid off!! Thanks for the support!!! I really needed it!!!

I have to go for my suppression check tomorrow and I am so excited. I hope all is well and I can start stims on Saturday!!! Woohoo that is when all the fun begins.

I am doing well with the lupron, not having any side effects! Thank goodness! I will let Auntie and Nance handle all of those!!

Nictor-- How are you?? Glad you found your PMA again!! It is very hard to keep it up with all these hormones isn't it!!!

cowgirl--So glad that DH is getting home in time!!! WooHoo!!

Nance--Sorry your having the hot flashes!! They suck don't they!! I had them on my FET cycle, I took double the dose of lupron on that one and that made me one hot momma!!!

Jordan--I am so glad you finally got your plan!! I think my DH should have to match me shot for shot!! Hope he does well with the shots and the work for him!!!

Well I am off to bed, I am so tired! We drove 7 1/2 hrs today! Whew! Came home to spend the night and then drive 2 1/2hrs tomorrow for my suppression check, so the travel doesn't end for the next several weeks!!

Will try to catch up properly tomorrow night!!

Nictor - I'm starting my 3rd ivf again in October and have also just started acupuncture/herbs. If you don't mind me asking, I was wondering what the name of the 'awful tasting' herb is that helps prepare the womb. That's my issue, so anything that might help is welcomed.

Cowgirl and Haylie - I'm SO glad to know we'll have each other to talk to during the dreaded 2ww - the last 4 days are the worst! Let us know your status after your next US...

I had my 2nd US today and I have 9 follicles in the running (3 left, 6 right) - There are 2 others under 10 (probably won't catch up) and one that is too large (will probably be sacrificed for the others to mature further). I've never had 12 follicles before. My E2= ~950. This is a great cycle for me - the best I've ever had. I would thus far attribute it to the addition of accupuncture and my new support group!

I've given myself MANY IM shots now and it has not been bad at all. DH has been traveling so much the past week that I forced myself to try it. Anyone could do it!

Suzhan..Im not sure which herbs my chinese doc is using all i know is they are so totally disgusting,i was gagging last night trying to drink it..She def said to try drink it even though it was foul as it makes my womb more receptive to the embies,i will try my hardest to find out what they are and let you know if i can..

Jeck - Welcome back. So glad that it went well. We missed you around here. I have a question for you. You and I started Lupron around the same time. Did you get AF yet? My supression check in on Friday but I have not gotten AF yet. I am only on cd30 so I really am not very late. Generally I am anywhere between 26 and 29. Will they still do the supression check if I do not get AF by then?

Lori - So glad you are having such a great cycle. You must be so excited.

All - I just read Imogen Edwars-Jones "The Stork Club" it is a very good IVF related read. I think that some of you might enjoy it. I would be happy to send it to anyone who would like to read it. Lori glad your scan went well. Cowgirlclass how your scan go? I had mine today and they have increased my dosage of menopur because my left side is not performing there are 10 follies onmy right side but only 1 on my left. When is your next scan? I have to go back on Fri.

Casy- you lucky thing going to watch Robbie was he good?, I had tickets for Sat nite but I cancelled because of my cycle. I was supposed to be going to london for the weekend with the girls and I didn't fancy dragging my meds around with me plus there is only 1 of my friends who know we are doing IVF this time.

Hi! I started my birth control pills on Sunday and I know I take them for 3 weeks. Do I still have a change of doing IVF in October? I know everyone is different but I am still unclear on the general timeline. Thanks!

It is a BEAUTIFUL day here! Sunny and not too hot. I hope everyone else is enjoying their day as well!


Leah- I think it depends on what your doctor is going to have you do next. Are you taking one lupron shot around CD 18-21? Or are you taking a couple of weeks of them? I started BCP Aug. 27th. Lupron shot Setp. 14. which was CD 21. As soon as AF arrives (which should be soon) I will start stimming. I am thinking my ER and ET will be in the beginning of Oct. Like 1st or 2nd week. I THINK if you are doing something like that you should have ER and ET at the end of Oct. maybe beginning of Nov. But everyone is different. Have you asked your doc?

hey ladys i hope your all well... i think i just read your taking herbs along with ivf?? i had heard that these can intefere with the ivf meds and you wernt supposed to take them??? just thought i should mention this
