Hello

This is my first posting and really I am doing this for my wife. We are starting IVF and I'll start her bum injections this week I hope(cannot wait!).

She loves this site and posts regularly. She can think of nothing other than IVF at the moment and her productivity at work is not very good. I have told her to relax and have said I bet everyone is the same. If you are willing to give an example of how preoccupied you are lately please do. I am hoping to gather a collection of silly stories that everyone can laugh at.
Hello Andy,

Welcome to the site!

What is it with your wierdo husbands that get such a kick out of sticking pins in us??? My dh gets far to over-excited for my liking when it comes to injections. The thought of letting him do one in my bum fills me with total dread!

My productivity at work is rarely good, but especially poor whilst on the tmt. Good job I'm the boss and can't get fired really!! I'm on my 2ww and test tomorrow, so the chances of me doing anything are pretty unlikely.

Good luck with your tmt.

nikola.xx
Hello Andy,

I am sure I speak for a lot of people going through this that you do get very preoccupied. I have become a bit of an "amatuer fertility expert" and have had some strange conversations with people at work - in fact they used to ask me questions all the time. I think the funniest was when I told my male boss in a very matter of fact way that I was going for egg collection the next day. He went a little pale at the thought!!

I have found comfort in some "alternative" medicines. I have found both acupuncture and reflexology helpful to relax me and carry various crystals with me religiously.

The first cycle will be difficult as you won't know what to expect and, of course, will be very excited. It does get easier, I am on number 5 now, but there are lot of postings from girls who made on there first go.

I would certainly recommend this site. When you are having a mad panic about something, or are feeling down, there is always someone with some helpful advice.

Good luck to you and your wife.
Karen
