Jen--Gosh I hate that you have had such a reaction from the lupron Glad you are feeling some better.

Nance--I didn't start my AF until today, which was 1 day after the suppression check. They weren't concerned that I hadn't started when I had my appt.

Nictor--How is everything going with you?? Did ghost give you any good advice?? Hope you are doing well!!

As for me I will start stims on Saturday!! WooHoo!! Last fresh cycle I started out at one dose a day of 225 and then at my first monitoring they increased my dosage to 150 2x a day for a total of 300. So this time they are starting me out at 150 2x a day but bringing me for a scan earlier to make sure its not too much. I am so excited, maybe I will have more follies this time!!

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to see all the progress that everyone is making! It's so exciting to see all the reports from those of you stimming!!

I am doing a little better today but still don't feel great. We are about to do our 4th Lupron shot and I have felt marginally better each day so here's hoping that it keeps getting better. Thanks for the sympathy. Aunty-do you usually feel these symptoms the WHOLE time you are doing Lupron?!?! (Crossing my fingers that this is not so!) I've never had side effects like this from the stims so I am hoping that it is a Lurpon only thing and that it will subside.

Jeck-YAY!! I am so excited that you are going to start stimming in a few days! I hope that you get lost of good follies going!

Rachael-SO SORRY about your house! Yikes! I need to develop your attitude of acceptance-it sounds like you handled the situation amazingly well!

Jenn-Good luck w/ your appt! I hope you will start stims right away!

Cowgirl-I hope you will get the answers you need about your follies and meds. I'm sure you are worried but like others have said-you've still got time and there may be some hiding. Good luck!

I hope everyone is doing well.

Jeck - Yae! You must be so excited about starting your stims on Saturday. You are almost there. I still have not gotten AF and when I spoke to my RE yesterday they said to call back today if I do not get it and they might push back my baseline. AAAHHH!!! I hate delays. I am not a paitent person by any stretch and expecially in this situation.

Jen J/Aunty - I am so sorry you are having such bad side effects from the Lupron. I hope that you both continue to feel better.

Rachael - I hope everything is going well with the house. That sounds like such a nightmare. You seem to be dealing very well with it. I wish I had your PMA.

As for me, I had a breakdown on the phone with my RE's office yesterday. To make a long story as short as possible. . . my ins. will pay for three ART treatments per lifetime. Now they consider IUI and IVF both ART treatments. When I found this out way back when I specifically told my RE's office not to submit my IUI to the insurance carrier (because I would rather pay for that myself and let the ins. pay for three IVF cycles because they are so much more expensive then the IUI). Of course my RE's office messed up and submitted it to my ins. so I was down one out out of my three (a mistake that could possibly cost me $20k down the road) and after pitching a fit I found out yesterday that they also submitted my 2nd IUI (actually I had two IUI's in a two day period which my RE's office said only counted as one) to my insurance carrier. Which means if I can't fix this because of this mistake I only have one shot at IVF. I am trying to resolve this but an not sure if it would work. I was so upset I cried pretty much all day and was miserable. The worse part is that not only did they not appologive but they did not even seem to care. So now I feel awful. I have pretty much no confidence that this is going to work and am so discouraged.

Help!

I have been taking Estradiol and I am supposed to finish taking them tomorrow. I had spotting this morning and I am not sure if this is AF or not. Normally when I get AF, it is strong from the start. I am having the mild cramping that comes with AF, but the bleeding was minimal and has now stopped again. Is this it? Should I call my RE and let them know it has started? I want it to be AF, but I have no idea. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Nance-- You have every right to be upset with your clinic!! Just take it as a sign that this IVF cycle is the one for you!!!!
I am doing the AF jig for you!! Hope this makes her show up!

cmoscar- I would call! Hopefully this is it and you can start!!!!!

Jen J-- How are you?? I hope that you are not having any side effects of the lupron today!!!

Auntie-- I am taking Follistim this time, because that is what the clinic was able to get me for free!!!! I took Gonal-F last time because I liked the pen better!!! I don't know if you know this but don't throw away your pen when the pen says it is empty, because it is not really. Take one of your needles that you use for Lupron and stick it in the end of the pen and draw out the rest of the med. It is usually almost a whole dose!! You will have to convert the units to the pen units. I found this out a little too late last time!!! No tell how much money I threw in the trash!!!

Lori-- What is prolactin? and how did they check for it??

Cowgirl--How was your scan??? Let us know, you know we all stalk the boards and have to know as soon as you do if not before!!!

Hello ladies!

Wow it looks like everyone is really moving along!! Let's get this show on the road so we can get our BFP's and be done with it!!

cmoscar- CALL your Dr.!!! I was spotting too- which is odd for me. I usually have heavy periods. They brought me in right away to look at it. Just see what they tell you. It can't hurt to call.

Ok- so I went this morning and they took blood and did an ultrasound. U/S looked good she said lining was thin so spotting was all I was going to get after all. If the blood work comes back good this afternoon I will get a call to start stimming TOMORROW!! OMG! I'm excited and terrified!! I had the nurse draw big circles on my butt so DH knows where to stick me! It looks interesting!! The circles are really big. I didn't know we had that big of an area to work with.... Or does it just mean I just have a big booty??

Nance- I would be spittin' mad as well. I'm so sorry that happened. It's not like you don't have enough to be stressed about. Can they fix it??

okay back from my scan. I was at the hospital all day cause daughter had appt. which ended in blood work and x rays so it took forever. Well today looked a bit better. I have 8 follicals growing nicely. Some are a bit smaller but have a few more days to mature. I go in for another scan on Saturday. I was told my trigger shot might be Saturday night or monday nite. Does anyone know if follies stop growing after the trigger shot or not? I am just curious for the small follies.

Nance if I was you I would be angry too!

Hey Jen didn't you say EC for you would be about the 26? and you are just starting stim meds? I know everyone is different. I like reading everyone's different protocols.

Well, I called my RE and they told me it is just spotting. They want me to keep taking the med and call them tomorrow. I noticed after lunch that the cramps have let up and the "spotting" is down to almost none. I normally have such heavy periods that this is strange to me. My period never waits, it just busts right in! Oh well, I will have to wait a little longer to start the meds. I am so excited! I did get my meds in the mail today. Wow! There are a ton of them! I have my class tonight that will teach me how to use them. This is soooo overwhelming!

Cmoscar - Did you speak with your Dr. yet? I am sure it is fine but you should let them know just to be sure.
