how long to wait

Hi ladies,
Hope you don't mind me joining you over here i have a quick question. Although I'm not ready to try for bub no. 2 since I only gave birth to my son by c section 4 weeks ago i thought I'd ask how long other ladies who have had a c sections had to wait before trying again. Is there a certain amount of time that you need to wait my next cycle will be a FET I'm not sure if you need to be stimmed for this or not. Any info would be great.

I know that with C-sections it is recommended that you wait 1 year after baby before TTC to give your body chance to recover. I asked my GP when I'll be able to have a FET and he said to wait one year and then if still serious to mention it to my clinic.
With FET you can do it with no drugs at all or you can have some drugs to get your uterus ready, but you dont use stimms as you dont need any eggs.
I'll be looking into this in January as I have 5 frosties and want more children.

Thanks for replying we appreciate your info. I actually rang my ivf doc who said that as long as I'm not breast feeding and I've had 2 visits from aunty flow since the birth we can start again. It's funny how the info we are told by different doctors vary isn't it. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. Take it easy and good luck with your next cycle.
