Hi All!
I'm 42 and have been through 3 cycles of IUI after about 8 mos of TTC: no results. I just ended my first IVF cycle. I responded wonderfully to the stimulation: 16 eggs were extracted, 14 of which fertilized! Then we did a PGS test for aneuploidy. Sadly, every last one of these embryos has chromosome errors, so we had to cancel the transfer.
So all along I've been feeling happy and optimistic because my baseline FSH is low and because my ovaries make lots and lots of eggs in response to realtively low levels of stimulation. But now I feel like I've run into a brick wall. I have a consultation next week w/ my IVF doc. He sez that even if this last batch was all abnormal, it doesn't necessarily mean the next one will be. I guess all we need is one good one.... but I'm beginning to understand what a long shot it really is...
I'm ready to try another cycle, but no longer so optimistic about my prospects for pregnancy with my own eggs.... does anyone else out there have experience with PGS to share?
Thanks and belssings to all... Kat
Hi Kat, wow im so sorry thats such an awful thing to go through your Dr sounds amazing that you wernt left doing several cycles wondering if it was something you ate or did...i know that must be small consolation to you..but you have an answer now you need the fix for it... can they up your meds safley to get more eggs and a better chance of good embie? has your husband been tested for the problem being on his side rather than yours or was it your eggs tested or embies?
i hope you get your little blessing ...next time a few good embies for you too..
hugs Aunty
