Hey girls!! Welcome new ladies!!

I have been away for the weekend and I see you all have been busy posting!

Cowgirl, Lori, Malinka I am so excited for you! I hope everything goes well. Take care of yourselves...and then I want to know all about it. Does it hurt? How long do you have to stay at the hospital? How many eggs? All that stuff!

ampmed, cmoscar, jeck- we are all stimming together how is it going?

I went to the Dr. today for my U/S and bloodwork. I am waiting for them to call and let me know if I should up my Gonal to 225IU. The nurse said there was a chance of that. She saw 2 good follicles on each side and 3 little ones on each side. Hopefully they grow!

Nance, I'm sorry about your cyst, but once they get rid of it- you will be free and clear and on your way!! Good luck Wednesday.

Hi ladies,how is everyone??

Just wanted to share something positive with you,when i first started cramping with my first ivf,i typed it into internet,and up popped this forum,so i asked for advice,well ive made a few great friends thru this site,and realised one person in particular is from Aberdeen too,her first ivf failed in May too(sure she wont mind me sharing this with you) Well she is on the Sep thread as she has just done her 2nd cycle,well she got a BFP,after she was bleeding slightly,and she had given up hope,her user name is Moritsha,her name is Paula and we've met for a diet coke and she is a lovely lady,i cried last week when she pm'd me her BFP,it makes you realise when it happens to someone you know,that positives do happen and we all have to keep the faith,out time will come..

I can start! At last. Feels like I have been waiting forever! The clinic are sending all the dates through but EC is booked for 15th Nov (seems like ages away) so guess I'll be a Nov buddy too!

Oh Ladies,after posting my last post,checked in again coupla hours later,i always check our thread and the Sep thread,im so so sorry to say that my friend i told you about Paula,has sadly lost her baby..ive spent last half hour crying,what an absolute nightmare to get a BFP,then have it taken away,im so devestated for her..

Nicola, I'm sorry to hear that. I can't imagine how awful she must feel. To go through all the roller coaster of IVF and think you've got there and then have it taken away. Thinking of her and take care of yourself too x

Ok- the nurse just called and my estrogen was only 27.1
They are upping my GonalF to 225, I was doing 150 a day. Also- now I have to do 3 vials of Repronex instead of 2. Is this normal? Why isn't my estrogen going up? I think earlier this morning they said if it wasn't above 50 she would up my dose. What if it doesn't go up? Has anyone else had this? I go back on Thursday for a scan and bloodwork. I hope this gets better...should I be nervous??

Please do not worry! It will not help, but it can hurt. Your RE knows what he or she is doing. If they upped the dose, then it should help to up your E2. Do not worry because you started on a low dose. I have just started and my dose is 225 to begin with. Good luck on Thursday, the U/S should be very informative.

I am so sorry to here about Mortisha. I was following her thread earlier. I have had 6 m/c and I know it never gets easier. I greive for each and everyone of my little angels. I do take comfort in knowing they are in a better place and playing with each other in the same place as my loving Grandhfathers. I know God has a purpose for them and it was more inportant for them to be there. Hopefully, both you and Paula will con to terms. It seems that the IVF process is one with great highs and lows and we must all face it at some point or another.

As you can see, I am down. I seem to have a really bad headache and I am feeling slow. I have call my RE, but she was unavailable and will call me back. Has anyone else had this while taking Gonal-F and Repronex? I am a little worried because I cannot take anything for it and I still have to drive home.

Thank you Racheal. You calmed me down a bit. I am glad you mentioned how you feel too. I have had a headache all day. I feel foggy. Like I couldn't move quickly if I wanted to! I have been laying around all day. Very lazy, but I just don't seem to have much energy. I am hoping it is because of a busy weekend maybe?? Drive home carefully!

You helped me too! I was not sure as if it was normal, but I feel better now. As far as getting home, worst case I can hitch a ride home and have hubby return for the car. Get lots of rest! I can't wait for the IVF to be over and then I can start wrapping things up at work. I will be staying home once the baby is born. I stayed home for my last one and it was bliss. In fact, it is the one thing I still miss. My sons miss me being home as well since they no longer have their homework helper!

Oh well, I am going to pack it up and go home early.

Hello ladies,

If you don't mind, I would like to join the October buddies. I haven't been on here for a while, needed a break from all the consuming thoughts I guess. I'm back though and ready to start this rollercoaster ride again. I start my shots tonight so am a little scared and excited. After getting the BFP last time only to m/c a few weeks later was really difficult. I was so sure it was going to happen last time. I'm trying to be as positive as possible but don't want to get my hopes up to much for fear of the same outcome.

I had a strange thing happen to me with my last cycle. The night before EC I ended up ovulating. My Dr. has been doing this for 33 years and said he has never had that happen before. Luckily he was able to retrieve 3 perfect eggs and they all fertilized and were transfered back to me. Initially one took but then I lost it. I feel as though my ovulating had something to do with it but don't know for sure. I'm just so scared that it will happen again this time but my Dr. says he is going to make sure it doesn't. This is all just so hard emotionally. I'm pretty tough so physically it doesn't bother me but the ups and downs are extreme.

Hi gals - I had my EC earlier today (6:30am). I did not sleep well last night b/c I was worrying about everything even though this is my 3rd time. Everything went well. My RE got 11 eggs - at least one will probably not be mature enough as we only had planned on 10 (but she gets all of them just in case). Now, I wait to hear from her tomorrow night about how many fertilized, etc. and get ready for Thurs. ET. Thanks for all your well wishes. I am pretty sore and have some slight bleeding, but otherwise good - glad to have the EC done and moving on. I just hooked up wireless Internet access last week so I can use my computer on the couch! I think this well help my 7 day bed/ house rest go faster! My RE is really strict - she does a 4 day strict bed rest (no shower, etc) and then 3 more days house rest.

For you ladies that are getting the headaches with GonalF that is a common side effect, I learned. It does get better as your body adjusts, but lots and lots of water is imprortant!

I had my egg collection today. They were able to retrieve 7 mature eggs. I will find out tomorrow how many fertilized and getting ready for my Thursday transfer. The process went pretty good. I had IV sadation with amnesia med. I don't remember a thing and it wasn't bad at all. I spent about 30 minutes getting back to my feet. I didn't have any bleeding and feel pretty good. A bit tender but otherwise real good. Since I didn't get as many eggs as others usually do, likely due to my age, I will be on pins and needles till I here the fertilization % and quality.

Well I am going to get offline now.

Believebaby, welcome back I am sorry you last experience ended the way it did, I know I too would be devestated!

Lori-- 11 eggs!! WooHoo!!! Great Job!!! Can't wait to hear your report tomorrow!! Man your RE is strict that is a long time with out a shower Thank goodness none of us can smell you while we are chatting!!! LOL!! It will be worth it though!!!

BelieveBaby-- WELCOME BACK!!! Good Luck on your cycle!! I know that just getting a BFP isn't the end of our worries, its just the beginning. Its very hard to be excited for a new cycle when you have lost one, but we will never know if we don't try and this could be the one for you!!! I will add you to our ever growing list!!

cmoscar and jenn-- I have been so tired today... I don't remember being this tired with my first cycle. I was on gonal f the first time and this time I am on follistim. I am so ready for this week to be over with so I can be at home and get some rest!!

Jenn-- don't worry about the dosage. They started you off slow because of your age. It is easier to go up then to go down. I started off on 225 1x day with my first cycle then went up to 300 (150 2xday) after my first scan. This time I am starting off at 300 (150 2xday) and getting monitored sooner, tomorrow!!! I have no idea how many I had at my 1st scan so I can't compare, but I don't care I love seeing the follies because just maybe 1 or 2 of them will decide to become my babies!!!

CasyP-- I am so excited that you are ready to start!! WooHoo!! Let me know your plan when you get it so I can update you on the list!!!! Now don't go and leave us completely for the Nov. thread, you can be a thread hopper like me!!!

Cowgirl and Malinka-- Hope all went well with your EC!! Let us know a report when you can!! Like now!!! What is taking you so long!! LOL!!

Nictor-- My dear friend! I know I was devastated by Paula's news too! I know how she feels and it is so hard. We can't give up hope thou, we have to keep marching on and keep praying hard!!
