Hi everyone.
I am finally on this side of the forum! I had GIFT on 10 July and am having 1 precious baby! I had severe Hyperstim (again!) and was in hospital for a week to regulate fluid levels. But i am here...almost 13 weeks along and so relieved that the scans have shown the baby to be healthy and perfect. I have had horrendous morning sickness. Pretty much around the clock actually. But that seems to be abating a little. Apart from that...I can't wait to feel the baby move! Until then, I'm seeing my gynae every second week. Too anxious to wait the usual month between consults! Also, I am already HUGE! Can't fit into normal pants any more, so am already in maternity clothes! Anyone else showing already? Well...glad to be here and I hope our pregnancies are joyous and exciting!

Michelle, I haven't had a bit of sickness. My only symptoms are sheer exhaustion (anytime I am not at work, I am sleeping) and already uncomfortable in my clothes. I need to go find some maternity pantyhose to ease my pains! Also, I am starving every two hours. I am constantly hungry therefore constantly eating. This may be the true reason why I can't fit my clothes.
Lana, congratulations on your pregnancy! Glad to meet you on this side.

Take care all,
Dione

Hey everyone...hope all is going well!@

Dione...

My only symptoms are going to the bathroom....alot ...during the night and not getting comfortable while sleeping.

Keeping a pillow in between my legs and sleeping on my left side is heaven! I read in one of my books that it is better to sleep on your side rather than your back. Keeps the oxygen flowing to the babies.

Have a great day ladies!

Hi ladies,
Hope you are all well. Michelle, I am getting so sick of getting up 3 times during the night to go. I feel your pain!
Lucy-I am no longer on any horomones. I got to quit the Estradiol, PIO, and pressaries. Its awsome!!! Its been a week and a half and my booty still hurts, but getting better. I keep forgetting I'm pregnant. I don't know if its neccesarily forgetting, but I just keep saying in my head, oh yeah, I'm pregnant!! Belly is beginning to swell. I am starting to finally settle into the thought and reading the books and all of that.

Happy and Healthy to all of us!!

Welcome Lana, we are excited to have you here with us!

I just got back from my first official ob-gyn appointment with a midwife and I am so pleased. She wanted to do another u/s and this week I got a much better photo. The baby's arm and leg buds were visible, which was very exciting to see. Everything measured perfectly for 9 weeks. She said if I hadn't told her how far I was that she would have told me I was 9 weeks. I took that as a good sign for my baby!

Riley, I am so jealous of you... no more hormones. I have 3 weeks to go... hanging tough.

Hope you all are well and are taking good care of yourselves.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the welcome! I stopped my meds at 9 weeks. YAY! It's so great not to have to "pesserise". My next ob/gyn appt is on thurs 5 Oct. I am too paranoid to wait 4 weeks bet appointments, so my dr said she'd see me every two weeks until I can feel the baby moving. It's funny how you start to LIVE for those appointments. I got my blood results back today for my risk for Down's Syndrome. That, together with my Nuchal fold exam puts me into a 1 in 3000 category. So it's a huge relief and looking good. Anyway....couldn't sleep so thought i'd check in here and say hi. It is 4:45 am and I haven't had a wink to sleep. Ladies...I can so relate running to the loo every half hour. For a trickle. You feel like you're going to burst and then hardly anything comes out! It's so irritating. :?

It is SO annoying! I have learned to control my bladder during my waking hours but not at all overnight. I was always the one who would need to go during the night, but refused. I would hold it all night even if it interupted my sleep (lazy, I know). But now, not a chance. I think I've been getting up 4 times a night. Oh well, guess it prepares us for what is to come!
I am reading a book about expecting twins, triplets, and quads (can't remember the name) but in it is says that the uterus of a woman who is expecting twins is the same as a woman who is 8 weeks further along with a singleton pregnancy! Amazing! No wonder I can't stay off the toilet.
Anyhow, glad to see everyone with good news. Keep it coming!

Hi to everyone -
I had my third ultrasound today and everything was fine - heartbeat is at 178, which initially worried me as it was 182 last week and I thought for some reason it would keep going up until now (9 weeks) and then start dropping, but according to the MDs, it is fine as it is definitely strong and fast enough and should just stay anywhere from 120 to 180 or 190 throughout the pregnancy. The baby was 24 mm and the MD said that she could see some arm movement, which I couldn't really discern on the grainy ultrasound that they have. They told me that dates to 9 weeks exactly and I am 9 weeks, 1 day so I initially started worrying (in spite of their reassurance) but then realized that I was stressing about 1mm and 4 heartbeats per minute and decided I was being a little silly. My next ap't is with the OB on October 12.
As far as symptoms, I have been feeling slightly quesy and once threw up without even having been nauseaous, which was weird, but, embarassingly, my biggest symptoms have been burping and farting! I didn't expect that at all. No excessive peeing but I have gotten some bad leg cramps and foot cramps in the middle of the night.
I still really can't believe that I am here!
