Hi Di

Thanks for your 17 Sept message. Sorry to be slow getting back - have had a difficult 10 days or so. Interesting that you have one ovary more reliable than the other. My non-lazy (but oddly behaved) ovary has a 20 mm follicle on Day 3 this month, after another high Estradiol reading. So I'm hoping the clinic will scan me to see if I ovulated ok (I've just had a surge). Nerve-racking, isn't it?

My clinic's now agreed to try stims at the lower end of my cycle, but this month I'm far too high - even I can see that! What I'd like in the meantime is more 'hands-on' tests (eg for LH and Prog.) and scans in non-med cycles, too - just in case there's anything we can do to make a difference. This is a good clinic in terms of overall results, but understandably most of their effort goes into younger clients with much better chances.

I'm nervous about changing clinics due to my age (turned 46 last week). I guess you're much younger and not having a problem with getting accepted? I'm about to post an 'over-45s' message to see if anyone has any recommendations!

Best wishes,
Clunas.

Hi Clunas,
Sorry to hear you've had such a tough time recently - this is my 3rd clinic and although its apprehensive trying somewhere new with completely new staff who don't know you - I've found the experience to be well worth it as each of the units has been more forward thinking then the previous!
Have you had a lot of difficulty getting accepted by units cos of your age? I'm 37 now and have been trying for 8 years.
Take care,
Di
