Carolyn - thanks for letting me know. I'd got it wrong, have appointment wednesday so have extra day to slay Forest of Dean.... Bic - do not fail me now!

Sorry you're a bit down lovely. It is just so frustrating and endless and scary and arghhh sometimes. Need to have a blow out now and again. You need a proper cuddley night in, pjs, movie, duvet on the sofa, chocolate and an early night.
You'll feel better when you know you're doing another ivf cycle again - it'll be your fall back, plan B and you'll feel more relaxed about your natural cycles. You here about it a lot on these boards - getting pregnant while waiting to dereg. Look at our Steph - preg at her supressed scan!
Hope you're feeling a bit better anyway.

On an entirely different note - did you say you lived in Finchley? I'm thinking of moving there, whats it like?

Hi guys just a quick one for info.

I just got a call from hammersmith about my next FET. They said that because of the Christmas shut down, the cut off for starting day 21 Buserelin (down reg) is the 16th Novemeber. She didn't say when they would be opening again.
Anyway - thought you guys would want to know, esp Carolyn if you'd like to get a cycle in before Chrsitmas.

Love, Lola

Lola

Once mood that bad, it can only get better!!!!

Thanks for letting me know that about dates/cut off. Not sure whether we will be able to cycle again pre-Xmas as cannot get to see Mr Trew until 31st to even agree a plan. I'd rather keep my frosties for now but could try a FET or may be he will put me on a shorter cycle than Magara.

Who the hell knows? Guess that I shall just have to wait and see. May be have the joys of down regging pre-Xmas and stimmies in the New Year

How did you find the acu? Any good?

Hi Lola

Just a quick drop in for me. We were on page 2. SHOCK. HORROR

Daniel - my acu man - was off sick last week but he got me a transfer to Christine. I liked her. Very straight forward. This was my pre-AF session so never the highlight of the month. Seems to have done the trick as she should be here tomorrow right on Day 31.

Just wondered what you thought of her after your first acu session. Any good or not? When do you go again?

Looked out for your signature graffeti on the mags. Different range of mags - looked for Hello but nowhere to be seen!!! But room does beat the yellow, trying to be cheerful sofas down in Hammersmith.

Anyhow, still over 2 weeks until we go to see Trewster. Would love to get in a cycle pre-Xmas but resigned to a cycle over Xmas - down regging before and stimmies afterwards. Should make me a real joy to be with but don't care - just want to get on with it.

Anyway X Factor is back so that is something to look forward to every week!!!

Hope you are doing ok and so is everyone else.

Love Carolyn xx

Hi Carolyn
Have been thinking about you - have been sticky beaking at the April thread and you seem a bit, I don't know, disillusioned? A bit low. Are you ok?
It is a shame you couldn't get a cycle in before Christmas, if only because we could be cycling together! Which would have been a laugh in the floral lounge. Anyhoo, if the welsh voodoo does its trick, you'll be up the duff by then and won't need ivf - keep believin'!!!

Acu was good - I have Christine. She is very profesh and scientific - I like her. I don't think she gets my sense of humour though. Shes not alone.

She was asking how I heard about them and I said via you. She asked who you saw, I said Daniel, she asked which one and I said the handsome one. She said theres a whole chat room devoted to how handsome he is. Is he that gorgeous????
It completely changed my af - for the better. And she's going to sort my chronic sinusitis out - last week saw me lying there like a prostrate Dalek with 2 whopping needles sticking out of my face. Seeing her again next week, just before start down regging.
Honestly I'm feeling a bit wierd about my next cycle. I'm having nightmares already. Don't know why I'm making such a big deal out of it, I should be old hand now, taking it in my stride. Think its because its a year since first disastrous cycle and the ectopic, things should be so different - baby would be 3 months now. STOP that! No entry! Turn around and stick to the sunny side of the street!

Anyways missie, hope you're feeling ok - maybe we'll bump into eachother in number 126 at some point - I'll be the one doing the Davros King of the Daleks impression.

take care

Lola

Dear Hammers

Quick Question

Has anyone had to pay for follow up consultation with consultant after BFN??? Got invoice for £175 last night for a follow-up back in May. Went off the deep end. Plus they sent another bill for tests on dh last December. Called the billing bloke and he was unhelpful and bloody rude. Have had that with him before. Called my insurance about the tests and they have paid for them already. On the admin side I am not sure Hammersmith have a bloody clue. Nice lady at Norwich Union agreed to call and sort out test costs so that is a start.

Now looked at Protocol and looks like follow up is included in price for a fresh cycle. Have called Trew's assistant this morning to see if she can sort me out. She is way more helpful than admin man

Anybody know if do/don't have to pay for follow up after a -ve then that would be very useful for me. Would give me one less thing to fret about!!!

Thanks as always. Hope that you are all doing well - what news???
Carolyn xxx

Lola - I thought that Christine was serious too but good. Cannot believe what you said about Daniel - bet she'll tell him  Needles in your face - OMG!!!!!!!!!

I can so imagine why it is really rough for you at this time of year. I sneak in on Oct 05 chicks to see how you are doing!!! However, you are soon to go again so must stay focused on this cycle.

I've not been fab for last month or so - rows over baby dancing, dh under pressure at work plus a year since he lost his Dad etc etc. I am just sick & tired of waiting-waiting so booked to see Mr Trew (probably at a cost of £175) in 2 weeks to persuade him to allow me to cycle ASAP. So hope that we could cycle together and spy each other in the yellow-blue lounge!!! I'll try to play catch up. Thanks for keeping an eye on me. I will be ok. Just need to pull myself up a bit. 8)

Hi Lola

Thanks for thinking of me. I am so impressed that you remembered or even spotted my ticker.

I think that you may just have started - today - is that right? I really really hope that this is the one for you hun.

I am really ok. Just trying to take some time out of ivf to make the most of the fact that I am not working flat out right now. Has seemed like quite a long wait since we decided that we were ready - 5 weeks just to get a 15 mins chat with Mr T. Plus seems a real shame to be off work and sulking all the time. Been busy out & about. Saw Keane in concert at Allie Pally on Thursday. Think that it was the first concert that my hubbie and I had ever been too together - different tastes. Plus getting well into X Factor Saturdays which means no going out until Xmas!!!

Just feel ready to go again - although not sure that I will when I start. So we will see what Trewster says tomorrow. If I am short of time to do a fresh cycle now pre-Xmas may ask whether we can FET with you. Going to ask him about 3 back given my age. Plus will ask again about blasts - think that is the plan for you this time??

I could be right behind you!!!

Will let you know after tomorrow. Hope that down regging not too awful for you.

Love
Carolyn xxx

PS -What news on our other Hammers ????? Hope that you are all doing well and have not deserted Lola and I!!!???

Hey Lola

I could yet be meeting you at the yellow-blue sofa city!!!

I am back from the hospital!!! Mr Trew is my hero again. He even saw us 10 mins early so less time for my stress levels to rise into orbit.

Trewster had said that we had to wait post-surgery until after Xmas when we last saw him back in August but neither os us mentioned the surgery today. Woke up in the night and could not sleep as so stressed that he would not allow us to try pre-Xmas or that we did not have enough time for the protocol that we did 1st time around. But explained that I am on sabbatical from my v stressful job but not sure how much longer that this can go on (due to £) and really emphasisied the fact that I wanted to get on with it whilst I was not working as so much easier to manage appointments etc etc. Dh piled in and backed me up - think that he wants a quiet life & to shut me up!!!

AND GUESS WHAT TREWSTER HAS AGREED!!!! I am so much happier now that I have a plan. Plus he is going to put me on the short antagonist protocol this time (did Day 2 Long protocol before) due to timings so don't even have to be on 2ww over Xmas & no down regging which went on for 18 days last time for me. So if AF shows on the right day, I will be starting stimmies on 16th November. If all goes well then EC/ET should be right at the end of November. Bit worried about over stimulating & he was talking about upping my does as I was 6 months older but then decided to go with the same dose as no down regging.

I simply cannot believe it - after all the waiting and the two operations this summer that it might be so close for me. Know that there are loads of hurdles to clear but somehow feel that I will be able to deal with this as never expected to get an attempt in now and also given that it will be 20 injections less than last time around and over 2 weeks shorter. He sent us straight to the nurse in sofa city to book a planning appointment. She started saying that they were fully booked (which was one of my panics in the night) but my this stage with Trewster's sheet of paper in hand there was no way that I was going to give an inch. She went to speak to one of the nurses and they added an extra appointment so will see me next Tuesday. So I am all set. Now all I need to do is change my ticker so can count down to starting again.

Think that you are down regging now so what will your timing for the FET be? Will we now be cycle buddies fighting over the magazines!!!! Do tell.........

Hope that everyone else is still hanging in there - any news???

Lots of Love

Jen - Hope that they'll let you start soon.

Lola - you and me are in this together girl. What a hoot if we are in ET together. 8) They will not know what has hit them. We might be on for it. Looks from new protocol that they expect about 12 days of jabs. That would have me get to EC around about 30th if AF behaves herself and appears on time. So I guess ET would be 1st Dec?????

Hope that down regging not too shocking. I had a few hot sweats and a bit headachy. You??

Team song suggestions:

- Not very original but has to be on there - I (We) Will Survive

- Could go a bit deeper - The Killers - For Reasons Unknown - meant to be seeing them on 26th Dec at Brixton. Should be in a right hormonal state by then

- Or given it is an Abba week on X Factor then how about - Mama Mia

Your ideas?

Seeing nurse on Tuesday so should find out a little more then. Let me know when you go for your scan/bloods too. I shall look out for you in your spanky pants! My first bloods should be 16th if AF behaves for me.

Had acu last night with looker Daniel - could not look him in the eye in case Christine had warned of my older lady crush!!! We have agreed a regime around cycle 2. Are you doing the same? I am going again just before AF to really tidy me up. Then am going on Day 6 of stimmies. Then the killer blow. 2 times of ET day. Once before and then afterwards. They will do even if a Saturday. Daniel told me that is the bit that is called the German Protocol and has been known to lift success rates by 15%. Let me know if you have talked to Christine and what she has suggested for you.

Hang in there. What Xmas presents we are going to get!

Love Carolyn xx

hey jen! Thanks sweety, i've really neglected the phoenixen but have been popping in regularly to see how everyone's getting on. Hope youre ok after your move and everything else - you've had a tough year. And you still sound so upbeat! You are a star!

Carolyn - Oh. My. God. I reckon our ET will be same day! heh heh heh.
Don't worry about young Daniel - I did not divulge names.... I think I'm seeing him on Monday as Christine not available. Am looking forward to that.... I'm having session mid AF (monday) then after that dont' know really, she did tell me but I was in a world of my own last visit. I know she wants me in before and after ET - maybe we can get a group discount??? I don't know how thats going to work really as ET is usually 7.30 start???? We'll see.

Down regging going ok so far - not as many side effects as last twice. Got first hot flush last night, looking forward to more of those on these cold winter evenings.
Right song... I too am hooked once again on the X factor. Just when I think I've outgrown my Simon crush, it raises its teenage head again to shame me. I hate the MacDonald Brothers. Why are they still there??? Why???
I think Abba song is good idea. My song on the octos used to be Tom Jones "She's a Laydeh" a rousing chorus of that always seemed to do the trick.
so ummm, choices are Mama Mia, take a Chance on Me (too wry?), Dancing Queen, SOS.

I wouldn't mind seeing The Killers. Not listened to their new album yet though - whats it like?

OK buddy, onwards!
Take care

Hi Lola

ET together. HA HA HA. None of them will want to do that shift will they!!! Daniel told me that they work it out for us even if Saturday for ET. He has other Hammersmith ladies so guess that he knows the form. We will both be in there at 6.30am. YUK. Tell me what you think of Daniel. Sound or am I just being desperate at my advanced age!!!

Just a quickie really as saw your comment on the Killers. Sam's Town is such a v v good album. Quite different to Hot Fuss but equally great. Just wanted to post and let you know that tickets for additional dates went on sale today. They play two nights at Wembley Arena towards the end of Feb. May be sold out already. I had to resort to buying my Brixton tickets on e-bay. Dh hates so am going with a mate. Tickets were expensive but told dh that it could be my Xmas pressie!!!

XFactor and Abba tomorrow. Exited already. McDonalds are so shocking. Should have gone Rod Stewart week for the kilts alone. I am keen on Ray (cradle snatching), Leona (how pretty is she), Ben (alongwith everyone else) and Eaton Rd have their moments. Think that Nikita is singing Dancing Queen which I love. Ray has Waterloo.

Have a lovely weekend. Glad DR not too mad/bad. I could do with a hot sweat given how blimin freezing it is!
