Hello ladies..

Em its funny you brought up the doggy question.. Yesterday I was telling someone a story about how he was running (like a horse) and I was grinning from ear to ear. I felt like such a proud mom.. I think people who really are connected to their pets do love them just as they would babies.. I already feel so attached to him.. He is such a good boy. When I get home tonight I am going to have DH help me load pics of him on the photo bucket so you can all the see the pretty boy.. He is so cute. I am a little bias though.. :D :D

To everyone else hello and I hope you are all doing ok.. I am doing fine.. My mom comes back in to town on Saturday. She was going to come anyway for the IVF since DH had to travel so she is coming anyway. She is going to come this Saturday and DH will be gone the first scan so my mom and I will go together.I am terribly nervous but very excited too..

Love and hugs to all I have acc tonight that always makes me feel better
love

My ovaries must be huge! My lower abdomen is so swollen and I've gained about 5 lbs in the last week. It's exciting to be responding so well this time. Hopefully it's mostly water weight and will drop off once I'm done stimming.

Em, they told me that they want the lead follicles to be over 18 before they do the retrevial. The doctor had me drop my dose for last night and tonight, probably to give the smaller ones time to catch up. I go in for another sono tomorrow and they should have a better idea of exactly when my retrevial will be and how many follicles will be mature.

I'm glad everyone is doing well and I'll let you know how the sono goes tomorrow.

OMG!!!!!!!! Jackie, natural BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must have been floored when you found out. This is so great!!! Wishing you happy and healthy pregnancy!

Dania- also the natural surprise! 18 weeks- Congrats! How do you feel? Do you feel the kicks yet? let us know how the baby shopwer went. Did you find oout boy or girl? I bet for girl based on the heartbeat. Girls have higher HB. By 18th week Hb is uswually 140-150 for boys. But this is an old tale. Who knows, right?

LauraLou- back fom Vegas:) I always say I would go there one day but now we will have our hands full. plus money will go for the kids, not for gambling...

Em, Veronica, Carolyn- I am also thinking of you and praying for all of us to get healthy babies.

We had our level 2 u/s. the technician was keeping us guessing for 2 hours! At the end- BOY and GIRl!!!! We are sooo happy!
I look already 8mo pregnant, have put 30lbs. Yyoohhooo, way to go:)

Looking forward to reading more BFP!

I just got back from my dr's appt and everything looks great!!! I have 16 mature follicles (greater than 15) and a bunch of smaller ones, some of which should be big enough by my retrieval. I go back tomorrow for another sono. The nurse said she thinks the retrieval will be on Monday instead of Tuesday.

She was commenting on how much better this cycle is than my last. She said my first estrogen level last cycle was 89, this cycle it was 832! What a difference.

I had 10 eggs last time, 6 of which fertilized. I am hoping to get closer to 20 this time. They implanted two grade B's in May. I hope there will be one or two grade A's this time. My lining is 14, which is really, really good. I think if I have some good quality embryos they will implant.

Everything seems to be going so well. I really hope that this will be my time and that in a little over two weeks I will be posting my very strong BFP!

Jackie, how do I get to the photobucket to see photos of Graham?

Vessi, I am so thrilled for you! How exciting to be having one of each.

Em, I hope you are feeling better today. Do you start your stims tomorrow?

Carolyn, I hope your presentation went well.

I'll let you know how the sono goes tomorrow and if the EC will be Mon or Tues.

Vessi, how nice to hear from you, and what wonderful nes: a boy and a girl!

Laura, your stim-response sounds great! And it's wonderful that you are so optimistic. I am sure this will be your time :!: :!:

You can google photobucket. And than you can sign in with password and username both: ivfgroup

I am on my last day of the cycle, waiting for AF to arrive. No feeling of being pregnant whatsoever :(

Laura - great news from your scans. It is really good news that they have been able to make adaptations this time that have made such a big difference for you. You are doing so well. I am really pleased for you sweetie. Let us know of your EC date so we can all think of you. I think that the fact that you are quite bloated is the price that you have to pay to have lots of follies. I found the weight did go once I was off all the drugs. It is all going to be worth it for you in the end

Jackie - not a dog person but did go and take a look at Graham. Even I can see that he is cute. May be even I would not be scared of him. You must be both excited and a little nervous about your scan. It is such a big deal. How lovely that you will have your Mom with you. It is going to be so amazing and emotional for you when you see the heartbeat

Em - Starting right now. Let us know if you have any questions. You are going to do just great

Vero - I so hope that AF will stay away for you. Thinking of you hun & wishing her to stay away

Vess - Boy & girl. How perfect

So finally this week I have been running around, forgetting my tummy and scar and not feeling tired. Was out 2 nights this week as well. Feeling so much better FINALLY. I feel great. Keeping all my data in my new spreadsheet on my body temp etc etc Not even been obsessing too much about this month although sure that will get harder as I get through the month. Have acu scheduled for next Thursday which should be before I ovulate.

So watching the Ryder Cup and hoping that Europe are going to win - sorry to my American pals!!!!! DH taking me out this evening as back really feeling like it.

PMA PMA PMA to us all. Have great weekends.
Love to you all

I had to go to a different doctor's office for my sono this morning. I guess drs take turns working on the weekends and this week it wasn't my dr's turn. It was okay but they weren't as warm and fuzzy as the people at my dr's office.

Good news is I am to take my trigger shot tonight at 8:00 pm and my retrieval will be Monday morning at 8:00 am. I have at least 17 mature follicles and there maybe a few more by Monday.

Bad news is my E2 level is really high and they are worried about ovarian hyperstimulation. I have some of the mild symptoms, abdomen bloating, weight gain, mild nausea, decreased urine output but not the more serious respiratory complications. I am supposed to drink lots of Gatorade (yuck!) and water.

I am working tonight and Sunday night, so I probably won't be able to post until after the EC on Monday. Please wish me luck and send your thoughts and prayers my way. Thank you!

Laura

Wow. Sounds like this cycle has gone really well for you and you are going to get a great number of eggs. I am so pleased for you.

They told me that protein was also good along with the water and sports drinks. So I drank milk also and ate lots of salmon. Understand that you need to do this after EC as well as risk is higher after they take the follies out when the water floods in to repair you. Plus I planned to go to work the day after EC and pre-transfer and they told me to rest instead so that you body has the best chance to heal before your little ones come home. Know that you are v busy over the weekend but may be you'll have chance to rest a little more after EC. Try to if you can.

Am thinking of you. Hoping that everything will go really well for you tomorrow hun. Look forward to seeing how many little eggs they manage to get..............

Fingers and toes crossed for you.
Love Carolyn xxx

PS - Hope everyone else is having a lovely weekend. Raining in London this morning but me and dh will stay in all day to watch the climax of the Ryder Cup anyway so does not really matter. I have another busy week lined up so will check in when I can but will think of you all.

Hi guys,

Sorry I have been quiet, but I totally freaked out over the weekend and I'm still feeling a little blue. I am just terrified. I know that it will all be fine, but I just know I will not be ok if this fails. This is so much bigger than the IUI's and in 3 weeks I will have two embryo's in me which is closer to being pregnant than I have ever been and I don't know what I will do if they don't take.

Perhaps its the drugs making me feel so blue but I can't stop crying. I want this so much!

AF came in time on friday and I started my down regs on saturday. I will start stims on 4th Oct. This will make EC around friday 13th (???? sign). If this happens, then transfer will be on the sunday 15th Oct which will be 6 years to the day that DH and I met.

Sorry there's no personals, but I wanted just to come on and get this off my chest.

Love em

Hello ladies..
Sorry about being gone all weekend.. I had a terrible flu.. My mom got here on Saturday morning and I was sick all day on Saturday and Sunday....

Laura I am so excited and I am thinking of you ( I think you are a couple of hours behind but your EC will be very soon) Try V8 juice and gatorade my doc said that helps..I was surprised by the v8 because all the sodium but apparently its reccomended.. We are all thinking of you honey..

Em
Your thoughts are very normal honey.. You have been through alot and your fears can get the best of us.. Try to relax.. Just think all the IUI's have been great for your doc since now they know how you respond to things so this stiming cycle is going to go so very well.. Try to keep up the PMA honey we are thinking of you and I just know it will go well...

Kd
Thanks for popping in.. Saskia is such a sweety... How old.... How cute....I love the puppy so much. He is such a goof ball but so sweet and cuddley.. I love your ticker it makes me smile just to see it.. My scan is tomorrow I am excited and nervous.. I am having some pulling type cramps but I have read that is normal.. I am trying to stay calm...

Vero
How are you honey.. Did AF show her ugly face.. How are you feeling honey :D

Carolyn
You sound so positive and really happy.. Focused but not overly I bet this will be the best cycle for you yet.. How are you feeling.. So the acc person is really focusing this cycle right? How exciting..

Love and hugs

Hello everybody,

Laura,
thinking of you! I hope it all went super well. I am sure it did. With the whole stimulation working so well this time your system is programmed for success!

Em,
I can so understand your fear. Yes, this is big. But there is also a big chance of it working. Don't think about it not working. That's what I did all the time. And it doesn't help. Maybe it doesn't even help with coping with a BFN. If ever ever there is a BFN you have plenty of time to cope with it afterwards. And it is always possible to cope. I hadn't thought I would be able to and for me the most important help was to make new plans. But right now just think about this time and try believing in it. Because no matter how scientific these procedures are - I am sure your feelings control a great deal about the outcome. We are here for you, Em! And another thing: you will definetly feel better on the stimulation medication. The whole down regulation, I don't know why, has something depressing to it. Who wants to feel like menopause when all you crave is having a child.. PMA, dear Em :!:

Carolyn,
wow, you're all busy again. I guess it's the best we can do while trying the natural way. Keeps my mind busy too.

Jackie,
I hope the flu has left again. And I hope you and the little one + the little furry one are very well again!

For me AF arrived in wonderful punctuality in Friday. At least that *#!! didn't let me wait and hope. But I am ok. More acu and herbs and baby dancing to come next month :)

Have a good Monday, dear ladies. Love,
Vero

I had my EC this morning. They got 15 eggs! I can't wait to hear how many of them fertilized.

Bad news is I that I haven't been feeling well this weekend: nausea, bloating and very poor urine output. I am hoping now that the retrieval is over, I will start to feel better. I really hate being nauseous!

As for the procedure, I guess the anesthetia wasn't strong enough and I actually woke up right in the middle of the retrieval and started asking my doctor a question!

I worked last night so I haven't been to sleep since yesterday morning, so I really need a nap, but I wanted to let you know how it went. I will definitely post tomorrow with my embryo update!
