Hello All,

Justine your weekend sounded lovely. We've never been to Linton Zoo, I've heard lots of good reports. Good you've got Friday off. What are you planning to do?

Tammy how are you? Hope that cold has eased. Unfortunately it is one of those things you get in the second trimester, stuffed up noses! I know what you mean about it all being so overwhelming, there are so many things to buy on the market. Take your time, go to the shops a few times, look on line, even talk to other mum's, especially if you see one you really like, there may be something about it that doesn't quite work if you know what I mean. I was really particular about what I wanted so when I found it we bought it straight away. It's been in the loft for about 8 weeks already!

Kareen I sorry you're suffering already. Yes it is normal and you will be even worse as there are two in there. Keep your legs elevated for as long as you can. Don't overdo anything, just listen to your body. It also didn't help the job you did, at least now you can take it easy and enjoy watching your babies move around. Is the size of your fundus normal at this stage because there's two? I know with Jodie at 30 weeks I was measuring 54 but that was because she was large and I had polyhydramnios (excess fluid to you and me), this is common in diabetic mum's.

Did he say why you may have blood in your urine? Urine infections are really common in pregnancy, I know I usually get about 3-4 so I hope you're aren't worrying too much about it.

Hi Dania, welcome and congratulations. Could your breathing problems relate to the problems you had previously? It is common to get out of breath. I would definately suggest it next time you see your midwife/doctor. Have you tried eating little and often? Maybe this might help.

Both you and Kareen shouldn't moan or feel guilty about complaining. That's what we are here for, we've all done it and if we haven't we will!

I'm ok. I started on my steriods Monday and will be on them for 10 weeks. I've started calling the baby bam bam! The side effects are weight gain, excess fluid, puffiness, frequent urination - just sounds like pregnancy to me! I'm already getting up every hour to go for a wee, it's always at 14 minutes past the hour. I thought it was suppose to ease up a little in the second trimester.

Going for my 16 weeks bloods today. My next appointment is next Thursday with the consultant.

The girls are all good. Hannah (the eldest) has been suspended from school for 3 days for attacking Alice (the seond one) - teenagers, why can't children just stay little and cute!

Right best have a shower and get the pickle up for pre-school. Emma's been up since 5.30!

Speak soon, hope you are all good

Jo

Jackie congratulations I'm so so happy for you.

suspended from school?...well make her do all the housework and fetch you what you need!!!!!
well from now on im going to be a lady of pleasure.... oops..i meant leisure :P ... i will miss work but being on my feet for 6 hours at a time was killing me... i already have a sore back but being on my feet in that restruant was taking its toll.... as for blood in urine... he said it could be the start of a urine infection or 'just one of them things'...he sent it to the lab.... he also gave me 'pee sticks' ... i was shocked when he said fundus was measuring 30cm.... he said its normal for carrying twins.. i dread to think the size i will be by christmas... my small frame wont take it... im 5ft 2 and will resemble an oompa lumpa come xmas... ..

Hey Jezz, that is so weird I was just thinking of you today, wondering how you're doing! Congratulations on your little girl, let the pink glow begin!! We don't have scans at 16 weeks, have to wait until 20 weeks. I have the consultant nexd Thursday and as I'm now on steriods I'm kind of hoping he may scan me earlier. But because I really want to know what it is they will probably have their legs shut!

Enjoy Florida you lucky thing.

Hi Justine, have you tried Colchester Zoo? It's wonderful, we tend to go there most of the time. I had one of my nicest days ever when we went there last summer.

No I've not got any plans this weekend. Paul started his shift today, he does two days then four nights so he will either be working or sleeping. Having problems with my oldest girl at the moment. I think my blood pressure must be sky high. The police have just arrested her for criminal damage as she threw a large candle at my bathroom mirror and there's now glass everywhere! When it rains it pours!!

lol Kareen you always make me smile, you'll be an oompa lumpa come xmas but I think I'm going to be voilet once she's turned into a blueberry -but a pink version!

Going off to sulk, I wish I could have a bacardi and coke!

Speak soon

Take care

Pebblesuk,

Hey there!! Im glad to see your doing so good! I thought the same thing that the baby would have it's legs closed but, instead her leg was in the air! lol So dont worry you will find out soon! I only went for a 16 week scan to check out the lining of my uterus and i cheated and asked the dr. if he could see what it was! But, I go back for a 20 week scan to get the level 2 scan done! Well it was so nice to see your response and I wish you lots of luck through the rest of your pregnancy! I know we all just pray that we have healthy babies but, do you have a preference on what sex you want? Chat soon.

Just popping in to say 'Hi'!

Don't know where the time is going - work is keeping me busy so I'm not getting on here much. Can't wait until I'm off, then maybe I'll get a chance to catch up properly.

Had a wee scare this week, so am off until Monday... Trying to take it easy for once.

Hope all is well with everyone

Hello All

Hope you are all doing well.

Zoe I'm sorry to hear about your scare. There are far too many "problems" that can occur during pregnancy, you lose all your dignity and that's before you even get to the labour! Take it easy and I hope that's the end of that problem for you.

Kareen as per usual you made me smile. My little chav is home again, she spend 6 hours in a cell and has to go back on 1 November for a warning. We are friends again :) What's it like being a lady of leisure then? Have you done any internet shopping??

Vita how are you? I hope everything is ok and you're not too bored now you're home all the time.

Justine I hope you had a relaxing day off today and your journey to Shropshire is a good one. Weather doesn't look too great at the moment but it's clearing.

Tammy how's you? Hope everything is ok with you too.

You know just when I think things can't get any worse I start getting lower abdominal craps and spotting! Was in A&E until 1 this morning. Everything seems ok. My cervix is long and firm but my urine shows signs of an infection, they've sent it off to grow things on it! My blood pressure was 153/93 so I guess it was just the stress of the day and my body telling me to slow down.

They sent me for a scan today. Baby looked good, heart was beating nicely, the head was measuring 16 weeks and 3 days so that's good. I asked if she could see what it was and she said we weren't here for that. Don't you just love people with job satisfaction! But the little one is ok and that's the main thing.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend.

Speak soon

Jo

Happy Saturday Ladies!

I slept in this morning. It felt wonderful. The weather is starting to change here, as the leaves are changing from green to reds, oranges and yellows. I love Fall!

Jo: You poor thing. I bet you were scared to death. I cannot believe that the person doing the scan would not look and tell you the sex of your baby. Who cares if that was not the reason that you were there. You just had a major scare and that person could have been compassionate to your situation. With all of the girls in your household, I bet a boy would be nice. Thanks for the shopping advice. I have calmed down and am trying to enjoy it. My good friend has been giving me advice, as she delivered this past May. My cold is doing better, but still not completely gone.

Zoe: Take care of yourself. Those scares must just be a way for our bodies to tell us to take it easy.

Jess: I'm glad everything is going well with you. Congrats on your baby girl!

Danielle: We will all be joining you in the future.

Kareen: How are you? I hope you backache is doing better. Wow, off for 4 weeks, you must be a lady of leisure now. You better take it easy.

Dania: Welcome to our site. I too had a natural pregnancy after 2 failed IVF's. DH and I think it was a miracle. Our due dates are close, as mine is March 3rd. I have trouble going up stairs too, as I get winded easily.

Justine: How are you doing?

Vita: I hope everything is going well for you and your triplets. When is your next scan. I have one this Thursday. DH will get to see the little guy on the big screen.

Take care all,
Tammy

Thanks Jo and Tammy for your replies. What's dignity? LOL. I lost all of mine ages ago... LOL. You are right about taking it easy though - I think I've been a bit cocky about feeling well over the last month - that'll teach me...

Oh Jo, what a nightmare. At least you know the babe is ok. I spotted until 16 weeks off and on this time - although it is no consolation I know. Some women often bleed around the time there period would have been - could it have been that? It's good though if it is an infection that they found out now, so they can treat it quickly - I hope all is well anyway. Emotionally it'll have hit you hard I bet, so take it easy.

Hope everyone is well and taking it easy.

Hello Mummies

Hope you are all having a great weekend. The sun is shining, I have three loads of washing on the line, just stood for 2 hours doing the ironing and it's not even 10.30 yet! Hence the well deserved break for sitting on here!

Emma has started getting between 5.30 and 6 every day which I'm not too impressed about. During the summer holiday we were lucky to have her up by 9!

Tammy make the mosts of your lie-ins - fall is so pretty, my favorite season is spring and this spring we will all be pushing our little miricles around in their strollers!

I can't believe the lady wouldn't tell me the sex either. I think what a wonderful job she has, here I am after a scare and everything is ok with the little one, surely it would have given her so much pleasure in telling me what it was. I had Jodie and Hannah with me too. I couldn't have been on the bed for more than a minute and a half!

Hi Zoe, I've never experienced any bleeding ever in any of my pregnancies so it was quite worrying. I do tend to get lots of urine infections you are prone to them with diabetes without being pregnant, that just makes you even more prone to them!

Hayley I hope everything went smoothly for you yesterday and you don't have to take too long to get your internet connection! I hope the babes are behaving themselves. When's your next scan?

Hi Kareen you must be due for a scan soon??? It seems like ages ago you reported in on that side of things. Have you decided what you are going to do with regard to finding out the sex. Have you convinced Darren yet that it is in the best interest of the babies if you know what they are? lol

Internet shopping is great, especially when it's for baby stuff! I have a list but keep putting off buying more stuff as Paul keeps going on ebay and buying remote control trucks - I wouldn't mind so much but they are about £200 a go! And then he has to buy every spare part there is "just in case" but he gets a few of them! He does it when he's at work so I can't see. He's sleeping now (he's on nights) so I may just go and click away myself!

I'm sorry to hear your back is playing up, unfortunately I think it may be it now until they are born - sorry! Have you tried going swimming, that may ease it. I love swimming but hate getting dry afterwards!

Have any of you suffered night cramps yet? OMG it's agony. I don't know how I'm supposed to tilt my foot forward when the calf has gone into spasam, I just cried and cried and then hobbled about most of the day yesterday. I remember getting them with Emma, not nice

Have any of you had any cravings. I'm really craving something I just can't figure out what it is! Nothing is satisfying me at the moment. Oh well, don't I moan?! lol

Have a great Sunday

Speak to you soon

Jo

Happy Sunday ladies:

Kareen: Fall is gorgeous here! There are many trees behind my house and I can look out my window while I'm typing this post. You are right about not having a lot of time to lie around once the baby comes.

Jo: I've not had night cramps since I've been pregnant, but I have had them previously. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and rolling out of bed in pain. I have been having cravings too. Last week it was fruit! Yesterday it was for something sweet. We had nothing good in the house, so DH and I went to the market. I spent $90 on mainly sweets!

My DH is hooked on Ebay. He buys old pub clocks and Coca Cola clocks. I keep teasing him that I'm going to put a block on his computer to not allow it to go to Ebay.
