Malinka - I'm using Repronex (2 vials) once a day. Same as what I used last time which seems to work well. I had about 7 follicles on my left and 5 on right when I did my first U/S yesterday. I actually am doing progesterone suppositories once I do ET. Has anyone else used these? I thank God I don't have to do those shots too as they sound brutal! I'm so sick of being poked! How are you feeling?? Hope those babies are sticking like glue!! Take it easy and think positive thoughts.

Jenn - that is so funny about the circles on your butt. Kind of like a bulls eye!! That was a very smart move. My husband thought it was so funny when the instructions said to visually divide my butt into quandrants. We always joke about my booty and say it has mystical powers. My husband is such a joker but constantly makes me laugh except of course when he injecting the needle in my butt!!

Everyone have a great Friday. I'm so glad the weekend is almost here!!!

Oh, i guess we are using different protocols, because only my progesterone shots are intramuscular.
well, I heard that progesterone gel is a pretty messy thing, but I guess it is better then shots! I cant sit on my bun  it hurts!

when is your EC scheduled? Good Luck and lots and lots of baby dust!~~

Malinka- The number is the # of cells of the embryo. At day 3, I think 6 cells or more is ideal. See this website, I think it had good info http://www.advancedfertility.com/embryoquality.htm and pics.

Cowgirl - My doctor felt strongly for me that I needed all 4 to get BFP given my history. age and issues with m/c . She also thinks that the embryos responded better with more transferred (she's noticed that somehow thye seem to help each other, but it's not scientifically proven. She has also noted this while they are in petri dishes. They seem to do better if they are all in the same petri dish rather than their own). I'm sure your Dr. made the right call for you - they are so good at this stuff.

Wishing all of our embryos are busy implanting!

Aunty...My first scan is scheduled for Oct 2nd. The plan is EC on the 10th and ET on the 13th...So I think we're still on the same schedule...Did I write my EC was on the 13th?? If I did, I meant my ET... Sorry... :o)

Since you said it was okay to ask you anything...I am taking Follistim, and Believebaby has me a little worried that I'm not injecting them in the right place. I've been doing them on the outside of my thighs...But what's strange, is this is only my second day, but I have the exact same backache she was describing. I thought it was my sciatica, which only acts up if I've pulled it, and I haven't done anything that could have caused the pain I'm in...I'm at work, but honestly don't know how much longer I can hold out...Sitting isn't horrible, but standing and walking is almost impossible...Is this because I'm injecting in the wrong spot...Even if I am, how could my thighs be causing inflammation in my lower back? I thought I had ruled out the stims doing it, because it's only my second day on them, and this started hurting last night...What are the chances that I could be effected this fast, so was sure this couldn't be related..? Now I'm not so sure...I'm confused, but could really use some advise if anyone has any...??

My stims are intramuscular and the cetrotide shot (to prevent ovulation) is like a diabetic needle and not intramuscular. I've heard the progesterone shots are the worst  I'm sorry for those of you who have to endure yet another shot! The suppositories aren't bad, I do them at bedtime. Definitely beats another shot in the butt!

I'm supposed to have EC next Thurs. or Fri. so can hardly wait. I'll be happy when I'm finished with both EC and ET. I had a tough time with the EC last time and was in a lot of pain afterwards. It got better though after about 2 days. Seems we are all so different and each time we do it can be so different.

Aunty, I know what you mean about feeling like IVF is just a part of your life now. I certainly haven't been doing it as long as you but it takes so much organization, thought and planning. It's hard not to think about it all the time (whens my next shot, when's my next appt., what can I do/can't I do, etc. etc.). My feeling is that we all will appreciate being a mother so much more than most do. The women that just get pregnant brushing up against their DH's are so so lucky!!!

We will truly appreciate the blessing we will receive! I wish all of us success with this journey. It will be worth every second!

Hey charity... i always do all my shots (except prog) in my tummy always..the reason i do this is my friends who have done IVF and both had babys (also nurses) did there shots in the tummy even now im on three a day i do my Gonal am on one side then for my evening i do my Gonal on the opposite side and Lupron on the am Gonal side ...it doesnt hurt at all on my tummy i just get little bruises other than that i have no problem also its easier to rub the site afterwards to spred the meds....
could it be the postion you get in to administer the shot has strained your back? without even thinking about it you could have pulled it? i doubt the meds are causing the pain ...

i hope this helped a little...hugs..

oh yeah we are on the same days...EC 10th ET 13th...ooo i have a date buddy...do you do your PT 12dpt?

Okay...One more question...I was wondering how my clinic's CDC stats were. Just wondering if I went with the right clinic. I was looking at the website that Lori posted, and I had been there before, but never noticed their stats for some odd reason...I live a couple hours from Chicago, which makes me wonder if I am going to wrong place. Mine only has a 41.9% of Transfer Resulting in Live Births compared to their 66%!! Wondering if the drive would be worth it..? Is my clinic pretty bad? Here's the link to their CDC report...Any feedback would be appreciated...Thanks again, ladies...

When you are on the outside looking in, time seems like an eternity. But now that the whole process is in motion time seems to be flying by in some aspects! :-) I am so tickled to feel so close to all of you wonderful ladies in the October thread. I look at least a hundred times a day waiting for a new post to see how someone is doing! I am so obsessed with it I wonder if maybe it is not healthy but too late, I am adicted. :-)

I can't wait to see everyone's results as they start trickling in and it is so neat to be right there with 3 other woman! :-)

Lori, my doc actaully suggested the oposite. This was his argument that persuaded me not to do 3 - 8 cell even though I didn't like the idea of just discarding one on religious believes ( I should have stood up to him) I have actually prayed for forgiveness for not accepting what God blessed me with.
Okay back to doc argument. He said that our embroys were obvisouly good quality and if my endometrus was not ready for them for whatever reason (meds, heriditary, etc) that no matter how many eggs we put in there they would not stick. He also said that even if one sticks the more that the body has to absorbe the more toxic it makes the environment. Who knows but I wish I would have put all the 8 cells back in and let God make his decision.

Lots of little mircals for us all!

Aunty...Thanks for the quick feedback...I'm almost positive I'm 12 dpt, too! I'll have to check for sure when I get home...I'll post later today when I look over the paperwork...Silly me, I haven't even thought of that step yet...Thanks for the tip on the belly shots. I'll have to start doing that...I was wondering if that made a difference. I remember reading a post that mentioned it might work better there, but regardless, if the pain is less, I'm all for it...Hey...JennJ is on our schedule too, I think...JennJ? Is yours the same, too?

On the whole back thing, I don't think I could have strained it giving the shots, so I must have just jarred it without even knowing it...I get worried, cause my right ovary is in a weird position, behind my uterus, & is in a tight spot, so I get good pain on that side when I ovulate (which is the same side I've got the back pain on), so was almost wondering it & the ute could be swelling from the stims & causing pressure on my spine, but I'm glad to hear that it's not the stims...I wouldn't want them to cancel my cycle...I need to stop posting...This is my third one today!! Enough already...I'll start using the pms...Sorry for those who are having to sift through these...Take care all & baby dust to all...

Here's wishing everyone a great weekend and plenty of baby dust for everyone.

Girls on the 2ww rest, relax and let your DH's spoil you rotten... you need those embies to stick.

Girls who sre stimming.... good luck and I hope all your scans show many follies.

As for me... Tuesday couldn't come any sooner... yesterday was a great day for me (all smiles), but today is not so good. I'm very moody, feel very fat and am very tired. Are these all good signs?

Well hopefully tomorrow will be better....

Take care ladies...

Hi All,

I hope everyone is doing well.

I just heard back from my Dr. and I will be starting my Stims toninght. Jeck can you add me to your next updated list? They told me to drop my Lupron down to 10 units and to take 300 of Follistim. Is anyone else taking that dosage? Is that normal?

Sorry for no personals but I am at work and don't have too much time. I will catch up with personals later.

All my best. Have a great weekend.
