Nicola - I too am paying for everything out of pocket including accupuncture which is $85 each time (and I've gone 3 times this week alone!). I think it has helped me, so I would go for it! Does your accup. doctor tell you no cold drinks and to keep your feet warm (i.e. no sandals) at all times?

I think I am doing EC on 25th. I hear from RE later today w/ news and timing for trigger shot. Per US this morning, I have 10 follicles (6 right, 4 left) ranging from 16.5 to 23.5 on right and 17 to 23.5 on left. How does this compare to you other gals in same timeframe (Cowgirl, Haylie, etc)?

Cowgirl - you are probably on meds to stop ovulation (ie Lupron). I always worry too that I will ovulate before going in for EC, but the drugs will keep you from ovulating.

Jovigal-- Welcome!!! Yes, you are right downregging is when you are on Lupron or something similar. I am 31 and 2 is all they will transfer also. Glad you found us, if you have a question on the terminology just yell and someone will answer!!! Good luck with your cycle!!

jordan22---Yeah that shot was a piece of cake FOR YOU!!! LOL!! How much extra folic acid should you take???

Jeck.. I take about 800 to 1600 extra a day... you can buy JUST folic acid.. I take 800 of that and then the 800 that is in my Pre Nates... I also take folgaurd (for my MTHFR) and that has some in it as well.. lol

I feel like time is dragging.... UGH 18 more days until I can start Lupron..

Oh Yah! I did my first two injections tonight! They were not bad, but there was a two hour period between them and I was going insane with worry! My hubby nearlly fainted when he accidentally walked in while I was mixing the Repronex . Anyway, I did it all by myself and it wasn't bad at all. I am officially stimming now! Also, my E2 levels were right on target and we even had a great surprise. My FSH went way down! It was 10.4 during all of the testing they did, but this morning it came in at 6.6! Hopefully my eggs will respond!

Anyway, Jeck I am so glad we started together. On the exact same day even. I guess this means our babies will be due at the same time too! I am so excited. I know this is going to be our cycle! Good Luck darling.

Hi Girls

Lori - I went for my scan on Friday and I have 18 follies although the ones on my left ovary are much smaller so not sure how many they will retrieve. I am having ec on Tues am and am really excited, I feel like after all this time, I'm finally on my way. Just a quick ?, I have to tkae my trigger shot tonight at 9pm and also have 1 more dose to take of my suprecur, can I take them the same time or does it need to be separate?

Cowgirl - how did the scan go? Have been thinking of you

good morning all! I have a question, did any of you have any side effects with the Lupron? I'm so excited to get started. This is almost as bad as the 2ww...well maybe not that bad.

I wish all of you the best with your cycles.

BTW, it looks like Jordan22 and I are cycling the same. We can compare notes if you don't mind...

JenJ...Yep, I will have blood drawn for hormone levels, and given a written plan for meds on Tuesday. Also have to do a urine pregnancy test. Then, I will start Follistim depending on the results from the scan, and "the overall IVF schedule". I think they're planning on starting the stims on that or the next day based on the schedule they've already provided. I over-stimulated on Clomid and my lining was pretty thin (just on 25 mgs!), so I’m worried about starting the stims…Do you have any similar concerns with the stims coming?

Jovigal…I haven't been doing too bad on Lupron except my bbs are killing me (that started with the BCP’s though, but is a bit worse now), they've increased an entire cup size (when you start out as a D that's not good news), and I've been constipated. There has been the occasional hot flash, but nothing unbearable.

Jeck...On all the materials from my clinic, they say, "You should be taking a prescription prenatal vitamin with Folic acid 1 mg."...I know that you can get that without a prescription, but hope the quantity info helps..?

Thanks for sharing Charity. ? - why do they put some women on BCP and not others? My RE didn't put me on them before starting Lupron. Also, what happens if you were to become pregnant prior to starting Lupron, will the meds be harmful? Sorry, I'm full of questions....

Haylie - not sure about suprecur? I don't take it. Is it like Lupron? If so, I take the trigger shot (HCG) and Lupron on same night (the RE tells me the exact time for HCG). I did the Lupron at the same time as every other night. They should not be mixed into same shot, if that was a question. Good luck with EC - 18 follies is so promising! You should be very excited! Let me know how many fertilized, etc. later this week and I'll do the same.

hummmmm not sure about your question about getting PG.. ask your RE... I have been on BCP since my last IVF failed.. so no chance for me to be PG.. LOL I have been on only active BCPs for 2 months now so no AF for me.. LOL

Welcome Jovigirl- its a great feeling to get started!

Lori we should be doing egg collection on the same day. I am due to have egg collection @ 11:15 on the 25. I only have 8 follicals 7 of which are good size. So I am hoping to get at least 6 good eggs. The doc said they hope for at least double digits but it is quality not quantity that matters.

cmoscar- it is a great feeling to get started isn't it. You are well on your way now!

Haylie- you are so sweet I have been thinking about all my fellow pin cusions! There are 3 of us that are having EC on Monday

Well I am excited for all of us! I will try to check in tomorrow, but it depends on how I feel. Let me know how you other ladies do tomorrow.

Thanks guys. Feeling a bit better today but will feel even better when I have spoken to clinic and know the plan. Had a good cry in the bath last night to get it all out but guess there will be a few more days when I feel like that!
