BFN for me this month, AF hit today.

I just found your group and started reading from the start..but since there are 67 pages it will take me a while to catch up and learn things about IUi along the way. Im on my first IUI and have had a scan today on day 9 as the clinic is closed tommorow. Going back on Monday and im hoping that all is well that i can at least be inseminated. From what i have read so far, there is still a chance that the follicles wont be big enough(the nurse said they would try another injection if required). How often does this happen and can anyone give me more info generally?

Welcome Julie. Are you on any medications? Are you doing an ovulation prediction kit at home?

I was on Clomid from days 2 to 6 and Gonel F on days 5 7 & 9.

Today is day 9 and i had a scan but my follices arent big enough so im getting another scan on day 11(Monday)

Not doing any ovulation at home, following all the instructions at the hospital.

Seems like you still have plenty of time for them to grow. Mine normally aren't big enough until day 14.

So they would just keep trying and wait until they could inseminate? i thought that if it wasnt big enough on day 10 or 12 then it was a failure. Please can someone give me the run down on what they dont tell you?

trying hard to stay strong, day 3 is thursday for scan and sono the roller coaster is going again

I got my meds (Lupron and Prog Oil) today in the mail, a box of stuff. The clinic will sale me the Stims.

Went yesterday for another scan and i have a follice at 17 but it was the same the day before also so they have given me another gonel f and told me to come back on Thursday(Day 14). The consultant happened to be in the staff room so he said he is aiming for IUI early saturday morning.

To GDPH630, i dont know if im being naive here as im on my first IUI, i just feel doing something like this gives me a much better chance in getting pregnant. Im not good with words so please excuse me and i hope you get what im trying to say. I think compared to the wait for the last 2 1/2 years, when im trying without "assistance"(and all the years before when i was trying with my previous partner) i feel that my chances are improved and i will get there how ever many times it takes. I feel daft for writing this but i want to write something as in all my posts so far, i havent really replied to help or advise as im not in the position to( I KNOW NOTHING..LOL)
As my mum says, i take 40 words to say what anyone can say in 2!
