Hello Everyone!

I am officially jumping over to the 3rd trimester section!

I am glad to see everyone is doing great!

Sure feels funny to be in here. I remember looking at this thread and thinking It will be an eternity before I make it there. And look.. I blinked and here I am..

AS far as birth plans go.. This is my Thrid child. It has been 12 years since I was pregnant last time so my body has changed quite a bit.

I have never been one for pain and I chose epidurals for the last 2 and it was very very enjoyable! The only thing I didn't like about the epidural was not being able to get up and move till my legs were back to normal. I also had pitocin with both kids so that makes the contractions come on hard and strong! The other thing I will never laet them give me again is stadol, i tend to react to medications differently then other people and stadol was awful for me. They gave it to me to take the "edge" off my contractions and all it did was... Make me feel drunk and like I was going to fall off the bed.. But I could still feel everything and the pain was more intense.. LOL Nothing like being drunk AND in pain..

But as far as everything else I had great labors and I just hope this one goes as well.

Big hugs to everyone,

Danielle

Hello All,

I keep reading to see how you're all getting on. Some of you are really close now and I just wanted to wish you all the best.

Julie your blood pressure sounds ok. Although it's high for you they get concerned if the second number is above 90. And no, you will never stop worrying the worries just change!

I know I'm having a section again so I don't have to worry about a birth plan. I hope all of you have the labour you wanted but if you do need that gas and air or pethadine or even the epidural then just take it. Don't feel you've let yourself down, only your body will tell you what's right. Nothing will prepare you for the pain, it's going to hurt but it's got to come out!

Best of luck

Take care

Jo

MLG - long time since I have seen you on here! I have wondered how you are doing - glad everything is going well :)

Thanks to bella, traci, and everyone else that gave me their input on swelling and all that. I guess everyone is different. My little sis is pregnant right now too - she is due 3 weeks before me and she has hardly any swelling at all. I do notice that the swelling is less on the weekends - so I think most of it is a result of running around in uncomfortable shoes while I am at work.

Danielle - hey girl - WE ARE IN THE 3RD TRI!! HELL YEAH!!

Jessica - 2 lbs 13 oz!! Wow - he is progressing very nicely! How exciting.

Julie - Not much longer for you dear - you know all of the stuff you are going through now will be well worth it in the end.

Traci - I think about what my little girl will look like constantly. I am blonde hair/blue eye with fairer skin and my dh is brown hair/green eyes with darker skin. How our daughter will look is anyone's guess. I think she will look like him though - just a hunch. She kicks me and moves so much that I think she is going to be feisty like her momma. I just can't wait to meet her - but I will also miss the feeling of her moving around inside of me too. Does that sound weird?

Anyway - my work is done today and it is time for me to go home and kick my "cankles" up!

By everyone!

Hey all! Sorry, I don't have much energy to write personals to each of you. Also, there's lots of us again on this thread!! GREAT!

I started signs of pre-term labor yesterday. Got checked at the doc. And I'm on bed rest now. I'm dialated to one (I know by itself that doesn't mean much), having contractions sometimes 10 minutes apart, sometimes 1/2 hour apart, bleeding, and Baby A's head has moved down and is pushing against my cervix (guess he's ready to come out). This is all so weird!! Will it be 2 days or 2 weeks or 4 weeks? It's weird not knowing. I can tell you that I've had small signs all week and haven't felt quite right...so it wasn't a surprise to me. Funny how we know our bodies so well.

I'm hoping to keep them in for 2 more weeks to get me to 36 weeks. Hopefully bed rest will help with that. I'm now getting checked twice a
week (once at doc & once at the hospital for stress test).

Up till now I’ve not really had much to complain about and have been having a normal life as before pregnancy. :D Things seem now to be changing for the worse. :(
Starting yesterday I’ve been feeling very tired, with light-headedness in the mornings and shortness of breath. When doing anything more physical I feel my tummy contracting.
My Doc isn’t worried yet, thinks I’m just tired and reacting to the humid and warm air we’ve been having. :) Hope so. Image
Came home from work halfway through the morning today and am going to rest. Image

Hope everyone’s feeling great and looking forward to having your little bundles with you (on the outside) soon.

Kristi - hoping you get plenty of rest and that your impatient babes realise how comfy they are and stay put for another couple of weeks, i guess this is the tri were all the hospital visits really start.

MLG - Hoping you get lots of rest

Kristi -
I really hope the rest works for you. Keeping myself hydrated really helped with my contractions, as did staying off of my feet. Lots of activity would really rile things up. I hope you make it a few more weeks, but if not, I'm sure your little ones will be just fine. Just keep telling yourself that they wouldn't come out if they weren't ready Keep us posted and take care!

Thanks!! I think I have a trip to the hospital in sight for tonight. My contractions aren't close together (about 1/2 hour now), but I'm in so much pain. Is that normal? I can't stand up straight, my whole uterus/stomach is super tight and just hurts like crazy. I can't sit, lay, stand, recline...no position is working. So is this just "can't get comfortable" or is is more than that? I'm breathing heavy too (ooops, should have taken those birthing classes!) I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back. I feel very different than yesterday. Everyone is predicting that I'm in long term labor and real labor will start in the next day or so. Oh boy.... I mean....oh 2 boys (my twins).... :) If I don't write back over the weekend you'll know something is up!

Hi girls
Kirsti, hope things are all under control and going well for you. By all accounts it looks like you might be the first of us to take the big leap. Were all waiting with held breath.

Sue hope things are working out okay too with the tests and all.

Great to see so many people joining the thread.

Hope everyone is keeping well

wow everyone is really getting a long way along now
we think charlie had a show last friday, her b hicks contractions have been much stronger and regular since and baby has really dropped a lot since then
although sat pm he did completely dis engage for 10 mins then he went babck in again :?
she seems to be sleeping a lot less now and is relly getting very sore back, hips and pelvis
theres no room in bed for me
its all pillows behind her back in between her legs under the bump under her chest
looks like she been attacked by the pillow monster
we have both been working very hard on the house this weekend too getting everything ready just incase he does come early
its amazing how many jobs there are that need to be done
she makes a list and by the time i finnish it theres a new list   :?
its all worth it though
some of babys movements have been very very big toothink he is trying to get out thru her belly button he is very clever you see
he probably knows that it will be easier getting out thru belly than it will trying to navigate a route thru her cervix :? :?
we do hope you are all well and we will be paying particular close attention to all you oct due date girls we are the last on the list its so good to see every1s due date threads its been a long and windy path but we are all nearly there
take care all

Hi Ladies,

I apologize for not posting indivi...feeling tired and under alot of pressure..
Went to the DR last monday and everything looks and sounds ok, I'm measuring 4 weeks ahead and the DR thinks I will go into pre-term labor. I have an U/S today at 1pm will keep you all posted. I can barely walk now and what took me 3 minutes to walk somewhere now takes 6 or 7. KristiA I pray that you get some rest and that your beanies remain for at least a few more weeks. My handicap sticker/decal comes in handy when I have to drive myself somewhere.

I went to babies r' us yesterday and ordered the crib, and the car seats are being delivered on Wed...nursery's painted...just waiting on the furniture and the bundles of joy.

Love you all and take care

:D Hi Ladies: just returned home from my U/S and the beanies weigh 4lbs each. Everything looked ok just cramped in there so the Nurse could barely see baby A.
